I fell in love with the toro brand the first time I used one, bought an older 421 for a few bucks cheep at a swap meet and tore it down and was very impressed with the engineering, now I have a few toros with the older 8horsers are my favs they can blow serious snow
Dang that thing blows some seroius snow! I'd say it can keep with an Ariens single stage, Toro 721, and Honda 720. It cans seriously blow snow. And I noticed at night you will not wake up the neighbors
Wow🎉 this video us under rated. I wanted a gas . Cuz I do 3 of my neighbors yard to. I think it will make it. This was difficult snow. I think I made up my mind
Most impressive- except for the chute control rod which is about 18" too short. They were VERY careful to show the chute being rotated, but only in a close up, so you couldn't see that the operator had to either stretch way over or let go of the bail handle to step around to reach the chute handle to change the direction. That doesn't seem to be much better than having no chute control rod at all. On my wide, steep driveway I have to start at the top and then work my way back and forth, perpendicular to the driveway, down to the street. I must change the chute direction with every pass from side to side to keep it pointed away from the cleared area. I don't want to waste my steps by backing up for every single pass just to keep the chute pointed in the right direction. But stopping at the end of every pass just to change the chute, because I can't do it from the operating position, isn't much better.
Nice blower! But it really needs some snow shoes on the bottom. It would help it to slide better over ruff pavement and grassy areas that need cleaned off. Seen some videos with people struggling with it catching on things. Hope Toro is listening!
Brian W I agree, price is tricky to compare. The Toro isn’t cheap either. 650 with 1 battery. 800 for the Ego but you get 2 batteries. Single stage anyway with 7.5s. I’m not worried about the single stage performance just the 2 stage. Winter is around the corner 😀
Anybody that owns one of these, how much effort does it take to push? I really like the fact that you can clear the drive without being noisy and without smelling like exhaust fumes afterwards, but without being able to tip it and have the auger assist like on a normal single stage, I’m just curious as to how much effort it takes to push it through snow, heavy snow in particular... I’m guessing it is quite a bit lighter than a gas powered snowblower so maybe pretty easy?
Just got mine today at Lowe's... can't wait for it to snow...:)
Damn, nice machine. Toro's 60v platform is looking pretty impressive.
👍👌🤙

Hope EGO learns from them and comes out with something comparable being that I'm already vested in there platform.

Your wish has been granted. New single stage and a 2 stage :)
@@beezer5623 Yes, but the new Ego lineup is quite pricey. And, we still haven't seen any real world snow reviews on the new units.

@@brianw6645 revisit reply, have you checked out the ego 2 stage yet? It’s a beast!!

In each state you’re blowing snow To The Streets
WHY DIDN'T YOU SHOW THAT "MOTHER" OF ALL AUGERS SPINNING AT FULL SPEED.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR HANDS AWAY FROM IT ~~~ IT SPINS VERY FAST.
I did ...
