They actually kinda grew out of that too...anyway i get what you're saying though, people change theres nothing wrong with that it's good that they do personally i love the whole makeup/visual kei thing but i respect and love the music much more i'm not gonna wanna look at you if your music is crap no matter how much eyeliner and fanservice you have.
@3X3Beastsu You cant really blame him, his voice is starting to fade because the way that he sings is seriously hurting his vocal chords and is slowly killing it, so he has to stop pushing it so hard during concerts and take breaks from singing every now and then. Something similar to what Corey Taylor from Slipknot is going thru
@18ps3anos He's not using a normal growl, he has his own unique way of growling. you can tell by his low growls and REALLY REALLY high growls, I myself have been learning to do his high growl and trust me, it hurts like fuck after 20 mins or so of growling, Kyo has been doing it for years and also during concerts which usually last an hour or maybe more. And also after the high growl i realize that its really hard to sing, you need to really force the sound out in order to sing.
@18ps3anos Sure, I mean he earned his own personal style, I still like Kyo's vocals. But in the latest lives, he always combines the growls with the parts he used to sing with his beautiful voice :/ He massacres some songs.. Not that I dislike growls, on the contrary.
I was over at my tomodachi's (friend's) house and I had my mini speakers and I was playing this song and I called down to her from the top bunk saying something like this: ME: If you hear some weird moaning noises (0:36) that's Dir En Grey. HER: Ha ha! Suuuuure~ XD I love the way the singer looks... Is his name Kyo? :P I know this after watching this video: I will definately become a Dir En Grey fan ASAP

あー唯一NHKで歌ってくれたやつだ！
今のV系の流れを拡げたバンドの１つだよね。和風だったり、シャウトしたり、曲によってメーク衣装変えて。
今のV系はホストっぽいの多くてあまり手に取らなくなったけど、この時代は色んなバンドがあって楽しかったなぁ。
これともう一つだけ glass skin を歌ってくれてますよ、Dir側からの要求で歌詞はついてないですけど
言うてDIRが出てからDIRのパクリバンドが増えましたね 自分も今のホストみたいなV系バンドに全く興味ないです
