Today we're going over my favorite class setups in Battlefield 4! These are what I use in 2025 and matches my play style as well. The good thing about BF4 in 2025 is that this game is still just a massive sandbox FPS where you can make most guns and classes work if you adjust your playstyle, so these are the classes that fit me the best. I'm mainly a support player for 1 reason ammo is key and I also hardly see support players that drop ammo.. my go too weapon would be the LSAT with holosight, no accessory, heavy barrel, you don't need a bipod with this gun it's a lazerbeam at medium ranges..
For secondary I run G-18 (I don't have the DEAGLE) i use the suppressor, green laser sight and no sight i like the iron sights for most pistols but it's up to you.
I bring the ammo crate, and XM25 airburst, i use the R60 impact imo it's a great grenade but it's up to you, for the knife I use the bowie knife but it's up to you it does the same thing I just like long knives.

I'm mainly an assault player, usually no problem with ammo, even if nobody drops it. When I run out of ammo I just pick up someone elses loadout. Its also faster to pick up someone elses loadout than reloading.
I really think that ammo is actually not important. You die so often that the few times your run out of ammo you can just run secondary or pick up another kit. I run support and never use an ammo kit, why bother when I could have a much more powerful gadget like c4, ucav, mortar, etc... ?
*ASSAULT CLASS*
1) Primary Weapon: ACE 23 with Coyote [RDS] sight, Muzzle Brake, and Angled or Folding Grip.
2) Secondary Weapon: P226 with Ghost Ring, Laser Sight, and Flash Hider.
3) Gadget 1: Defibrillator.
4) Gadget 2: Medic Bag.
5) Grenade: RGO Impact.
6) Field Upgrade: Offensive.
*ENGINEER CLASS*
1) Primary Weapon: AK 5C with Holo 1x Scope, Tactical Light, and Angled or Folding Grip.
2) Secondary Weapon: P226 with Ghost Ring, Laser Sight, and Flash Hider.
3) Gadget 1: RPG-7V2 for anti-vehicle or RIM-92 Stinger for anti-air.
4) Gadget 2: M2 SLAM for aggressive play or Repair Tool for support.
5) Grenade: V40 Mini.
6) Field Upgrade: Anti-Tank for aggressive play or Mechanic for support.
*SUPPORT CLASS*
1) Primary Weapon: LSAT with 3.4x Scope, Laser Sight, Heavy Barrel, and Angled Grip.
2) Secondary Weapon: P226 with Ghost Ring, Laser Sight, and Flash Hider.
3) Gadget 1: Ammo Box.
4) Gadget 2: XM25 Airburst for anti-infantry or C4 Explosive for versatility.
5) Grenade: V40 Mini.
6) Field Upgrade: Indirect Fire or Perimeter Defense.
*RECON CLASS*
1) Primary Weapon: SRR-61 with Ballistic [40x] Scope for long-range or JGM-4 [4x] Scope for standard sniping, Range Finder, Suppressor or Flash Hider, and Bipod.
2) Secondary Weapon: P226 with Ghost Ring, Laser Sight, and Flash Hider.
3) Gadget 1: PLD (Portable Laser Designator).
4) Gadget 2: C4 Explosive.
5) Grenade: V40 Mini.
6) Field Upgrade: Sniper for aggressive play or Spec Ops for stealth.

For wanting an in-between for the RPK, you could just use the Magnifier accessory. You aren't using an accessory anyway, so just tap your accessory key as soon as you spawn and you get 2x zoom.

M249 is my main choice, but I never played much Assault or Recon so I’m trying to get to grips with those now

All these years and I missed out on so many weapons my loadouts took years to build cause I never had friends to play with . This is Gold BF4 Remaster??? Pleaseee!!! Let’s try to get this out!
A campaign remaster would be good for sure. Not sure if a MP remaster would split the base up as to lead to it's demise. But yeah, it's still a banger today. You might only find conquest to play on but it's still a ton of fun. thanks for stopping by!
I just got the game, me and friends are are getting thoroughly fucked by people who have more options unlocked. Who tf though medics should have to unlock the ability to res players is beyond me.
stick with it, you're gonna get clapped thoroughly for a while, not just because of unlocks but mostly skill. BF4 is very different than modern shooters. Concentrate on flanking as much as possible. 50/50 gun fights are just that. You wanna rack up some kills, always be where they're not looking and shoot em in the back.
Bruv, as long as I got the suppressed Deagle with ghost rings by my side, I'm good to go in any class.

For the m416 i use the thermal or night vision sight with the canted iron sights with a R2 suppressor and potato grip
I want to eventually get that in a battle pack. That’s a nice set up.
Smoke is insanely valuable for any Assault focused on medic tasks
Reckon with SRR and pld is really cool too
Srr bullet velocity is so high there's almost no bullet drop and you can find enemies easier with pld and mess around with enemy vehicles
The chances that my teammates will be shot AND clapped is humongus

I never used a laser, but ironically, at 2:58 at that same spot with the same conditions, I took my most proudfull death in this game, I was shooting at a laser through a smoke but there were no hit markers, turns out there was a guy with the shield and two guys behind him covering the door.
I'm thinking about coming back to it since apart of Post Scriptum, there is no pvp fps that grabs my attention or runs in my pc, I haven't played ever since 2019 when I quitted due the amount of people using thermal sights (specially in hardcore, which was my favorite mode)
As for my favorites: Assault - Scar H Engeneer - P90 Support- m249 or AWS Sniper- JNG-90 or CS/LR4
Secondary: CZ75 Carbine SG552 Shotgun- QBS or Saiga DMR - M39 or SKS
Though these were my favorites, I remember that I tried (not completed) to get max progress with every weapon in the 360, in the PC i just didn't cared and played with the weapons I liked the most
(sorry, can't remember the exact names they had ingame)
Downloaded BF4 due to the new Playtest announcement and sign up. Hopefully the new BF will return to greatness
@invisibleni hope so man! Enjoy bf4! It takes a while to get used to but it's totally worth it.
My favorite loadout is the 338-Recon Sniper and Compact 45. Been playing under 2 months so I haven't unlocked everything yet.
I really got to play recon more and fill that role. I'd try to unlock the Deagle once you get comfortable in general and in your groove. Thing is awesome for support to a long range primary gun

@OMGITZFUTUR3 thanks for stopping by! The good thing about BF4 is the limited meta. Pick out what works for you best and don't be afraid to try a ton of different guns and play styles. What I have listed here, you may not have as much fun with, but it's a good starting point!
Bf4 servers are still very much alive on console, Been playing on PS5 and Its been a blast!!!

I just don't get it. I'm looking at these youtubers, they casually walk over to 4 ppl, kill 2 of them, slowly reload while the enemy does absolutely nothing and kill the last 2. While in my games you have tanks jumping, doing 360 no scope headshots from across the map, ppl just instantly knowing where you are and 1 shotting you no matter what, etc.
@Hysterion man don't worry, I have the exact same thoughts! The stuff you see on my channel is picked out of a ton of gameplay. I might get one good clip a night but I make note of how I got that clip and share it so we all can get better but yeah I know exactly what you mean! Lol

I’m an engineer main for the sole reason of I hate getting dominated by vehicles. I run mainly carbines and pdws but my favs the mtar suppressed with any attachments you want. RPGV2 and Repair tool unless I’m on tank heavy maps then I’ll use mines or slams.
15:52 just use the magnifier (I use it in practically all my classes, with the exception of the PDW/shotgun for obvious reasons)
I just can't use any sidearm besides the tried and true p226.

6:20 is recoil even an issue in this game? I mean the mechanics work with a bloom effect & not patterns . Wouldn’t it be more effective on tightening the spread rather than recoil, visual or otherwise?
To be honest I guess it's really hard to track if something is side to side recoil or... if it's weapon bloom/spread. However, I've looked on symthic and the AEK has some decently high side to side recoil. Taking that at face value, adding the compensator does tamp down on that to some degree. It's been a minute since I went through the stats but I think the side to side recoil was a bigger issue with the AEK than the actual spread of the weapon so, I'll tend to try to focus on that more.
And recoil is an issue in the game and it's manageable but you the biggest thing you gotta watch out for is the First Shot Recoil Multiplier. Some of the weapons I talk about here have a decently high FSRM and you almost have to add something to correct that for them to be viable at range.

@@Hitchagood hmm I just wonder how effective managing the side to side recoils is when the penalty for managing it is increased spread.
Like u said the numbers is a chore to get through but off hand I can’t imagine it being that important simply for bloom being a very outdated system.
I’ll try your builds and see if I notice anything. So far I just maximise bloom reduction as that first shot seems to be the only one that hits where you aim
i never understood why people only go with a couple or even only one weapon. it gets boring for me. i have the weapons dogtags (500 kills) on ALL weapons in both bf4 and bf3.
That used to be me. Just wanted to find the "best gun" but there isn't a "best gun", just all depends on the situation. Thinking about trying to master all of them like you did

For snipers i always use 8 to 12 times scope and for everything else i use 1 to 2 times scope but do rotate in which guns i use

Sar 21 has a bug that allows 100% accuracy and IV been abusing it against lvl 140's 😂 and shitting on them
*CZ-3A1 has the best overall stats (DPS over all ranges, mag size, recoil, and reload speed)*

@shamanko im running about 400mgs a second and usually play on 33 ping servers.
That 1050ti is just a little outdated but probably should run just fine for bf4.
Id open up the task commander and monitor which of your pc components is maxing out when you lag. If nothing seems to be maxing out it could* be your internet.
@shamanko oh and I thought of this too. Try running bf4 in administrator mode. It'll tell your pc that bf4 takes precedence of all running programs .

Rookie 2k hrs veteran here. If you can't control the aek m16 or FAMAS. you aren't playing this game right.
Now make one for the real players in hardcore mode.
Oh that's easy. You can use almost anything because with "easy mode" you really don't have to stay accurate for more than 2 or 3 bullets lol

@txhamma I need to try that. Because I know what dice was going for: anyone in a tank should have something like a PDW in real life but it doesn't work from a gameplay standpoint. Most vehicle maps are wide and open where that SKS probably comes in handy. Thanks for the suggestions!
@@Hitchagood the sks with a 4x scope, heavy barrel and target detector and the angled grip is the build I use
@@txhammaThe SKS is good, but I prefer to use the M39 EBR because it is a bit more versatile (even more so because I use it instead of the PDW depending on the situation)
the RPG is better even for hitting critical hits on vehicles

I'm on pc, just make sure you're using the server browser and turn any filters off. Pc is very alive right now.
I still faithfully play this on xbox and id say honestly, find a few good servers in the server browser and just save them to your favorites . There are always going to be full conquest , rush, and tdm lobbies. Now, every other game mode uh lol good luck…. But there’s plenty fun there.
Always use a laser on CQB. It is so helpful for accuracy up close that you don't need to zoom in. It rarely actually gives you away, it really doesn't matter.
honestly the s tarter loadouts from the game barely help, so i dont think this is for starters.

One of my all time favorites. Always feels good but oddly, it's stats aren't that awesome, cause I like the gun! Either way. If you're good with it and it gets kills, use it!

Play the game, use whatever you want and have fun. Game is a casual shooter, it always was even in it's prime. There was never a need to run meta loadouts, but okay if you did it then, you were grinding it

The way BF4 was made, there's almost not a meta. Just specific guns that work best in specific situations. Of course the ACE 23 was the most versatile weapon in the game which made players dub it the "best gun" but it's not true... and considering this just surpassed my best video of all time I'm probably gonna keep making them lol

I’m an F2000 purist for assault. I find it has equal adaptability to CQB and long range with tap firing. Also the unique sight is fuckin’ sick.
If there's any assault rifle I'll lose to up close with the M416, its the F2000. I think the M416 is more versatile but F2000 will take the vast majority of firefights up close to any other assault weapon. If I get canned in 0.2 seconds it's usually the f2000 lol
