I ended up buying tickets to this on ebay after seeing the 2001 rank 1 clip randomly on the net just three weeks before the event. I ended up flying out again the following weekend for Black. After doing almost every year since, this was still the best year IMO. Every year following this more and more house music was included......it just doesn't attract the same crowd.....it's still class though.
what ever happen'd to trance music? i would have been 8 years at this time way to young to attend but would have loved to! i listened to my dads trance records as i grew up and still play them to this day :D the music in 2015 just doesn't give you the same feeling.
its crazy! there are some good classic house/trance nights out there but they're just very far and few between its a shame really. I Dj'd at pacha london a year a go and played house classics like frankie knuckles,marshall jefferson etc and it went down really well the room was packed! just shows old is gold :D
We can complain all we like about how we miss the old Sensation but the truth is ID&T wont really give a crap. Just look at the views on this video compared to the new stuff. They're making shed loads of money, it's not about the music for them any more it's all about bank balances. We're seeing it all over the industry, just look at Guetta and Tiesto now....
I was there, we partied all night until the sunlight came though the roof. You could really see how messed up everybody looked when there was light, haha. I really miss the late 90's and early 00's. Things are so much different now.
these partys were organised by ID&T !!! they were taken over by an american company called SFX or something and thats how EDM came into play and trance music died !! allong with ID&T writing this bring tears to my eyes but it is what it is now !!! but let me tell you something in the old days we used to go to partys and not festivals or concerts back then it was all about the poeple who came to these partys and not the djs who spin there ! if i was 20 now life would suck big time
