This the best commentary video I've seen a while. You actually talk about what your doing and not how everyone else messing up. Disc priest actually makes sense to me now. Keep it up!
Coming back to wow and gonna try Disc. This out of 100 video's has been the best by far. The commentary was amazing. deffinately sub worthy!

Came back to WoW recently, haven't healed at raid level since wotlk / cataclysm days. Used to enjoy the ol' disc/holy combo when you could split trees. Disc looks awesome and fun :)

You played this very well. As another disc priest I was quite nervous going into this week and have been playing holy on lower keys. My problem was once I saw grevious stacking I would start spamming FH when I need to stay calm radiance and do my normal rotation. Thanks for the video
A lot has changed, I remember healing as a disc priest on heroic ICC back in WoTLK, it was fun and easy, just shield on as many as possible, penance on the tank and prayer of mending (? or was that holy back in the day ?) I also remember using renew on shielded people. It's been over 10 years since I played and today I got an offer from WoW to play the weekend for free.
But I don't want to spend time at a computer anymore.
I like that you don't try to bait us in with dumb titles pr anything. It's just solid, informative live commentaries. Other wow channels can learn a lot from you. I know this isn't the focus of your channel but it would be nice to have something similar to this for a raid boss. As a new healer raid healing is intimidating.
I plan to do many more raid commentaries this xpac. I just fell behind schedule this patch so it's a little late now
@@Moarcookiezlive I don't think it's too late. The important part is hearing the thought process behind healing, not necessarily seeing a walkthrough of the dungeon. Like this video just broadly applies to healing with this week's affixes. and would still be relevant after azure vault leaves the rotation.
Besides, I think you underestimate just how many people are still in early to mid mythic progression right now.

@@Moarcookiezlive I recently got back into WoW and rolled a Priest. I decided to stick to Holy after struggling with Disc but this video makes me want to try it out again.
Sins of the many is 40% and doesn’t fall off until 6 atonement’s, idk why but it isn’t reflected in the tooltip. But you were right having 5 out doesn’t reduce your damage
I was worried about this week as disc but I'm almost finding it easier than as holy. Being able to burst aoe the group up without using any 2-3 min CDs is really nice, and you still have SoL procs, pw life and defensive penance to single target.
Yea disc actually handles grievous quite well now. It's a nice change of pace from previous iterations
If you don't mind me asking... how does disc burst aoe heal group? I'm really not enjoying my hpal and wanted to switch over to disc. looking for all the info I can get! ty!

I could be wrong but I think you only used dome once, and it whiffed a bit hehe.
I’m loving disc this exp, so fun. Started as evoker and got my 20s to try it but ended up reverting to type. Priest for life.
Yea I'm very bad about using Barrier and Rapture in non push keys. Like keys where I feel pretty comfortable with just raw healing through things. It's something I certainly need to be using more because it still has huge benefits no matter the key level.

Is this the Squid Raid Build from wowhead? I'm using the m+ build from there but it does seem like it has more downtime/longer cooldowns
The m+ build on wowhead is up to date and closest to what I am using in this video. There's only a point or two of difference which shouldn't affect gameplay much
Hey, I just used your ElvUI profile. It's really great, thank you so much for that. But my Party bars look alot different and the buffs are shown in a different way. Can you help me?
Yep. Join the community discord in the description of the video.
- For the frames, download the SharedMedia addon which will allow you to use the "Flat" texture for unitframes
- For buffs, go to /elvui > unitframes > group units > party > aura indicator > configure auras > and change the colored icons option to "textured icons"
If you need any help just ping me in the community discord and if I'm not asleep I'll usually respond pretty quick
wtf? I crutch on radiance so hard. Crazy that people dont use it.
I mentioned it being my top heal over attonement and one guy said I'm not healing right, I was like I'm literally just using it on CD and it naturally makes its way to the top

why do disc priest use dps trinkets? Does the damage from these trinkets contribute to atonement healing?
They do not contribute to atonement. It's just to increase overall dps and help kill bosses faster mainly. Killing a boss faster means less total healing to do. It's completely optional and I wouldn't recommend it unless you are comfortable with healing checks in various dungeons

A lot of dps trinkets also have big secondary stat procs also etc. which increases your throughput.
