Unclogging A Big Culvert Blockage On A Very Rainy Day

- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

I love the way you include all of us with you in your work by saying 'we just opened' and 'the last time we were here'. Thanks for taking us on the journey with you, I truly enjoy the finish jobs.
You're the first person I've seen mention the Royal "we", or "us". It makes me smile because I think YOU ... I'm not doing ANYTHING except watching lol. The other thing that always makes me smile is when Post mentions his 'big' high boots. I wonder if one day we'll ever get to see his 'small' high boots lol?
Maybe one day someone will make a 1 piece metal rake, no rivets or screws..and call it POST10 😂❤
the rivets or screws are not the problem, cheap (bad) quality is. A good rake might cost $80 , a home depot one $18 . The expensive one lasts 30 years, the other 3 years
Them beavers are ecstatic, I heard the one who took your rake,he said he's making it into a trophy!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
After a long day, it's super relaxing to watch the water start flowing. Sorry about the rake. Always entertaining to watch. Thanks, post10!
And a long video to boot. Some of us enjoy the more in depth ones.
Jeez, what's with the crappy rakes these days. You need a quality rake manufacturer to sponsor you with a quality rake. 👍
He’s better off using a current rake and customizing it to reinforce it stronger.
Needa rake sponsor fr
It’s a potato rake which are stronger !!!
Oh maybe use a smaller version of metal rakes used for hay in farms, those rakes last forever. Smaller pipes require small rakes that can be reinforced.
A backyard cultivator is needed
Since i've been following this is RAKE #3 that has been broken & retired. Good luck to the new Rake, may you have many great adventures with Post 10 ! 🎵memories...🎵
The sky at your first stop was so beautiful! Thank you for removing plastic and other trash from the water. Sorry your rake broke.
Rest in pieces faithful and trusty rake 😓
Beavers 1, rake 0. Another one bites the dust, er, bog... Cheers posty
Your videos are NEVER too long. In fact, they go fast for me.
Catching up with you’re videos.
I watched the cabinet you put into the camp fire.
Then Bird house you built.
Camping on you’re property
But I still like the beaver dam unclogging.
PS,
I won’t tell you what product to purchase to do what you do. You’re smart enough to know.
Keep it up !!!!

I loved the whole jumping spider interlude! They are the one family of spiders that (mostly) don't freak me out.
it helps that they're adorable fuzzy spooders 😂
A Cockatiel I'd been bird-sitting (and had just moved to a curtain rod) had eaten one of those curious spiders when it jumped on the windowsill.
A split-second snack. Tiny spiders are cute.
indeed. I wonder if even if they'd bite it would get through human skin....
The suspense! I thought i was going to have to search for part 2.
Thanks for your awesome and strangely therapeutic videos! Again, the beautiful areas you always go out to really make your videos great to watch!
I get high and watch these and nothing makes me feel like I’m less helpful / less of a good person - I love it :)
"Wooo, stinky gas bubbles."
That is such a Post10 thing to say.
Never change.
I’m sorry you lost the rake. ❤️ And yes, it was an interesting (and good) video. They always are. 🙂
That is a great idea you had to start every video with the date. Thank you.
As always, another very satisfying and entertaining video.
Hey, Post. Is there a possibility that you can build your own rake? Stronger and more durable than anyone else can make. You know that you have the skills.
Awesome video, Post 10!
Keep up the great work/channel.
Many, many of us really appreciate all the entertainment you bring us.
Thank you.
If you know someone who can weld, get a pitchfork and cut the tips off half way and weld at angle and attach to a metal pole
Blow torch the Prongs untill Glowing Red/White and then.....
Bend in Vice and Quench.
Swap Handle with original Rake for lenth difference.
Could even have Spares (Multi Forks...1 with 5prongs rest have 4,3 or 2prongs)
No Tool works better than Homemade for Special purposes 🤟
Been watching for years and love the content!
Oh my goodness! I can see the flies swarming around you. That’s so uncomfortable. Tell the little frog to go round up his posse of frogs and take care of the fly population!
You are by far the very best Beaver Dam remover on the Tube....very thorough job each and every time...thanks so much for all your posts 😊
Woo rating at the start was solid, good length, not as high as other times. I'd say 7.8 out of 10
RIP to the rake 😝
Fingers crossed the new rake does well!
Thanks, Post 10! I love watching you alter the world around you!
Thanks Post! 👊👍Appreciate you my friend 🙏 Any blacksmiths out there to fashion a custom Post rake that will hold up ? 🤞😁
I think the problem would be, if, such a rake was ever to be built strong enough for the work Post 10 does, the rake would be super heavy and very unweildable for any one to manage,
@@jamesalinio5277 Agreed! 👍
Post's #1 enemy: Beavers
Post's #2 enemy: Idiots with excavators
Love your content man!
Your videos are so satisfying
Thank you
I love this time of year when the unclogging of the culverts begins! It’s been hot, hot, hot in Toronto. It’s October 21st and I’m finally watching this. So sorry about your trusty rake! 🥵🇨🇦🥵
You were really pushing that thing! Wow
Post 10 always providing quality content !
Man! You're popular with the ppl AND the bugs! Lucky you!😂
As soon as post 10 drives up to a flooded road, I feel like a kid on Christmas.
Thank you for the walking tour today. Always enjoyed! See you on the next. 🙂👍🇺🇸
Keep at it, Post. We'll be here!
That rake lasted pretty long... but man, they just don't seem to make them to be able to handle "Post10" level of work. Hopefully, you can find a better one. Be safe out there.
He will forge a new weapon mightier than before🦾🦿🕷
I tried to google for a better quality one, it's not easy to find, a rake with a medium long shaft and few teeth. most have way more teeth, or very short handles.
Nice job. Thanks. Chris from England
Too bad the rake snapped. Rip rake. Okay, so the beaver dam won one, big deal, it will get removed by the excavator. Think maybe getting 2 so you have a back up rake? Cheers Postie. Take care.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
All of the swamp gas and stinky smells are probably what is drawing all of the flies.
Why don't you buy more than one rake? If one breaks then you don't have to leave to get another one. Just keep filming using the spare rake.
I like the fact that you have a dashcam. It makes me feel like I'm riding with you and it's fun. Thanks for bringing me along.
Good to be with you again.
The tenacity of “getting the job done” is what I love to see. We”ll be back!
Post, a great and wet video. You didn't have to take a shower after that one. I hope you had a dry shirt handy or just ditched your wet one. Nice gold index finger ring. Sorry your rake broke! Too bad you couldn't weld it back together.
Thanks post 10 for doing what you do hi from CA where we have city beavers
Another great video post, thank you. ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
Great video, my friend. Thank you for your hard work!!
Who would have thought watching a guy unclog culverts would be so fascinating ? But i can honestly say dor some reason it is. Its also relaxing and Post 10's knowledge and the way he presents things keeps you interested. Ive also f I und it has ne looking at sewer drains to make sure they are working.
Thanks for sharing with us.
Thankyou for taking us with you, super interesting content again. 👍
something tells me the frog did the dam lol love the video post 10 keep up the awesome work . have fun and be safe.
Another great video. Thanks!
Post, I grew up on a high bank over a river delta. Beach combing was every day for us kids...Beaver chews often floated down settling on the beach. Now at 74 after years of walking along waterways picking up this and that; I have a 10" beaver chew, chewed to a point on both ends. It had been a 4"-5" tree. Beaver in training? Obsessive beaver? Who knows but it sits on a shelf in my living room now. It's a beauty. Show and tell...I've used it to display jewelry and people have offered to buy it over the years. Keep doing what you're doing; many people ride along on your adventures!
Love your videos Post. 😀
Great video, as always. Small tip about Camera #2: Keep a roll of Scotch tape in the truck, and have a piece of plastic large enough to cover the screen of the phone from some packaging material. Then, secure the plastic around the back of the phone with a strip of tape. That way, you can flip the plastic away quickly to work the screen, and rain will not be able to interfere. Cardboard will work, too.
wow, you never fail to entertain. Nice work Post. Sorry about your rake!
Gosh, Post 10, I really love your videos, your hand showing us all this. I am just smiling from ear to ear! And you can make your videos as long as you want. Doesn’t matter, think we look at it anyway.
Eyyy another post 10 video! Hope you're doing well Postie!
Hello my friend .... I hope your day is going well .... And you still give the overwhelming adventure ... Have a nice day...
Finaly, the beavers won a battle, but not the war^^
thanks Post
I am shocked that you don't have a backup rake. Post10 is Mr. Preparedness! You do an outstanding job. The first culvert was 100%. The second was a 35-40% success. I don't see it as a complete failure. But the loss of the rake was a bummer!l
Yippee 👏 😊 thank you
Another great video
🌱🌏💚 KiaOra! Hello from New Zealand Post 10 & community. 😊
I watch you frequently i don’t remember the last time you included gloves not that you need them but it crossed my mind lol
Those darn beavers build back better every time. But that’s OK. Their work is our gain as we get to see you unclog all the culverts that they clog up. Keep up the good work.
Great video Post 👍
Technically you could use your rake purchase as a work expense for tax season.
A lot of people have a fear of spiders but I actually love them. I'm very sorry about your rake.
It was a hot summer here in South East Washington for sure. Glad it's over and cool 😎
I missed the unclogging videos ❤❤❤
It's a golden oldie
You should make your own rake, like a 4 foot iron pry bar, forge out the end into prongs.
Always like your posts ...10....lol 😊
Hello, I watch another beaver dam remover on RUclips called Kenislovich. He is from Lithuania I believe. He uses a potato harvesting rake. It has wider, longer tines. It also has a horizontal handle half way down that allows one to pull with two arms if they wish. They are probably inexpensive in Lithuania, lol. A quick Google search didn't find a look-alike. I enjoy your unplugging videos, keep them coming.
Holy moly, the bugs! They look like static.
Very good job 👍
We went from 105 to 75 in a matter of days in Oklahoma. Crazy talk! Glad summer is done. It was a warm one.
Winter is right around the corner. Time to get em all clear . 👍👍👍👍
Oh my goodness....those beavers are working overtime!!
Maybe get two rakes, use one for a backup. It did look like you did do something. Get yourself dry. I hate driving in the rain but, watching your video it’s kind of relaxing.
Interesting the rake did not make it otherwise a great video as usual.
Cool thx ❤
Post, how is it we never hear of any awards you must have received over the years for your environmental work you have done.
"Hey Everyone" - post 10
"Hi Post 10!" - all of us
Like the way you have added camera 2 to the view much better than the small box can you do it like this more often please, hope you and your family are happy n healthy, sending love n joy
RIP Sir Rake.
You were, as they say, a rake. You were wielded by hands. You did rakish things in those hands. You now join the other rakes who have come before.
Nice👍
Post, will you be camping on lakes again this year? I love them videos. Stay safe
Oh thank the Jedi. Somebody inthe world actually doing something passive and normal !
What a shame 🙁 about your rake, Post 📫 10. This is the 1st video I saw you break a rake.
Yes was hot here in Louisiana
I leave jumpers in my car constantly. I have a hedgerow on one side of my driveway and they are always in my car or on itt. We love the lil guys
Congrats on ur success, 💪your hard work , dedication and determination is an inspiring thing to watch. Please don't let the blockage/clog win, first time I see a video where u let the clog win 👀😳
Can’t beat swamp bubbles and i love it when it sprinkles….
Hope your doing good brother!!!!!!
I like the hood shots because it lets me know if it’s a new video or an old one
i love the irony of you starting the video with saying it is not raining.
winter project: rebar cork screw
Try garage sales for an old time rake
