I would love to know how you cast on and off for this pattern; because I have learned most people don’t cast the same.
When I learned, I was taught to e-wrap, but of course it caused curling of the edges and since I mainly do blankets, it made a sloppy looking edge. I ultimately learned to do a binding with a garter stitch and it makes such a nice finished piece.
I have been looking for different stitches to use for my blankets and this one looks promising, but knowing how you cast on and off is key. Thanks!

I ran across this video looking for a video on Kera Weiserbs' book "Purls and Other Gems" where she has a Beehive stitch on a double loom that is supposed to be different than the honeycomb stitch. I prefer watching a video so I have a better understanding of the wrapping sequence. I love double knit looming and the resulting thick and squishy fabric it makes. Actually, this video on a single loom looks pretty thick and squishy. Lol Thank you for sharing it. If you've ever heard of the double-knit beehive stitch, I would appreciate a video on that! I've searched and found nothing in video format. In the meantime, I'm going to try this one you've shown here. 😜😁

You should do a video of how to crochet a large size or medium size or both:) pumpkins I think that be really cool for a lot of us to learn and you do your videos so well:)
What could this beautiful stitch be used for - scarves?
I love this pattern, but I'm limited to using patterns that are complete. I really wish you had the sides included in this pattern. I tried a few ways and couldn't get one to look right.
Can I do the e wrap version of the knit stitch instead of the I wrap version
So 3rd row were doing 2 purls at the start and end...I'm wondering why..if we did 1 purl like first row what would the difference be? Would it change the stitch? The way it looks?

Would I end with the purl 2 if I was knitting in the round?
I think the important thing is that you alternate K1B and purls so that if you purled a peg on Row 1, you slip it to knit one below in Row 3, and both rows 2 and 4 are knit. I’m knitting this in the round to make a little backpack. 😊
