- Sometimes a sequel is not needed. Other time the sequel just doesn't live up to its predecessor. It doesn't make the game bad, but if you have to choose you can skip the sequel and stick with the earlier title. Let's take a game room tour of 13 games that aren't worth playing compared to the original.
Intro music
"Your Mine" - Carpenter Brut (Furi Original soundtrack)

Funny enough, I do think Red Dead Redemption 2 is a story that has more impact if you have played the original first. RDR1 left so much unsaid about the cast's histories and relationships with each other, and while there is some narrative value in leaving that ambiguous, I think they did a great job thoroughly exploring that past while giving another protagonist a strong arc and perfectly weaving that story into the original game. As a long time fan of RDR1 since the beginning, I'd strongly recommend at least trying it -- but wouldn't blame someone for dropping it if they weren't enjoying the slower pace and the new cast. I'd say you can tell if the game is going to be your thing within the first few hours.
You seem chill hope you grow
interesting.. RDR2 is one of my fave games and i played the first one first. I have not played og RE3 or 6 but those are on my list. I own Tears oftheKingdomand STILLLL have not played it!
I’m telling you I really dislike the slow pace of rdr2. It got to where I would ignore things like cleaning my gun and the like. All the required traveling back to your camp was just not as satisfying as that feeling of being a lone cowboy out for revenge like in the first one for me. And there were no stakes. Nothing of note happens. But it’s still a great game as I always say. How have you not played tears! Oh man it’s very cool I just wish the building wasn’t so critical to it.
Agreed on Luigi’s mansion for sure, the first game was the best. Really wish they were making an hd version of 1 instead of 2
Resident Evil 6iraffe is one weird game that tried to do everything but not necessarily well.
Resident Evil 3? Sir? Sir!?
Happy new year brosef, let’s go 2k followers!!!
Haven't watched yet, but I'm predicting that "Chrono Trigger" is gonna feature in this one.
Ooo good call. I should put radical dreamers in part 2 lol
@@LukesGamerRoom Hahaha, indeed you should!
Finally, someone who agrees with me about Ragnarök!
This was a great video. Except for RDR2. Bad take on that one. You seriously, in all honesty, don't know why people find it great? If you can't see RDR2's merits are you sure you should be reviewing games? RDR2, even today, is unrivaled in detail and worldbuilding. To call it "not worth playing" is blasphemy...something you only say for shock value and clicks. My goodness, the game is absolutely fantastic to explore...even if you are not a fan of its slow game systems.
Yup I’m guilty af of using the shock value. But I’ve been a ghost on RUclips since 2009 and you get to the point of where you cont beat them join them. Plus you agree on my other takes so I don’t think one disagreement would invalidate my entire opinion. I also note that the game is good but in my opinion it is nowhere near as good as the original. I reckon a lot of people who love its exploration hadn’t experienced similar games in the past. Red dead 1, Skyrim, botw, GTA 3-6, hell even something like Wow already scratched that itch for me for the last 15 years by the time rd2 came out. So yes I think the status it gets is vastly overblown and is severely influenced by recency bias and those who came of age around that time. Which is fine. And I absolutely see its merits my friend and I don’t blame anyone for thinking it is great. For me though I prefer the first game. Hence why it’s on this video my friend. But I love your passion and welcome you challenge and dissent always.
@@LukesGamerRoom You took my verbal punches in stride and I respect that. I've been gaming since the NES was new and have never been more blown away by a game-world's detail than RDR2. I just absolutely appreciate the workmanship and craft that went into that game...and perhaps I get a little too passionate when I see a fellow gamer shrug at its masterclass world design. I don't think this is a case of recency bias...that would go to games like Spiderman 2. But yes...there are snappier gaming experiences out their (including RDR1). Many people prefer this...including myself...but I still absolutely think RDR2 is worth playing for many years to come. All the best.
Thank you for saying that. I really dislike when people can’t stay civil when someone disagrees so I try to stay level headed. Unless your about to say toejam and earl 2 is good then you can go to hell lol. And yea world building is top notch. And yes we could not agree moreee on spider man 2. Game of the year??? Oh hell no. The first one was decent enough but the second one was laughably underwhelming. I hope to see you around more. Cheers from a fellow gamer of your age..ish
Refreshing to hear someone agree on Red Dead 2, Bloodstained and Ragnarok.
