- It's the first Tuesday of the month, so that means it's time for more free Unreal Engine stuff! Each month Epic Games gives away a number of assets for Unreal Engine developers and January is no exception. This month we have 5 new assets that are yours to keep forever if "purchased" before the first Tuesday in February.

Interesting first time they repeat an asset. They already gave us that cave free last year.

Like their game freebies, it’s totally fine when they repeat… newcomers get something they’ve missed, the dev gets further promotion, and it’s all free! If it were a fee-based subscription service, then that’s ground for complaints :)
I’m glad they’re repeating some for those of us who weren’t collecting them from the beginning.
We already have a ton of environments, what we really need is NPCs , character creation kits, clothes, clothes creation kits, monsters monster creation tools etc..
So buy them? 😂

I could also swear I saw something extremely similar on Artstation couple of months ago.
That line of sight one is super useful because making that from scratch would be so time consuming lol

i could swear i've seen that 'ruined castle' pack somewhere. possibly in valkyrie elysium (though maybe the environment there just has a similar aestethic)
The fantasy town/cave/castle I think have all been free already tricky tricky lol
Please do a video on the ucupaint plugin for blender, it's the best substance painter alternative I've ever seen and its free and open source

Seems like Epic is dialing backing on the free assets. Seems like forever since they released anything to the "Permanently Free Collection".
They are replacing the marketplace with fab next years so we will see how the free stuff changes for that
tnx for the fix. Kinda strange they give away a bugged asset not taking the time to fix it.

Anyone think its possible to get the door foggy material/animation from the castle door 0:44 exported from unreal to blender ? I have a export setup but it doesn't seem to export these types.. any ideas? Thinking about it my unreal to blender export setup probably won't work on clouds either... any ideas (I use technique from this channel creator to export)

Is there any way to get gles 2/3 in godot 4?
Did you try using the Compatibility renderer instead of Forward+? AFAIK, it's the GLES 3 backend
@@The_Xeos gl compatibility is a different branch. Gles has same features as Vulkan forward +.
But is for open gl.
Gl compatibility limits those things
