You really nailed the eerie and unnerving tone! All the little details like Sam removing his mask for him to eat and Dream's hand scars are so cool to notice! And that ENDING! Dream looks absolutely terrifying! Fantastic animatic!

@@ktmal1681 its a mix from quackitys torture and from him having to punch away that the obsidian when he tried to escape with Technoblade the first time .

I love how Dream removes his gloves to show off his torture scars. Really puts into perspective *why* he killed Sam; vengeance, and to assert power.

one thing I love about this is how Sam's tone is just tired and almost not even scared. he doesn't want to die but, he doesn't get much from living either. his one purpose was to keep the evil in the prison, but he became the evil himself. with no reason to live, he doesn't fear death as much, he has nothing to lose, he holds on to the single string of belief, that he's doing the right thing. not the good thing, but the right thing, and he's not going to let go of that image
I don't think an animatic has ever made me nervous when I know what happens until now. Jeez that was chilling.

bro- the details on dream's hands without the gloves, the little jump he made, AND THE WAY YOU PORTRAYED THE VIBE SO PERFECTLY, and the ending genuinely scared me, was not expecting it at all🗿

These sound effects-the doors, Sam standing up, biting the apple, footsteps-very subtly but effectively integrated.
Obviously the art and editing is amazing, but the sounds really add to it.

I noticed a few of them sounded handmade (not meaning bad-just softer, less contrast), which helped them blend naturally.
And that’s awesome-I know finding specific sounds can be difficult. Way to go the extra mile and adapt!
Dream is so F-ing terrifying in this animation.
I will say this- When Dream takes off his mask, I got chills and at the same time was giddy because that is how I like to think of Dream in the DSMP. I also really liked the shading and how the mood change flowed so well! Overall, I say that this animatic, in my mindset, is one of the best I've seen! (SUBSCRIBE TO NisNoSleep!!!!!) [I'm doin' it!]

4:12 Okay, Dream just caressing Sam's face, even through the mask, like he's racing where he'll put the scar is so chilling and such a gut-wrenching move because we know how brutal he can be. This one moment of false tenderness before he kills Sam is just amazing and gives me goosebumps! Good job!!!!

4:38 - Ah yes, creepy dream without the mask, traumatize the man you're about the kill with your scary ass face so it's engraved in their mind.
But really, I like the design of Dream without the mask, very unnerving, I like it.
Man, Dream is so creepy. I felt like the whole time he was still deciding, until the end. Exquisite job, I love how you animate. Beautiful environment, I loved the little Dream hop over the carved stone counter. Good lighting, subtle music. I really like how you animate Sam. The movement and facial expressions, the tattered cloak.... This is good. This is really good.

I have been waiting for this scene to be made into an animatic and you did not disappoint. So creepy with the colors and I love the capes and designs of both of them. Really nailed the body language of Dream. Excellent work all around. I was smiling from beginning to end.

The thing that unnerves me the most is how Sam has gone throught so much mental damage to the point where he didn't care or wasn't able to react to Dream killing him, the one thing he swore to secure for others safety, in the one place he designed for that person, everything and everyone went against him
this is so amazing, i mean ... look at all the little details, the colours, the shading, the mood in general, everything is so on point like Sams ears moving with his changing feelings and the precise face expressions ... a masterpiece! love it!!

Oh my goodness this is incredible all of the details. The scars on dreams hands look so cool. I really liked the part where dream strokes sams face where quackity scare is and where sams will soon be, its just perfection absolute perfection I'm in love definitely liking and subscribing.

I really love the personality in this… despite the fact that Dream’s face is completely blank and hidden by his mask, you can still feel his sort of sadistic charisma by the way he walks and moves his hands/head… this is part of the reasons why I love watching animations for the lore and you really did an exceptional job
Thank you very much , I do my best to not show dreams face or my interpretation of it cause I feel a lot of the mystery and creep factor he can have is in just not knowing . So hearing that I was able to give more expression from hand gestures and body movements really means alot to me thank you .

The “after I fu-ing kill you” line in this animatic is so good! Also, dreams face is kinda scary😬😬
The added music really added to the mood of the scene and I liked the compositions. (Favorite ones were at 2:08, 2:48, and 4:22.) The scars on Dream's hands were a cool detail as Dream glitching when he sweawrs, but I really loved the glowing smoke from Sam's mask at 2:45. The lighting in this in general is wonderful, really kicking off near the ending post 3:59. I liked how you hinted at a face underneath by outlining Dream's chin, but man, the underneath is terrifying. Great job on the animatic!

Ohhhhh that was great, the atmosphere, the way everything shifted and ohohoho we all know what was going to happen but the suspense and that slow build, oh your Dream design is just *chef’s kiss* and the glows from the portals and Sam’s exhale of breath and ohhhhh this was absolutely delightful to watch
3:20 3:50 4:34 UHM- WOAHH??? This is so chilling! You portrayed how scary Dream is so well, even when he’s talking to someone like Sam, who is almost as dangerous. This entire thing was just- PERFECT.
Yo sooooo underrated!! The style is clean and the animation is smooth. The background music and noises go so well with whatever is happening in the animation and the last part is actually a bit unnerving! This was just amazing!

I want to know more about this what happened after Sam got out.. that is what I am interested in.. like I need more with this. except for Sams acting when Dream kills him (in character) so were that stream really good, it really showed how Amazing of an Villain Dream can be, and how powerful his character is, and why people should fear his character.

The art in this was spectacular! I especially loved the evil face reveal at the end with Dream and when Dream took off his gloves there was scarring on his hands. Beautifully done!

Alright, everyone’s saying how cool the scars are, but is everyone taking about the detail in them, or the fact that they were from broken green strings?
Anyways, amazing work and the detail with him switching weapons tying it back to a game is just great!
The tone of voice he said "I will let you go" paired with the face after he took off the mask was chilling.
I honestly think this is you best animation so far, and thats considering how I loved the last one so much...
I could list all the great things about this animation but the list would get too long to read.

Yo this is cool! Sam’s mask kinda reminds me of Darth Vader’s and that one scene where Anakin gets the mask in Star Wars and it’s amazinggg

This animation style is top notch, and the lighting and mood are very well done. Whether you agree or disagree on the character design and interpretation, you would be hard-pressed to find a dsmp animatic of this quality. Great job to the animator, this was very well done.

Animatic dream is always so scary and creepy. Really hope there will be some wholesome dream lore animatics someday.
