Another wonderful work from Kanade! Your wonderful stories captivates by us by weaving together a wonderful Hero and Heroine into a compelling plot. It evokes emotions and challenges that causes the Hero and Heroine to grow.
I really love this story where we become the handsome knight being interviewed by the Princess. You did a wonderful job portraying a princess who is very smart, but very skeptical. She comes from a family where her own family members are not trustworthy people. Not to mention she has seen so many times where people put on a friendly mask, only to not care much about you in the end and will backstab you. It's perfectly understandable why she has a negative outlook of life, and acts kind of mean, and does not trust people.
Your acting is really good showing how burned-out she is by interviewing countless knights, and yet all of them are not trustworthy and really want to use her as a stepping stone to get a higher status in the kingdom. Not to mention most are sent by her brother, whom she is competing against for the throne.
She knows those sent by her brother will only cause a conflict of interest where they end up supporting her brother rather than her. She knows they might say they will serve the kingdom and support her, but their intention and priorities lie elsewhere and will not care much about her unless she supports her brother.
Her fated encounter with this handsome knight really changed her views and took her by surprise. I really like this Protagonist you created, he is someone that does not look nor care about the position or status of anybody, and in this case, does not see her a princess, but rather sees her as a person he will cherish and protect.
And he is very intelligent and knows that talk is cheap, knows that he has to build trust first, in order for her to open up and to trust him. Unlike those other knights that were interviewed, he possesses excellent levels of character and morals. I have no doubt this incredible man being so attentive and caring will break down her walls and make her feel loved and valued.
It was such a wonderful moment where it was revealed that this this handsome knight, whom she thought was a stranger, was actually the boy whom she was very good friends in the past. Your acting was very great at 9:25 when her distrust in him was broken down, and there was warmth and gentleness in her voice realizing this man was the boy she was friends with. I really like how she apologizes for being suspicious of him and expecting the worst.
I'm always so mesmerized with your storytelling and characters. I got so invested in this story, and would be awesome to see more.
