I saw your video on Old Maps I am from New York Long Island I use an app called Maprika . You can used it on any device you can take any historical map and put it on any current map and it will GPS right to that location. So with Maprika and what I learned of you should really up my game thank you so much Denis
I was metal detecting in utah and found a sword, a wire frame that looks sort of like glasses, and some clearish stones in it. A really cool box that had decorative metal all around it under a large boulder.
Hey@@4MWICKCITY A two box will only pick up objects about the size of a small pop can and larger. Its only good for finding large treasures. The whites Tm 808 two box is a good detector. if you don't mind finding all the small things also then a metal detector with a large coil will work.
@@TerryCartertreasurehunter I'm actually in Ecuador and for the first time i been paning for gold for the past 2 days id also like a water proof detector that can detect gold thx for your response
I don't doubt this at all. My dad and two of his brothers use to bury jars of "treasures" in the mountains where they use to hunt. Sadly, they have all passed. I have taken my detector to a few of their places, but I've yet to find anything. Maybe one of these days. Nice finds though!
I live in Southern Utah. I metal detect.. Lots of Legends and stories of lost treasure. Sure they exist all over. I really enjoyed this! The guy in the white shirt and tie looks so familiar to me?
Where I come from those are called jars. Lol !!! Nice find guys. Let me know if you need help with a detector that will go down 2 feet deep. My Garrett ATX with the big coil should do the trick.
yep one helluva story my friends ! there obviously is something there or was there because he would not of left those keys in the jars I think it's a chest and probably buried deeper than 2.feet good luck and I sincerely hope you guys find it and please at least let us know if you do !
Great vid and finds but laughed really hard with the way he was shakin those old coins together and letting them scratch each other up in that jar lol. Also - a treasure map on that paper but no sheet protector lol. Just tape it on a regular sheet of paper and let it get torn up handling it like that. ha ha ha ha. Great finds tho - would have LOVED to be the one that found it.
they found a few coins scattered here and there, but never found a big treasure. They have tried to get me to go back with them but my work has kept me too busy and haven't been able to get the time off
Did you ever find the mother load if not did you make a line marker between each find to see if they are in line with each other it may be pointing to the next container.
No they never found the mother load, I haven't been able to go there with them to use a two box, but hopefully this spring. Thats a great idea line makers between each find. If we ever make it there I have to have them try that. Thanks
A unique way to show off one's lifetime of coin hunting, there's no treasure folks but it is a nice story,so nice in fact I've held onto it all these years, as my grandfather used to tell us the same story jars Keys the whole nine yards right down to the note, and paper money..I bet they're related one way or another...I hope not,,,, only kidding only kidding only.... It's one of life's oldest cons show a little bit of your treasure in order to build interest in the bigger treasure l,which never existed
i own deep metal detectors and know how to use them, video is been here for a while, but if u still need any help at all let me know, and good luck, i hope to see your next video w the find.
Hey Kerry I haven't heard from you for ever, where have you been hiding. Yes I believe there is something to the Carre Shinob, but I don't know if thats what the old Utes called it. Take care
Terry Carter.... Just been living life the best I can! I was pretty sick over the last year. Was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, and it was really taking it's toll. Was down over 60 lbs., and feeling poorly. But I'm doing much better now. Still have a ways to go. I check the forums from time to time, still. But I haven't been out to do anything, since I went out to do some research on something with Digger about 7 years ago. How have you been?
Diabetes sucks, my wife came down with type one and I see what she has to go through so I feel for you. Life's been good can't complain to much, Im glad to see that your still around.
Yeah the last time I think I talked to him was at my wife's and my wedding 4 years ago. If you go metal detecting often you should go with my brother. He lives out there he's got one of the nicest metal detectors on the market so he says. I've always wanted to go, but I don't have a metal detector myself, and my brother lives all the way in Tooele so it makes it hard. Were trying to plan a trip. I want to go hunt for Red Beryl.
Looks like the 2 same keys are for opening a Safe Deposit outer door and the 3rd key is for the Safe Deposit Box. Nice find. Really enjoy your show, thank you and God Bless
I live in Utah County, Ut do you think there are any places I could look around here? I have an older Whites MLX detector without headphones..thank you Karen
That's wonderful! Could you show my husband and I how to use the detector sometime? We are looking for a hobby to do as we get closer to retirement and have some fun together.
+Scott Karen I also live in Utah County, I used to sale and rent metal detectors and prospecting equipment. You wouldnt believe how many people would rent metal detectors from me because they lost their rings. Some found them but most didn't.
Hey Gary, it's crazy how back then a nickel or a penny could actually buy something and was worth a lot more than it is today. By the way check out the value of of buffalo nickels and Indian head pennies cause thats what they were.
@@TerryCartertreasurehunter so true, lol! I've got a belt with indian head nickels as a matter of fact. But I wouldn't call that a baried hord. Why doesn't anyone talk about the lost Thomas roedes mine in Utah? If you like this stuff it may interest you.

Hey Sara, ONFP ran out of money so they couldn't continue to fight the government. So they never made it back, most of the partners have passed away now.

Thank you. I guess we will figure out the dials some how. We for not have a head phone. Shld I take a picture of what kind we have to show you? I could do that. We have found some wire and lots of pull tabs. We went to the fort but will not let us near that place to try and detect. All of the land got boughten up by the state and it is prohibited yo hunt.
Anyone with collectibles could in theory pretend they just found them randomly and create a treasure hunt storyline. Then build it up, get an audience interested, then all of a sudden find the mother load and get whatever attention or minor fame and recognition that such a situation would bring about.

Most decent metal detectors are good to a depth of about 18 inches. However big targets like a culvert can be detected to about 6 to 10 feet.

They are known as mason jars. Quart Jars, pint jars, it’s deff a Jar.
