I am thinking about the creamy crack after being natural for a couple years. If I end up relaxing, I am going straight back to AFFIRM, KERACARE AND DESIGN ESSENTIALS. Nothing more! My previously relaxed hair flourished with products from those lines.
@@samminu Affirm and Keracare are from the same company Avlon. Affirm is their salon quality relaxer system , while Keracare is their ‘at home’ maintenance products.
I totally agree with you that relaxer stopped working on myself. The both moisturizer you talk about the pink one and ors are the worst moisturizer I ever used 🥴🥴🥴 my hair hate them let my hair brittle , greasy and nappy. I tried the shea moisture brand dind like any of their problems as you said definitely not for relaxed hair. If you like crece pelo you would love silicon mix is from the same brand. If ever wanna try an amazing protein treatment I recommend you sebastian penetrate deep repair and straightening thanks me later . Best thing I ever put on my hair have been using it for years once a Month 😊💡🌟🙏🏽
I totally agree with you about the Shea Moisture Jamaican black castor oil leave-in conditioner. I hate this product, it did not detangle my hair at all. I gave it about 5 chances then threw it away, it’s horrible.
I agree. Unfortunately the Shea Moisture JBCO leave-conditioner weighed my hair down so much. I tried using it on my tow dryed hair as well as dry hair and the results were equally dissappointing on my hair.
I like ORS but their moisturizer just don’t cut it for me and i realized that years ago like 15yrs ago😅 Pink luster’s was good but when my mom used it on my natural hair. Crece Pelo is the truth!! I’ve used it forr yearsssss 👌🏾 great video!!
Thank you for the feedback love. ORS has great products, i will just stay away from the moisturizers. My mom used that pink lotion when I was a kid as well. Jeez, the memories lol. Glad you know about that deep conditioner, it is a gem. ❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕
Hey girl......you made me laugh so much in this video 😂😂😂. Thanks for all your tips ......it's the best......I am going to try that one .........thanks for your HONEST opinion sweetie , it's just not for relaxed hair. 👍👍👍.
The pink oil and other so called moisturizers are not being used correctly. It's for the relaxer stretches and ponytails. It's really supposed to not be used on straight styles, but for protective styles.
I eliminated all natural hair products from my routine including Shea Moisture. I find them to be too heavy on my relaxed hair because of all the oils and butters that are in them. I like my hair to be light weight and flowy through the whole week, and natural hair products don’t give me those results.
I think is because maybe you guys have less dense or maybe your texture is fine cos my coarse hair loves Some SheaMoisture products and my relaxed hair is thriving and long so I think is how your raw natural is determines what kinda of products you will use when relaxed
I'm not going to throw tomatoes, but if you like salads I'll make you one lol. I am natural but I love salon products for my hair. Joicio, Redken, Paul Mitchell etc. Your hair is so pretty 🦋 you're doing a good job
I had the same result as you with the shea moisture. I not a fan of shea moisture. I love the shampoo and conditioner of motions. I stopped also with moisturizing my hair ass my hair is also shedding and breaking after using the moisturizer.
Sorry you had that experience with Shea Moisture as well. Motion shampoo and conditioner is the GOAT, I'm so happy you love it. Yasss no more moisturizing! You are an expert at this. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I never liked Shea moisture products . I tried their shampoo once and my hair broke off .. so all I use is suave clarifying shampoo , the olaplex line, my relaxer I use olive miracle, I use B&B moisturizer, creme of nature argan oil leave in conditioner spray and I use my own herbal hair oil
Yes try that shampoo, it's amazing. No I don't have any other. But I would love to try the Redkin Soft Shampoo and Design Essential Oat Protein and Henna Shampoo. Those are on my wishlist.
Ogx & Shea moisture deep conditioner are both protein based products and should not be used every wash. I don’t care for the ogx but do love the jbco deep conditioner for protein treatments. The jbco deep conditioner a little bit goes a long way, I’m not heavy handed with this one on my relaxed hair but use a little more on my daughters natural hair. Dark n lovely is my favorite box relaxer too.
Thank you for that great insight! OGX is definitely not my fave at all. I am gonna read up on that deep conditioner. Dark n Lovely takes the cake when it comes to relaxer. Absolute fave! ❤️🙌🏾
Speaking about relaxers, it not processing means it's no longer working for the hair. It happened with Just for me as a child, no processing, tingles, nothing; the stylist had to put Bantu relaxer over it for it to process. Had to be done with the box after that.
I just subscribed to your channel but I think when talking you please shouldn't generalize that is not good for Relaxed hair cos you can't talk for we all darling nope. Just tell us it doesn't help you not everyone❤️🤗
I think people get relaxed and texlaxed hair discombobulated. That's where the real comes from. It you have texture to your hair, then you are not relaxed.
Thanks for your favorite conditioner recommendations!
You are so welcome ❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you love for the great recommendation!!! I gotta agree with those moisturizers, especially the pink lotion. The worse!! Haha.
I agree with all u have said. Dark and lovely is bomb 💣. Ors is a fail for me, never tried that shae moisture. Everything that the throw out, fail.
Right! Complete fail. Super disappointing

The worst Kimberly! I wish I didn't buy it, it didn't detangle my hair as well. I'm so sorry you had to go through that as well.

I use pink oil moisturizer for sew in/box braids take down.
Never heard of that technique. How do you love it?

Thanks for confirming this! This is what I thought, too. I feel as your relaxer gets older, it will definitely need some type of moisturizer!

I appreciate that Faustina! Thank you so much. ❤️❤️
So glad I found your channel went through similar situations from your last video on M&s now I can get back on track ❤️ new sub
Yes hon. No matter how people try to convince me, I will never go back to moisturizing and sealing. Its not for relaxed hair.
I am so glad I can help, and thank you for subscribing!! ❤️❤️🙌🏾.
@@samminu no problem ❤️
I never liked the ORS one- never processed my hair lye or no lye- just always underprocessed. I think no everyone can have the same relaxer.

How do you keep your hair moisturized daily. Thanks
I use a glossing polisher twice a day. The one I am currently using is from proclaim.
Lol that crying man had me cracking up! I remember that episode
Haha 🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭
Is Motion shampoo and conditioner only for relaxed hair???
Thank you.
No it can use on natural hair as well. It's so moisturizing that your natural hair would love it.

How long do you stretch between relaxers?
I relaxed my hair every 2 months.
Speaking about relaxers, it not processing means it's no longer working for the hair. It happened with Just for me as a child, no processing, tingles, nothing; the stylist had to put Bantu relaxer over it for it to process. Had to be done with the box after that.
Interesting! Thank you Kris for that. I sure this new kit relaxer I'm currently using doesn't fail me. 🤞🏾🤞🏾
Hey, great video but one question: with which products do you replace your moisturizer?
Use a leave in on wash day...then just use oils or serums for the rest of the week :)
Sorry I didn't mentioned this, I use Proclaim Glossing Polisher two times a day.
Yesss Pat!!
Did you seal with oil after moisturizing?
I use to do those two steps method.
@@samminu Ohhh ok
You got the kit that's why, stop using relaxer kits!!
Relaxer kits are fine, just have to find the best ones.
In general, Shea moisture is trash. Their products have terribly messed up both my natural and relaxed hair. TRASH
So disappointing. I was really hoping it would work out for me. I thought natural hair could get away with using. I had no idea. 💔💔
