This is a splendid song for the relationship between Sauron and Galadriel with the former being the evil one who is fascinated by the beautiful Galadriel which finally ends in season 2 as bitter foes.
Sauron isn't fascinated by Galadriel or any of his victims - he just wants to tear them down and hurt them. There's nothing romantic about a sex offender and a drug dealer is not your friend, no matter how superficially charming they might seem to be to the unwary. The only answer to Sauron is to reject him outright.
Respectfully I think that Tolkien's message was that Sauron attempts to corrupt people through temptation and then reduce them to a shadow. Galadriel was being tempted here, yes, but her response was the right one - to reject the Deceiver. Once he had what he wanted Sauron would have disposed of her and never looked back, or worse, reduced her to a Nazghul - a mindless puppet.
Its on par with the music to Xena and Ares. He had a thing for her just like Sauron does for Galadriel. Both women are stronger. They resisted these two bad boys
No way I think Sauron has a “thing” for Galadriel. It was 99.99% manipulation with a few moments of actual feeling that passed quickly. He just wanted her out of the way.
They had both developed feelings for one another when there was twist in the story that tore them apart. And now, as the previous comment srates, it is indeed complicated. 😅
@@alexiswilde I have to respectfully disagree - the show is true to Tolkien's lore in that Sauron appears to have feelings for Galadriel but only because he wants to use her. Galadriel is tempted but eventually realises that Sauron is the abusive boyfriend who offers Heaven but only leaves black eyes and empty bank accounts. She later goes on to marry an Elven king. The interplay between the two actors _is_ extremely well done but Sauron is the Satan of Middle Earth, the only answer is to reject his advances and steer clear of him, not mistake his behaviour for romantic interest.
@@tompearce5418Yes, I am fully aware, I have read Tolkien since the seventies and know the family trees of some elves and even sindarin and quenya by heart. 😊 I am refering to the tv-series, where Vickers has spoken about Sauron's twisted obsession with Galadriel, who has evidently had enough of him. (Good for her!) I suspect though, since Sauron is the very poster boy for toxic behaviour, that he'll try to run over her boundaries in the worst way possible. (Like 'oh she said no, so then I'll kill her with my fancy crown). I fully agree that Sauron's idea of a relationship has to do with greed and self-serving. That's what makes his charismatic surface so terrifying. 😬
@@tompearce5418 Yes, I am well aware of the source material. Have been a Tolkien reader since the seventies and know both Sindarin and Quenya, and have read a lot more than the main source material, since I am an absolutely hopeless academic. 😊 I was refering to the tv-series, where both writers/producers and actors have spoken of the feelings developing. Though, naturally, I do not believe Sauron to understand love the way a healthy person would. To him, I suspect, it is greed and self-serving beyond all else. And no, nobody would probably see Sauron as anything but a very toxic influence. That is what makes his carismatic surface so scary. I would hardly call this romantic, stabbing someone with a fancy crown for being blown off. 😂 Hope I explained myself better. 😊
Sauron is basically an angel (a Maia), but in his case - a fallen angel.

"He never left!"
Wow. If ever there was an edit that fit that song perfectly this is it.
DId not expect this song to fit them so well, and yet! Amazing work.

omg the song is amazing for both
I just thought about this the other day, I was like 'someone has to make an edit of them using this song'. Well done! ❤
Me too!
Невероятно❤
Я хочу чтобы их история продолжалась!
Лысый безос тебе такое продолжение сделает, что Толкиен будет как пропеллер вертеться в гробу и проклинать этого сатаниста всю следующую эпоху
STUNNING ❤
Muito bom 😅❤
That's their song right there
I love it ❤
Nicely done!

I thought it was a joke, are they a thing in the series?
Not really, but kinda. It's complicated 😀
