I was so excited to see this holiday candle recs video by you! Wasn’t expecting to hear my name! lol I’m getting the threshold and magnolia candles. Also I got the Big Sur diffuser you recommended months ago and shocker I can still smell it! I’ve had such bad luck with diffusers. I never bought candles until I started watching your channel but feel comfortable Blind buying your recs.
Haha I was happy to give you a shout-out, Anna! You were totally right about the lack of strength with the Vetiver and Cedarwood, and I had to express my complicated feelings about the candle, haha. I love that you're on the candle lover bandwagon now! And yes, Big Sur is a STAR fragrance. You should check out the Big Sur candle too! It's amaaaazing.

Definitely asked for this 😁 love that they're all target. I used to get a latte scented one from Walmart until they stopped making it. I haven't found many with great throw but I like a food smell- citrus or baked goods. Not the most elevated scent but cozy for me.
Some of the coziest scents are the simplest! I love a good sophisticated, high end fragrance, but I can also be perfectly content with a simple, inexpensive Target candle that just smells like a Christmas tree or something pretty like that!
I have a sensitive sense of smell and get headaches very easily, and i often have a difficult time finding scents that I like enough that i want to spend money on. As a result, I tend to make my own candles. That said, I agree with the comparison between Hearth and Hand and the Threshold candles. I like that Harth and Hand Candles aren't very strong, they're strong enough for me. I also very much like the jars and designs of both the Harth and Hand and Threshold candles. During the warmer months, Opalhouse Jungalow candles are really cute, but can sometimes be too sweet. Target really has something for everyone in the home fragrance department.

As much as I love candles, the strong scents tend to give me headaches after a long burn. But I am keen to buy some new small candles from Fiction Bath Co's winter collection (specifically Lethe House, Addie, and Anastasia). I wish they would make their Goblin King perfume as a candle because it is utterly divine
First of all, I love that there's a perfume called Goblin King. That's awesome, haha. Second, yeah it can be tough when you're sensitive to strong scents! That's one of the reasons why I made a point to recommend a couple Hearth and Hand candles - I find them to be more gentle. But that's me, someone who loves SUPER strong scents!
Love your candle/fragrance videos. I like the well-rounded reviews you give on the different brands. Have you managed to try the Threshold Red Mandarin and Guava candle? They have it Year round in diff sizes- it smells amazingly fresh and the throw pretty good on the bigger sizes. It might be not your style of scent, but I thought I’d mention it since it’s a repeat purchase of mine :)
I absolutely love this video. When I was younger I always burned candles. Unfortunately I developed and allergy to them. I now light faux candles for the ambiance and use essential oil diffuser blends to get the benefit of both. Are there any other suggestions that might work?

I was very excited to see that your fall and winter candle video was up, because I was one of the people requesting it, lol. Unfortunately, we don't have Target here in Canada (they came in, clearly without any kind of business plan, spent a bucketload of money buying old Zellers stores, renovated and opened some of them, and then closed down within maybe a year and a half!). Any recommendations for Bath & Body Works? Right now I buy most of my candles from IKEA. In addition to having a great price on plain tea lights (which I use weekly), they have all kinds of smaller scented tea lights and votive candles at really low prices. The tea lights don't throw a ton of scent but the ones that burn for 24 hours definitely do! I also have an older Warm Honey and Vanilla candle from Bath & Body Works that I love and, if you like beeswax, the Main Street Honey Shoppe (in Vancouver BC on, shocker, Main Street) sells all shapes and sizes of natural beeswax candles!
Ooooh all of that sounds lovely! I actually haven't bought a Bath and Body Works candle in years, so I don't really have any recommendations there... except there was one BBW candle I had in my kitchen in my studio apartment called Bergamot Waters. That one smelled amazing. Not sure if they have it anymore though!
Hi, I regularly buy a ton of candles from Target and TJ Maxx. I’m not sure if TJ Maxx/Marshall’s/Home Sense is in Vancouver, but they’re definitely in the Windsor, Ontario area. I always buy the DW Home brand and they have a TON of different scents for everyone. If you don’t have a Homesense near you, DW Home will ship to Canada from their website :) I buy all kinds of brand of candles, I simply love them like Moda Misfit!
Honestly Bath and Body Works has changed their formula for a lot of their candles and it’s disappointing. I’ve been shopping there since I was a kid with my mom over 20 years ago.
@@September777 there is Winners/Homesense here although I find their selection of everything is extremely variable. I feel like other people generally do better there than I do, lol, but I can check it out if I'm nearby. Going to Pacific Centre today for a couple of other things and there is a B&BW right there, so I may as well look there anyway. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@liisaking1247 Yes, I agree about the selection. It really depends on the days you go. I noticed going during the week is better because they are better stocked. But ask the store associates when they get their deliveries for candles and that should boost your chances. Plus different locations have a better selection of things I’ve noticed. I didn’t realize Bath and Body Works have physical locations there. That’s cool! Sniff all the candles lol-they discontinued most of the candles that I love so I don’t really go there much anymore on top of the formula change. If you have the Anthropologie store and possibly a Francesca’s store check them out for candles as well. Even your grocery stores! Sometimes they have really great sales for candles. Those Mrs. Meyer soy candles work pretty great too. The lavender one is awesome! Have fun shopping ☺️
