I was 13 in 1972 and what a shitload of good music we had back then! Almost every day there was a new fantastic song on the radio, yeah, those were good times!
If there has ever been a song to just get up and dance to wether you can dance or not, this is it!!! Fantastic blast from the past Thx uploader brilliant!!
I was 11 years old when this song came out on the radio, I lucked up on it here by accident, haven't heard it since the 70's. It was my favorite song back then, and it's still a great song today, thanks for posting this
Wonderful memories of the summer of '72. I was an american boy with a german girlfriend spending the summer in bavaria. It was a big hit in Germany and we sang it together all the time...Thanks for the good times Christel!
I love this song...I was 7 yrs old in 1972 (primary one school) and all the seniors in upper primary were singing this tune- on their desks! Song brought tears to my eye as I recall my wonderful long-gone childhood days! sigh.....FLOR LEOW frm Singapore. Thank U for airing this video. Honto Domo Arigato!
I was a teenager in 1972 and remember my beautiful holiday in Austria, Bregenz am Bodensee + Beautiful Sunday and my beautiful friends:) Great memories
This song reminded of East London, South Africa. Met Poppy, John and others at the disco when still working in M/V Falmouth. Wish, do not lost their home address . Very good friends.Love this song and thanks for posting.
Love love love this song brings back memories of my mom and her friend doing the bunny hop in the kitchen. LOL Good times there will never be music like this again . I'm glad I got to grow up in this era.
This song is so cool - its the kind of song we hear every 5 years on the radio to which it grabs our utmost attention , I love that fact that I just sent this video to some of the die -hard sabbath & jerrygarcia fans , may this music teach those peter fonda fanatic's just how beautful a sunday can be !
This is December 2023 and this classic, timeless and iconic song continues to be exceedingly entertaining, exceptionally enthralling and excellently enjoyable. The music is marvellously melodious, magnificently memorable, magically momentous and mesmerising. The singing is singularly soulful, spellbinding, superb, sincere and sweet.❤❤❤
is me martha im happy becouse my son inlow jhonny ulloa is coming back from the golf of mexico it was a long gonnnnnnnnn ok i love u and sing for me mr daniiel.......love martha
Thi song brightens up your Sunday especially if your football team has just beaten the rival team the previous day. In the mid-1970s we played this song on Sunday if our team West Ham move away from from the delegation zone in the then First Division.
1977 I remember hearing this riding with a girl friend and two of the cutest guys in school. This song was dated by then but it was a beautiful summer Sunday and we were heading for the water hole. IT fit.
Cute tune. I remember this one from my youth. Call it hokey, call it syrupy, call it schmaltz...I wish I'd written it. The KEY to a good pop song is the hook, and it's all over this song!
This topped the South African charts for an amazing 10 weeks back in 1972, when I was a wee lighty of only 5. Still brings a big smile to face when I hear it.
This wonderful song brings back great memories of my late dad teaching me the slosh at a family wedding years ago. Thanks very much for posting this!!!! :o)
I remember reading in NME about 20 years ago Daniel Boone was to have major throat surgery and had spent several long weeks in the recording studio laying down tracks in case he couldn't sing again...that's the last I ever heard...I even contacted his old record company (Penny Farthing) and various other associated labels (Pye etc..) but never found out any more....
I remember this first time around and then heard it about 7 years ago in a South Korean bar when I was pretty pissed. I always wanted to know who did it and now I know. Nice gentle song with a fab key change. Brilliant !!!
AWSEOME! Takes me right back to my teenage years and the glorious 70s....Never seen Daniel Boone before as I was away at school and missed TOTP and the BBC have, as we know, long since wiped the tapes...so this is doubly great for me....I still love today's music, but nothing can ever beat the 70s for me....Thankyou SO MUCH for posting this...yep - a real 'feel good' song amidst today's uncertain world..
I agree. Great music for sure. Lyrics that are not offensive, not threatening, not sexist, not rap. I was searching for and listening to (Nina and Mike) Una Paloma Blanca and you know,...when you get on U-Tube, especially with the `oldies', you start to wander. At least I do. Nice to find and listen to Beautiful Sunday. I remember doing the slush dance in high school to this tune.
i was singing this at work one day and this young guy just started laughing he said i have the weirdest music really? im only 51 and it occured to me that at least two generations have past since this was popular wow the shit they missed though!!
+boonestead it doesnt matter how old or young you are, this music is far better than that crap at the Grammys with Tiga and that Taxy ? stuff ... good music has no age !!
This brings so maaany memories back. i rememered that that song was played at my mom's works everytime i was there (i was like 5 y/o and couldn't speak one word english) (which is also very strange cause i notice that its lyrics are talking about sunday...) and from then on i was looking for this song, and now, by chance i've found it 10 years later
