she could sing a phonebook i would listen, she was a beauty and talented, very much missed, queen of country music

She had mainstream appeal .. not just to country music fans. Huge star in her day.
I love the Eagles version, but her version is beautiful and has a special place for me. I remember listening to her version on my first trip to Seattle from New York. It was kind of perfect looking out at the USA scenery on a perfectly clear summer day and listening to this .

Hearing this for the first time, even though I was a country music DJ in the late '70s and early '80s. Wow. Very nice cover.
i worked as a country jock in the mid '80s and never played it. The song, surprisingly, never charted. Guess that's why it got very little airplay. Or, is it the other way around?
it was never a single release. Just an album filler.
I never heard a cover version like this before. It sounds great hearing done from the woman's perspective.

So many of her albums have yet to be re-released on streaming. Sony music...please have more of her music re-issued.
Should be a matter of time, hopefully! Her induction to the CMHoF is also long overdue.
The other one I'd love to hear is "Long, Long Time." NOBODY sings it like Lynn Anderson. Someone did upload a version to YT but right at the pinnacle of the song, where she blows it out of the water, the source of the existing upload skips. Fingers crossed! Maybe?? 🙂

she also belts out their song 'Desperado'. I very much prefer Lynn's rendition of Lyin' Eyes, to be honest
Why does she sing the short version instead of the full version?
I don't have a clue; maybe it had something to do with the LP's total runtime. 3 verses are missing compared to the Eagles' version
