so when lafayette goes to get more guns (and ships), he's really just going next door....
YES
+evilhopscotch now i wanna see the guy who plays lafayette just running down the street while the show's still going on XD
+evilhopscotch now i wanna see the guy who plays lafayette just running down the street while the show's still going on XD
or better yet, daveed diggs walking on stage during Les Mis looking VERY confused.
Yes
It's fascinating how, not only have there now been produced two musicals detailing revolutions that were happening at the same time in history, but that they now play next to each other on the same street. Human nature is amazing
+Joan Flanner It's not at the same time in history. If I'm not mistaken, les misérables starts at the beginning of the 19th century, and is not during the french revolution but during one of the many riots that took place under the new monarchies that came after Louis XVI's. Whereas the American Revolution was at the end of the 18th century.
+Cécile B While that is correct, Lafayette was present at the June Rebellion (which was the riot in Les Mis).
It doesn't really refute my point but yeah, he was still alive at the time :)
Cécile B Yeah, I know. So the musicals don't take place at the same time, but they do intersect.
ctn04132 In part. The French were already pretty pissed off though.
who else wants to see everything the same about Hamilton, except for just one performance they randomly replace Lafayette with Enjolras?
"everyone give it up for america's favorite fighting Frenchman!"
"ENJOLRAS"
Oui oui, mon ami. Je'mapelle Enjorlas ;) the Lancelot of that June Rebellion set
I came from next door just to say "bonsoir" tell Bonaparte "casse toi" who's the best: c'est moi!
Lafayette pulls an Enjolras vest out of nowhere and dons it proudly
surprise witch
I think you mean Louis
1:55 can we bring her in for say no to this? Teach Alexander how to say the _easiest two-letter word?_
😂😂 yesss
It's a reference to In the Heights . . . Lin Manuel's other musical . . .
Terra Grimme
Yes, I realize...the point still holds
Terra Grimme you're fun at parties
Terra Grimme Why are you doing this everywhere
MY NAME IS ENJOLRAS AND I'M HERE TO SAY I LOVE FRUITY PEBBLES IN A MAJOR WAY
new headcanon guys...
+first last have you made progress? Cuz I'd do the fan art if you want lol
Hedwig Art what's funny is that that Enjolras plays Hercules Mulligan in Hamilton Chicago
Andre Dutra omg NO WAYYY
His name is Wallace Smith if anyone wanted to know.
Ian C i knew his name! i didn't know he was mulligan though that's so cool! he's one of my favs :)
Ramin's 'what do you mean hip-hip?' omg
That sick banjo was honestly my favourite part
What do you mean hiphop? I laugh everytime.
Ramin was just my fav part. Because Ramin!
Bailey Bieganek saaaame
'What do you mean hip hop?' 😂😂😂 But seriously that banjo bring him home was amazing. :)
The only version that didn't make me cry lol
Damn it Ramin. You are just so darn awesome. Loved the banjo and your whatever kind of take on Bring him home was.
Brandon Roswell #ActualBroadgrass
Lol. Is that what it was? Well thanks for the clarification. Whatever it was it sounded amazing. :)
Who actually wants this and Hamilton to have a crossover? :)
+Anna Hanson Me! I tried writing the opening number, but failed :)
+Pippa Liber At least you tried.. :)
YASSSSSSS!!!
Yes!
Layafette ftw
"HOLD ON BRO IM NOT FINISHED IM NOT FINISHED"
me
"I LOVE FRUITY PEBBLES IN A MAJOR WAY (fruity pebbles!)"
me
Hamilton is what would've happened if Les Miz was written now
Les Miz was written during the dawn of Hip Hop. I don't think they had any intentions of making it Modern. It was intentional design to have a Opera feel.
@@anthonygordon9483 it was a joke, duh
1:53 - fucking hell. You don't often see a girl in a Les Mis outfit do an opera version of in the Height's Vannessa to audition for Hamilton. That was golden.
Kyle Jean-Baptiste 3:04 RIP Brother.
I wish we knew the Hamilton cast's reaction. I really hope they saw this :)
Am I the only one here who got the In the Heights reference?
Terra Grimme no no no no
XD Perfect response : D
hAha i was searching for this comment
I did.
nONONONONONONON
*coughs*
I mean, no.
"Wait, what do you mean Hip-Hop?"God this man is great
I find it amusing how the guy the plays Grantaire just goes wuhoho, and then just goes nah, I'ma drink instead.
fruity pebbles may be irrelevant
but you know I'm shipping Enjolras with Fruity Pebbles after this

"What do you mean hip hop?" -- Ramin, 2015
May you be at peace Kyle Jean Baptiste. So glad you got your chance to live your dream and make history. You are such a true talent and you will be greatly missed. "Let him rest, heaven blessed."
Just notice him right next to Wallace Smith.
And i think Ramin should do a banjo cover for Bring him home.
See it's funny because Enjolras is now in Hamilton Chicago.
Enjolras rapping about Fruity Pebbles and Jean Valjean with a banjo. I'm done. Thank you.
This is the first video where I've seen Kyle Jean-Baptiste. Look at the guy, he's like a huge ball of energy. So sad for his passing. May you rest in peace, Kyle!
Oh my god I soooo want to see a crossover of les mis, phantom, and Hamilton. Lafayette criticized the king for putting down the June Rebellion, and then we can fast forward 70 years to phantom and find out that Marius is Christine's grandfather!
Thatperformer387 YES YES YES
THIS IS SERIOUSLY THE GREATEST THING IVE EVER SEEN! Chris Mccarrell, RAMIN, and the opening. GAHH. I love you guys. And yes ramin auto corrects to all caps
Charlotte Sienkiewicz my autocorrect does that too.
2:46 Ramin on the banjo 😂😂😂
“Bring him ho-... what do you mean hip-hop?”
the last guys could 100% be Hercules and Lafayette tho omg
I agree!
Okay so when's the rap battle coming out
ttue
+PAY YOUR FUCKING TAXES *true also PANIC!
It's funny Hamilton is going against France's revolution, next door.
Les Misérables isn't set during the French Revolution, it's set during the June Rebellion. Hamilton takes place around the 1770s, Les Mis is in the 1830s
@@willwalker24601 The June Rebellion was just the start of the second revolution.
@@ledge633 Yes they had two revolutions. The February Revolution took place a decade after the June Rebellion. They've had a wave of Revolutions and the June Rebellion was just a start to another Revolution called the February Revolution.
Beans beans and nothing but beans! I'm in tears Jesus Christ.
Parsley peppers cabbages and celery!
The banjo gets me everytime!! " Wait what do you mean hip hop"
WHEN THAT ONE GIRL STARTED SINGING IN THE HEIGHTS THO
Every time I get John Laurens opening rap stuck in my head, and I forget the words, I say to myself "I'm John Laurens and I'm here to say I love Fruity Pebbles in a major way." I feel very validated by this video...
that girl constantly singing no is me
Do you get the reference, or . . . ?
say no to this?
or is it a les mis reference?
or in the heights
It's directly from In The Heights. Same words, same tune. Has nothing to do with Hamilton or Les Mis.
1:39 omf who are these two?? I love them ,, are they eponine and marius?
Suzy Dayz yeah
Two bffs bopping. But she loves him. Oh I cry
Ramin's banjo rendition of Bring Him Home had me laughing so hard!!! XD
The Gavroche's though!!
I've lost it already because Fantine and Cossete are effing rapping I can't
The Fruity Pebbles bit tho xD
Brennyn and Chris in this is just amazing and can we talk about how a year later Wallace is now Mulligan/Madison in Chicago
it's been 9 months and i will still never forget enjolras courfeyrac chillin with my squad, ramin karimloo's sexy rockin bod
Aaaaaand ramin snuck in broadgrass
Ramin: What do you mean hip-hop?
I love Earl Carpenter - “I’ve got nothing.” And of course Ramin - “What do you mean, Hip Hop?”
*sick banjo-ing* wait what do you mean hip hop
😂😂
The last part KILLED me!! That was hilarious!!😂
That was the most amazing thing I've ever watched
Ramin Karimloo at 2:46!!! love the rap after him too
This is perfection. I'm crying real tears.
Oh my gosh! Two of my favorite musicals. : takes a deep breath, laughs: the Fantine and Cosette one was amazing! Thank you for entertainment! 😊
watching Ericka and Samantha rapping is like watching mother and daughter time XD
I loved Ramin and Kyle's group! obviously the last was the best but I still love Ramin
"I love fruity pebble in a major way." I died.
1:50 Into the Woods!
that banjo would be a sin if it wasn't ramin karimloo playing it
oh my lord, Vanessa's "no" riff from In The Hights
i never thought i will need a footage of ramin karimloo singing and playing banjo to bring him home
I've loved Les Miserables for my whole life, and I've recently started loving Hamilton incredibly much too! this is awesome:)
Omg I'm crying from the fruity pebbles bit XD
I love how Wallace Smith is actually in Hamilton now lol
and he's next door now playing Mulligan/Madison
"what do you mean hip hop?" I lost it on that one.
okay but chris was actually good and now i want to watch his super bass cover again
"Beans, beans...nothing but beans...." *SAME*
I love how Hamilton and Les Mis are side by side.
This video is pure gold. Bravo! lol
Grantaire is always the best
Was not expecting a 2gether throwback! U + Me = Hamilton lottery winners one day (i think I'm funny sometimes)
Fantine and Cosette slayed life
I lost it when they started rapping to "At the End of the Day"
and that "WHAT" at the end omg
Fantastic! Love Ramin!!
Can we just take a moment to acknowledge 1:17
Lol Ramin tho. And that rap at the end. XD I love theatre people
i'd like a full version of fruity pebbles please
French National Guard: You have no chance, no chance at all, why throw your life away!
Fire the cannons
Layfayette: Dude I may need to borrow them later
OMG I NEEEEED more banjo remixes of Les Mis songs! So awesome!
2:02 not the kids absolutely serving 💅🏻
If I had to fake audition, I would literally just start spitting the first verse of Super Bass 😂 before I learned everything from Hamilton, that was the only song I knew I could rap 😂😂
AYYYEEE!! FRUITY PEBBLES!!!
I can see how a dash of Hamilton is sprinkled in Les Mis
Lafayette (in historical accounts) was present in the events of the February Revolution.
Madame Thenardier 😂😊
Okay but, Chris actually made a pretty decent attempt there, tbh. xD
This was GOLDD
1:55 me when act two hits
toomuchyoutube same
It's cool cuz I saw that guy who plays Enjorlas play Enjorlas in this production, and then saw him play Mulligan Friday night in Hamilton.
courfeyrac and enjolras rapping? hell yeah
You guys are awesome! Love Ramin!!!
Is this a Ramin I see before me?? (I just recently got into the world of POTO so realizing that the goofy guy on the banjo is also a murderer I fell a little more in love. Not actually. Just... in awe I guess.)
this is the internet I signed up for
"Yo yo bitches" killed me
That struggle trap beat was KILLING me omg
0:50 when Montparnasse raps. XD yay! Arbender robinson
Can we just get a whole Les Miz rap album 😂😂
Wallace Smith is actually next door now, he's Mulligan/Madison (in Chicago though)
I'm in love with the one lady singing "no" over and over again :> i get the 'in the heights' reference
I'm so upset that I was in New York a year ago seeing Les Mis and Hamilton is on that exact same street.... :(
So sad to see Kyle Jean-Baptiste, a month before he died. B'o(
What happened to him
+Linda Pham He was at his mother's apartment for a party. Standing on the balcony he fell to his death.
Kyle had the best bars out of all of them
The rap battle call out TTTT---TTTTT I love it
IS THAT RAMIN KARIMLOO MY FAV IVE WATCHED THIS SO MANY TIMES HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THAT BEFORE????????
