they did what ever they liked to our ancestors yet even after people claim the holocaust was bad most of them would have done it if they could (so many people in world wants to destroy israel and it’s people that was built by Holocaust survivors, their children, wealthy jews that donated, and also jews from the middle east).
      in short: People are hypocrites…
they pretend they care but they can do much worse from the people their judge… sure hitler caused the holocaust but people even after seeing that 6M of us were killed will still do the same cause we are “demons”💀

I think people don't understand that there is a big difference between standing up as an adult versus a child. Children can NOT defend themselves against an adult. When a grownup screams, it triggers their fight or flight response, except they can not fight, and they can not leave. It's a survival mechanism. Children will succumb to their abusers because they want to survive. Bruno doesn't understand why nazi camps exist, he does understand the complexities of evil. He just knows he wants to live until tomorrow, and that means telling the adult whatever b.s. they want to hear.

And this is how millions justified what the silently allowed to happen. “I was scared”, “I didn’t know”. It might be true in this child’s case but not for the adults who let it happen. Its happening in the US. Millions who sit silently as children are killed every other day in schools, millions who sit silently and allow unnarmed black men be murdered by trigger happy police officers, millions who excuse the racist rhetoric during this last election cycle. It can happen again and therewill always be a silent majority that will allow it to happen because they’ve convinced themselves its justified and ok.

SPOILER ALERT FOR ALL THOSE BOZOS DUMB ENOUGH TO OPEN THE COMMENT SECTION NOT EXPECTING SPOILERS
The fact that schmuel still talked to him after is amazing, for forgiving him and the fact that he lived to see another day. Bruno was scared, and that is why he lied, and perhaps that is why schmuel forgave him. They died together, possibly being the saddest scene, with this being the 2nd saddest
Edit: listen people, I would like to apologize for the spoilers, but I would also like to apologize on behalf of the parents who had no idea their children were going to grow up to be dumb enough to look in the comment section of a movie they want to watch.
