I grew kale and peppermint the first time i bought it, and there was so much of them. The peppermint didn't last long, but the kale kept growing back. The only thing is that the kale grew taller than this system, so I had to get a different one, and it still outgrew it 😅 I kept cutting it down piece by piece and cooking it in my breakfast and it adds a kick to it cause the kale is bitter and gives everything a bite
While this is nice, it's too small. Now the price is awesome. But you can get a much larger container with a lid from your big box store, which will give you a lot more space to grow more. For a family of four, for example, there's no way even the lettuce will be enough for even one meal. Personally, I'd rather just have a tower garden, whether DIY or store bought. You can grow so much more food in a small footprint. If I were to buy this, I'd only grow mint and basil. There's not enough space to grow extra things like lettuce.
