I'm sure it was a hard but very wise decision for Smokie to go back to 1.O. But Chad, you've proven yourself to be a very wise and thoughtful man. Smokie doesn't have a job there by you. Smokey is such a sweetheart, it's hard to watch her today. She was happy at farm 1.0. Running, getting her treats (for her joints) and zoomies, chasing the 🐐 goats, playing with you and grandpa. I'm glad she's going back. Her good mental health is totally essential. As always you figure it out. Smokey is a great dog. Love her.❤💋🫂
I think Smokey will be happy 😊 with her best bud, Batman and his 2 brothers to romp and play with after the trauma she has been through after she moved to your acreage. She may have felt that her territory was where the goats, pigs etc Was close together ❤️ all for her to patrol. I think Grandpa was missing her too. She will be going back to familiar territory and Grandpa 👴 for those crazy brushing and wrestling 😜 with him!!!! God Bless you for thinking of Smokey and what is best for the guardian!! I hope she will be her old self after being back to "her home"!!
Shock collars aren’t the best if they didn’t have them from a pup. We tried shock collar on 1 of ours that was 3 yrs old and he wasn’t the same when he had it in. Once he realized it wasn’t on him anymore, he became a big baby again. He was 125lb Rottie so if taking the collar off didn’t help then he would have been put down. But he was like night and day. But that’s my experience and some others had the same issue.
Smokey should have stayed with GRAMPA in the first place. See was feeling a loss for Adler Farms. It was much cooler for her with all those trees and she missed her goat friends. Bless you Chad for taking her back to her home.✝️🙏🏻❤️👵🏻
You could see the stress in Smokie’s face. She used to be Queen in her fenced in space. She loved to see you & your dad & the boys & she had her job & routine. She was so happy doing her zoomed. As a long time rehab person for dogs that bite, etc., I have to take Smokes side on this, feeding her with the chickens is encouraging food aggression and she might accidently snap at the children at some point. I know you will hate me for saying this but Smoke has ALWAYS been such a good girl, was much happier when with Grandpa, the goats, etc.
I was at the park sitting in my car when the notification came on my phone that Smokey was gone and just dropped my head and didn't look at the video for at least 4 hours. So thankful it wasn't what it appeared to be. Bless you for your decision!
I'm so sorry you had to make this decision, but I think it's the right one for Smokey. Grandpa will love having her back too. Love all you Adler Farms folk.
So glad Smokey's going back to Grampa's. She's had a rough ride since leaving there and I believe you're right when you say she hasn't found her place at your farm Chad. It takes a strong kind soul to know when to admit what needs to be done for the greater good and then implement it. A hard but good decision.
Smokey is a huge light and star of the show. I trust your instincts w her. I think it's great and Grandpa will be on cloud nine, not to mention the goats. Much love, many prayers.

A wise decision! Things might have been different if you have been there full time; but she was clearly very bonded to grandpa and the goats and missing them too.
I'm so happy Smokey is going back to your dad's place! I just wanted to cry seeing her so upset with wanting to eat in peace! Those chicken are crazy..& driving her crazy! Smart move. Remember, there’s some trauma from Bandit. His aggression + dog fight + loss of Bandit + move. I know people say that dogs don’t remember, but I disagree. My mastiff was never the same after a dog attacked him; & he had to disarm the other dog (didn’t kill. Hurt real bad though). He did what seemed like a mourn &/or trauma response for months - not sure how else to describe it. Wise “Love” choice on your part. ❤️🚀
So happy your Dad is getting a guard dog. Having the chickens and turkey killed, and then having to trap and depose of the predators was hard. Love watching you grow into your position as farmer/rancher/builder. Couldn't be more happy with your decision about Smokey. Blessings to you and your family.
I'm so excited for Smokey! Your parent's place is her happy place. Her buds are the goats! Plus, it's much shadier and cooler. The timing is perfect with K&S moving to their property. Good move y'all!

So sorry that Smokey didn't work out on your new farm. I know you'll miss her, you made an awesome thing taking her back to Grandpa's. She will Be happier being with her old job back. God bless you and your family. Loads of love to you all.
Smokey is not aggressive, she is frustrated. She has boundaries but most of the other animals do not. She can't see the boundaries that she has, so she can't relax because she anticipates the warning beep from her collar. She needs a private place to eat where she knows she doesn't have to guard her food and can relax. I live with a Great Pyrenees and they want, no need, their surroundings to be consistent.
Re-watching this has made me miss her so much. But she needed to be back where she grew up. She was a really great dog…thanks for taking her back to her goats, grandpa and the chickens she knew…thank you, Chad…
Smokey is going to be super excited to see his old friends, the goats and of course Grandma & Grandpa!! That solves a lot for both you and Grandpa!! Yes, the donkeys really take care of the property!!
Poor baby those chickens would drive anyone crazy lol Smoky cannot have any peace she belongs back with grandpa and her goats this did not just work out for her I love that you love her so much and are so good to her and all of your animals Much Love
I know this was a tough decision, thank you for making the right call for Smokey's happiness and well being. Grandpa needs her to help with his critter problem and the goats will be so happy to have her back. Blessings Chad, Rae, and boys.
Growing pains. Change can be uncomfortable. Smokey is going to have to adjust again. Home changed also. Hard to go back to something that is no longer there. Glad Grandpa Adler is up for the challenge. Hope every one has a chance to settle in and wish all of you well.
Dear Chad & Rae, putting the needs of your beautiful Smokey ahead of your needs and / or wants, clearly examples what good people you are. And also, thank you for exampling these things to a multitude of others ...This could help greatly in what is "today's world." Grandpa likely will be quite pleased, and perhaps so will Smokey. Congratulations to all of you.
I am going to come to on you feeding eggs to the dog it could lead her to eating eggs when she finds one on the ground she will think it is ok for to eat them
Love your videos. I’m sure Smokey will relax when she is back with her goats and her familiar property. She will be happier and so will Grandpa and Grandma. No more trapping. You are so careful with and for your animals. I respect you for that.
I am so happy that Smokey gets to go back home! She was so happy with Grandpa and Grandma. I just hope she settles back in ok, with all of the changes that Grandpa has made.
Great video as always Chad!!! Believe that's best thing for smokey know ya'll love her want her there but I'm with you Believe she'll enjoy bein back at your parents. But you definitely don't need a guard dog when you have have 3 donkeys. Got ya'lls homestead lookin good. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun enjoy ya'lls homestead and family
Love Smokey , glad to know we'll see her with Grandpa and Grandma Adlers, poor baby with those dang pesky chickens. Rosie is so cute. Thank you for being present enough that you see what's up but more importantly that you love these babies. Don't know if you knew but you can plant potatoes in tires. I've never done it but know several people that have. Just a thought.
I know you love Smokey very much. And it shows by you sending her back to Ralph and LeeAnn..Not wanting her stressed anymore...Thats real love for that girl..God bless you and Rae...
You are doing what’s best for Smoky and you guys always do what’s best for all your animals and what’s best for your family. Thanks for sharing your life with us😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I think that move will be the best option for her happiness. Getting a new solo dog who grows up on your new farm might acclimate better. I commend you for making a decision that’s best for her even though it might make it harder on your new farm. Prayers all goes well and it all works out.
We raise and breed dogs. Sometimes a major transition. Especially when it's a drastic change when they not only lose one of their main caretaker and the animals they are used to all at once can be very stressful on them. Back at grandpa's would be great for her. Batman and the rest of them would be better for her probably.
You are doing the right thing for Smokey. She has been taken away from her "pack" ...her family. Your dad, you, and Adler are her family. Dogs NEED their family. Smokey is going to be very happy to be back at her home.
I have been wondering about that with Smokey. I thought you would eventually do what your doing, I could tell she was not content. You are a good friend to her, she loves you and your family.
Good Job Chad 👍👍 Smokie belongs on Grandpa Adler's Farm with Batman and the other critters. Little Hercules can't do a Man's job not yet. So proud of you Chad and Rae and Grandpa 😂😂 Bless y'all for putting the needs of the farm animals first 💞❤️💜💛💙💚
Thank you for putting Smokie's first. She is an excellant LGD! It is a good move; and I believe it is for the best. Thank you for carring enough to do what's right. Not easy, but necessary. The Donkey's should be good for your new setup. God Bless.
I just hope with my whole heart that little Hercules doesn't get hurt. If not by default but Smokey's food aggression won't go away by moving her back to Farm 1.0. She needs retraining. Just praying that everything go well .
Keeping Smokey happy and with her best buds is a very important and top priority. With the donkeys, you have a wonderful alarm system. You all are very aware what is truly the best for all the animals, it shows all of us how caring you are for those same beautiful animals. Any extra tires can be a great way of making some fun swings and even use the rubber for animal rubbing/play if strung up, country style flower beds, and even feeders for the animals. GOD BLESS on all your undertakings.
I had a feeling from your name of the video that Smokey was going home to your Dad's farm. I am sorry for your loss at Adler Farms 2.0, but she is going to a home where she will be as loved as she can be, and you can visit her whenever you need a Smokey fix. Your Dad's comment on his video yesterday had me wondering how long it would be until he got a guardian dog. I am very happy for all of you and I am so happy it's Smokey!God's continued blessings on all of you!
If you feed in some type of container less food will be waisted in the long run. Anatolians usually do not do well with shock collars, they easily learn their area and watch after their animals. She understands that almost all the other animals have free range but she doesn't have those privileges. It puts extra pressure on her.
Having had several Anatolian Shepherds, both purebred and crosses and cuttently have a Great Pyrenees. And knowing that the genetic tests usually come out with one of the breeds that decended from the Anatolian Shepherds, one of which is the Great Pyrenees. Smokey looks Anna acts more like an Anatolian Shepherd than anything else. I'm just thrilled that she is able to go back to a place where she was a lot happier.

Growing pains. Change can be uncomfortable. Smokey is going to have to adjust again. Home changed also. Hard to go back to something that is no longer there. Glad Grandpa Adler is up for the challenge. Hope every one has a chance to settle in and wish all of you well.
Your dad will be thrilled and he will spoil her rotten. Excited for everyone.
I’m just glad she’s not lost.. but in her heart she’s sad that a dog could be mean when she’s so loving..
“Hide from your farmer is not my favorite game” Chad, you always make me laugh!
They were just trying to play hide and seek. 😂🤣😂
I like the way Fred looked back at you like, "Are they suppose to be here?"
I know you love Smokey very much. And it shows by you sending her back to Ralph and LeeAnn..Not wanting her stressed anymore...Thats real love for that girl..God bless you and Rae...
She was so happy at at your dad's place
I am happy for smokey, she loves your dad and she was very happy there
I agree with you Smokie needs to be happy. And Grandpa's farm is the place to be. Amen praise the LORD. GOD bless you all.🙏
You are doing what’s best for Smoky and you guys always do what’s best for all your animals and what’s best for your family. Thanks for sharing your life with us😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Progress is defined as moving forward … Smokey helping Grandpa is progressing grandpa’s farm - exciting😊
I think that’s the best for Smoky. He will be happy with Grandpa and Grandma Adler back there. I was so happy when you said that’s were he was going.
I think that move will be the best option for her happiness. Getting a new solo dog who grows up on your new farm might acclimate better. I commend you for making a decision that’s best for her even though it might make it harder on your new farm. Prayers all goes well and it all works out.
Going back to Grandpa’s is the best!
Smokey likes and protects the animals! But she needs people too! Your dad will take good care of her too!
I’d love to see Smokey and Batman’s 1st interaction of her coming home🥰
I glade she go back to gradpa
We raise and breed dogs. Sometimes a major transition. Especially when it's a drastic change when they not only lose one of their main caretaker and the animals they are used to all at once can be very stressful on them. Back at grandpa's would be great for her. Batman and the rest of them would be better for her probably.
You are doing the right thing for Smokey. She has been taken away from her "pack" ...her family. Your dad, you, and Adler are her family. Dogs NEED their family. Smokey is going to be very happy to be back at her home.
You do what you have to do for her Plus you know she's loved
I'm sure that the incident with Bandit is bothering her because she thought of him as part of her responsibility.
If she was raised with a shock collar, but she was NOT!
Smokey is a Great Pyrenees but they don't do well with shock collars either. Pyrenees are famous for straying beyond their "yard".
Glad smoke is going back to your dads. You can tell she's not comfortable at the new farm I 'm sure she'll be happier back "home"
