The school year prior I was in the 4th grade and had been skipped ahead, my foster mom wasn't prepared at all and the following school year she had forgotten and sent me to my old school on the first day instead. Because I was a day late the VP decided to ask another 6th grader to escort me around for the day, the kids name was Jimmy M. and ironically Jimmy, like me, was also skipped ahead one grade. He showed me around and we discovered that we shared the last three classes of the day together, which was weird since the 6th graders were separated by the alphabet. The Beaumont Children:- On January 26th (Australia Day), 1966, siblings Jane (9yrs), Arnna (7yrs) and Grant (4yrs) Beaumont went missing from Glenelg Beach, Adelaide, in what appeared to be an abduction/murder. Their bodies have still not been found. On a lighter note, the disappearance of Harold Holt gave rise to a part of a phrase. The phrase that used to be "Doing the bolt" (meaning "to run away" or "disappear") was given the rhyming slang treatment with "Doing the Harold Holt"!
I do know someone who has vanished without a trace. His name is David Paul Jones and he went missing from a small market town in Wales. It was years ago now but every so often we all do wonder what happened to him
That, in my opinion, is what makes his disappearance a murder by close family member(s). A few of these disappearances seriously sound like murder to be truthful. Usually, the most simple and logical explanation is the correct explanation. Magical clouds, mist, and the like are not representative of objective reality, and therefore should be placed at the bottom of the list of potential causes.
The archeological concensus on the disappearance of the Anasazi is that a prolonged drought caused them to move. I've been to Mesa Verde national park several times and toured the ruins which are very impressive. One puzzling disappearance case happened in 1970s in Fort Worth, Texas, where I live. A 17 year old young lady named Rene Trelesa and two younger girls disappeared from the busy Seminary South shopping Mall shortly before Christmas. Her car was found in the parking lot, and there were no indications of anything unusual. A note was found, but it wasn't in her handwriting, and didn't make much sense anyway. Despite an extensive search over a long period of time, no trace's were ever found.
The second case you refer to is the 1972 disappearance of Mary Rachel Trlica, Lisa Renee Wilson, and Julie Ann Moseley AKA the Fort Worth Missing Trio.
So with Lars Mittank, he wasn’t at the doctor’s office when he ran off. He was actually in the airport when he unexpectedly dropped his bags and darted out into the woods (without his bags).
It must be difficult to choose only 25 in any category. I suppose a second list could be gathered with disappearances such as the USS Cyclops, Louis le Prince, Brian Schaeffer, and Roald Amundsun, and more.
Or better yet, unknown missing person cases that got little or no attention would be better. My cousin has been missing for 29 years. We know no more now than we did after the first month after she went missing 😢
My great grandfather disappeared. He married & had a family before abandoning them. He then moved to California where he married my great grandma even though he never divorced his 1st wife. When she got pregnant he abandoned her as well. No one knows what happened to him. Even the private investigator his mom hired never found him.
@IrishMike22 we only recently discovered who he was. He used a fake name when he married my great grandma. We used clues we had about him & finally confirmed it with dna. Never met any of his family.
That sounds a lot like my grandfather! He deserted his family in Eastern Canada, moved to New York, where he met my grandmother, moved to Washington state, where they had 2 kids, then the Western Canada where they had 3 more kids. But he actually died here. My uncle was at a dance, during world war II and was set up on a blind date, that turned out to be his half sister!! We're still in touch with the other branch of the family.
I'm surprised there's never any mention of Lisa Irwin on these Missing People lists. As of the time of my comment, she's still missing after almost 12 years. She disappeared on Oct 4th, 2011 when she was just 10 months old.
No real need to, to be honest. In fact, most mob hits do not fall into the "mysterious" or "unexplained" categories. Especially since several made guys have discussed his murder and dismemberment in fairly good detail. More than likely dumped in pieces in the ocean, or disposed of in a local garbage dump. After all, the mob in those times had the garbage pickup business locked down tight. Hoffa simply would not step down from his union job, which was given to him by the higher-ups in the mob. It created "heat" that went against cosa nostra rules. The result... his forced removal and permanant silencing.
14:44 There was other creepy stuff in the Sodder case. I know a ladder up against the house had been moved, and I want to say a stranger was seen lurking around the day before. Someone either claimed or was alleged to be one of the sons several years later
There's also other programs about the Alcatraz escape and probably books. Clint Eastwood did a fictional film based on the events, Escape From Alcatraz.
The 600,000 that go missing every year in the US is very misleading. One person could account for 100+ of those each year. They count every time a parent can’t find their kid etc.. Even if the kid shows up the next day.
One book where the story of Owen Parfitt can be found is called, Time Travel: A How-To User's Guide, written in 1999 by Commander X with Tim Swartz. The book tells that sometimes when people disappear and are never found again, it's because of spontaneous time travel. We can only *hope*, right? At least they're still alive somewhere/somewhen. In the case of Owen Parfitt, though, he's already dead for real.
Another interesting list. I’m in central Minnesota. There was a college student that went missing a few years ago. Josh Gimond, was his name. Don’t think the spelling is correct. There’s a conspiracy theory, of sorts, saying there is something about the highway 94 corridor and people around St. Cloud, going missing.
It’s not surprising that Holt went missing. Cheviot Beach is right at the Heads where Port Philip Bay opens in Bass Strait. It can get treacherous. It’s just not a good choice for swimming - for anyone. Once you exit the Heads, it’s a straight run to Tasmania and Bass Strait isn’t for the faint hearted. It was sad but sort of to be expected. He was an idiot for choosing to swim there.
I know none of the Sodder children were younger than 4. They would have all had memories of their parents and siblings. Once they became adults I doubt that out of the 5 not one single one would reach out to their remaining family.
#16, you said "nearly 30 years later" and math says nearly 40 (38) sorry to be picky person but it caught my attention. the not knowing is the worse part of any of these stories. there are times you don't want to know but when it comes to a missing person, even if they are dead, it would be better to know.
Hi, Mike. There's a classic Twilight Zone episode "The Last Flight" (S1, E18) that must have been inspired by the disappearance of Alejandro Bello Silva. In the story, a WWI British pilot engaging with the enemy flies into a glowing white cloud and emerges into contemporary (1960s) airspace to land at a modern military airfield. I always thought it was Rod Serling's creative imagination.😮
7:06 How could he have just not reemerged from the cloud? It had to have either crashed or gone through it. It’s the sky, it’s not like if you stall you’re just stuck in the cloud.
Why is that Chip 'n Dale shirt not getting the love and respect it deserves. I grew up on them, Gadget, Monterey Jack, Zipper, Fat Cat and all of his goons. Good show, don't make 'em like that anymore.
13:03 1) Why would he commit suicide by cave diving? If someone wants to commit suicide, they do it either the easiest or least painful way. Drowning is a horrific way to go. 2) Why would he ensure that his body was never found? If he was going to do all that, why not just go out to the middle of the ocean?
5 of 9 kids vanishing in a fire? That's a hard one to pull off. Go in,, set a fire then abduct 5 of the 9 kids without the parents knowing or neighbors seeing? All the theories' I'm sure people came up with, I'm gonna add one (if somebody else hasn't already suggested it). The 5 ran away and being kids, thought setting the fire would make the world think they were dead. An adult would have had to help them disappear (maybe being abused). Or, I hope tis one is wrong,, the parents killed them and buried their bodies, used the fire as a cover up.
Re the Sandringhams, it is theorised, not hypothesised, they were attacked and killed by the Turks, and there is both anecdotal and physical evidence to support.

You'd assume 10month old babies wouldn't get far
You'd assume 10month old babies wouldn't get far
You'd assume 10month old babies wouldn't get far
It's almost hard to believe that anyone who disappears after the year 2000 can never be found giving how much we rely on technology etc
Great shirt mike.😊
I live in Indiana the young lady that went missing in Bloomington had the whole state in a upset not being able to find her
Jacob Wetterling..that was close to where I grew up....did they ever find him?
Yes they did. Danny James Heinrich admitted to it and led them to his body in 2016.
Jodi Huisentruit????
I'm surprised that you didn't have Jimmy Hoffa on this list.

Shoot, I don't know what you are talking about. He tripped and fell. lol
14:44 There was other creepy stuff in the Sodder case. I know a ladder up against the house had been moved, and I want to say a stranger was seen lurking around the day before.
Someone either claimed or was alleged to be one of the sons several years later
I love your lists, but haven't seen one on a rather arcane subject: Have you ever considered a list on 25 cases of spontaneous human combustion?
The Mythbusters made an episode about the Alcatraz escape.
There's also other programs about the Alcatraz escape and probably books. Clint Eastwood did a fictional film based on the events, Escape From Alcatraz.
23:19 I’ve dated a few guys who seemingly just disappeared, lol
My favorite videos
WOW!!!!!!
😊❤Thanks Mike
Interesting
Could have mentioned Judge Carver,he got into a taxi and was never seen again.
I think you mean Judge Joseph Crater, from New York.
@@whatsamattayu3257 Yeah...just realized I spelled it wrong.
I was a bit upset to not see the remarkable Raoul Wallenberg featured on here. His story deserves to be told.
Yeah and what about Herby Handcock.
There will be more lists, there are plenty of weird and unexplained disappearances.
@@hawk66100What about him?
@@dustylong They never found him.
@@hawk66100 Do you mean the musician? Because he played here in Utrecht July 16th of this year.
Hugs I missed you 2 so much❤❤❤
Wait sorry bit i been gone awhile. When did you guys come back to list25?
Summer of 2016 a teacher from Middleton High in Tampa went on a hiking trip to the Grand Canyon and went missing
What about that journalist Sean Flynn and his friend in 1970?
Fawcett discovered interesting discoveries... apparently in the redundant forest of redundancy.
I chill w/ the Anasazi. They went to the other side of the Haunted Mesa ;)
The Anasazi are not missing. The Hopi and Pueblo are their direct descendants.
So very sad, I want to help find missing people
You forgot Sir Charles Kingsford Smith
I know none of the Sodder children were younger than 4. They would have all had memories of their parents and siblings. Once they became adults I doubt that out of the 5 not one single one would reach out to their remaining family.
We know what happened to the crew of the Marie celestial?
We also know what happened to amelia aerhert(?).
Strange Brown Cloud?
Any connection to Brown pants?
1:50 Did he not stay in contact with people during the voyage?
I watch the documentary of it
Hope your doing well!
That 600000 number isn't accurate; the vast majprity of those are found after a couple of days usually just leaving to take a break
I personally loved professor Nimnal
you missed Roanoke Island, Virginia Dare, entire village population disappeared the only thing left behind was word CROATOA
The Roanoke Colony should have been listed number.
Native Americans killed them.
In #21 you said 2 girls disappeared, and you told about the one girl.....
Bot what about the other girl?
My last check is missing last time I saw it was when it went into my account and I never saw it again.
17:09 How did they even know there was a grave there, let alone that of one of the missing men?
7:20 just redownload him
6:23 They had to have made stops along the way, didn’t they?
Plot spoiler: Mike Estrin pronounces "Melbourne" correctly (in reference to Australia) about 22:00 or so
5 of 9 kids vanishing in a fire? That's a hard one to pull off. Go in,, set a fire then abduct 5 of the 9 kids without the parents knowing or neighbors seeing? All the theories' I'm sure people came up with, I'm gonna add one (if somebody else hasn't already suggested it). The 5 ran away and being kids, thought setting the fire would make the world think they were dead. An adult would have had to help them disappear (maybe being abused). Or, I hope tis one is wrong,, the parents killed them and buried their bodies, used the fire as a cover up.
Because they couldn’t afford to take care of all 9?? That’s what my granddad said anyways. He was one of the 4.
If I remember correctly there are some odd things in that case.
❤❤
Dennis Melvyn Howe still needs to be found for his crime
Hey Mr. Mike, how have you been? I miss you
I've been doing well. How about yourself?
@@list25 that’s good. I’m glad to hear that. I’ve been doing alright 😊
Most people who disappear are just running away from home and their families.
My nanna's oldest brothers disappeared. The last time my nanna saw her brother was when my mum was a baby. He come to see my mum
I once had a guy I knew need to borrow $150 to cover a grocery store check written the night before. I have seen him in over 25 years!
How mysterious 😁

Re the Sandringhams, it is theorised, not hypothesised, they were attacked and killed by the Turks, and there is both anecdotal and physical evidence to support.
