Do you think you could do a videos on phrases for meeting people/conversation starters? And maybe advice for meeting people when you're still learning the language? I feel like I usually start talking to people by complementing them buy i don't know how to do that in spanish. Much love💗 -leah

Hey Laura, thank you so much, really love your content. How would you suggest getting the most out of such comprehensible input videos? Just listening it multiple times or taking notes making flashcards etc. etc.? Thank you once again for the content, I was waiting the whole week for your video :-P
Definitely go some flashcards or do a quizlet with the new vocab you learn! (If you have the time!) If not just translate the words you don't understand and write them down! That way it will probably be easier for them to stick, even if you don't revise them. And later on you may try to remember the word and be like, 'ah, I knew this, what was it' you seach the word again and you wil be like 'ahh!' and you will probably remember it better, (you may end up forgetting the word several times, but there will be a point in which you just will remember). And then watch the video again! As long as you don't get to bored, the more you watch it the more you will understand!!

No confundir auriculares con cascos. Cascos: Aparato compuesto por dos auriculares unidos por una tira curvada, que se ajusta a la cabeza y permite o mejora la recepción del sonido.(RAE)

Me gusta aprender nuevos sinónimos, y sobre todo escuchar tu vo/thththththth/:). Quiero compartirte algunos nombres de cosas que has mencionado con la variedad de habla mexicana: rollo patatero = una mamada (pendejada); tela gorda = tela ancha (mi lado "bulgarcito" quiere hacer una broma en doble sentido con la palabra "gorda", pero me abstengo por respeto.); cremallera = zierre; cascos = audifonos alámbricos vs (inalámbricos = wireless) un casco es un "helmet" en este lado del charco; la bolsita para el dinero = monedero; gafas = lentes (gafas creo que se usa para "lentes de sol", hay una canción de antaño que dice "mis gafas oscuras..."); funda = estuche (yo le llamo funda a la funda de la almohada); notas = apuntes (en los EE. UU., la palabra "notas" se consideran un anglicismo); ordenador = computadora; batería = pila. No voy al supermercado con bolsas, siento que me veo muy puñalon = afeminado, y yo soy bien "machin gun" = macho. Aprendí la palabra mosquetón, creo que me hubiese referido a esa chingadera = cosa como un grillete. Saludos desde los "Establos Unidos" que hay más de 30 millones de hispanohablantes. Para terminar, entiendo el 98% de todo tu vocabulario porque la mitad de mis profesores en la universidad eran españoles: de Madrid "iguanas ranas" = igual que tú. Y yo si se que España está en México - I'm just kitting - te estoy cabuleando = bromeando/engañando - quise decir África....I can't help myself - Hey, no hay que olvidar las Islas Canarías. Ya había acabado y me acorde de mono = bonito/nice que se puede utilizar en doble sentido, "mira ese chico se ve bien mono - seguro se escapó del circo."

Hola, no sería mejor llamarles audífonos a los "cascos", cascos suena más a un sombrero para proteger la cabeza 🙂🙂🙂 en fin... No importa saludos Laura
En teoria son "cascos" cuando son supra-aurales, del tipo "Headset" pero muchas veces usamos cascos de manera informal aunque sean intraurales, y en España se les dice "auriculares" no audifonos a estos

Es el término coloquial usado en España, aunque su origen está en los auriculares de los años 40/50/60 que eran grandes y tenían un armazón duro encima de la cabeza.
usamos muchos cascos cuando son tipo supra-aurales "Headset", y los intraurales les solemos llamar auriculares en lugar de audifonos
