Morgana's story is one of my favourites, and this song ROCKS.
Is this lore accurate? It's been a while since I read Morgana lore and to my knowledge very little from this song refers to lore.
@@serahill They changed it completely, Morg and Kayle are still sisters, but Kayle decided to keep herself at her mother's path and Morgana decided to be free, so they kind of betrayed each other and now Morg tyied up her wings and wander with the mortals or something like that.

The girl singing did an absolute bang up job the sound design with the chains mixed with the lyrics gave me a folk or old county vibe this was a home run

Morgana was the reason that I started playing League of Legends 6 years ago and I love her til this day. This feels incredibly in character. To say that I have goosebumps is an understatement! Thank you so much for this masterpiece!!!
She was my very first champion in Season 1. My first LoL crush. Gotta say, she is gorgeous now, though the old lore was nicer. Still love her to bits.
This is far better than anything Riot had for us in her lore rework, let's be real.
@@jasond.valentine5931 I was really sceptical when they reworked her and I do prefer her old lore as well but at least she's still recognizable and I was hoping that they would make her abilities red in her exiled skin, what they did luckily.

I understood why you stopped, I accepted it with a heavy heart and moved on. Years later, in 2020, my friend linked me this song this morning. My heart soared happily. Upon listening to this with the first few chords and words this track became one of my favourites from you, not only because Morgana is a goddamn QUEEN, but because this is the right song at the right time. Things have been bleak, but seeing you feature Rena again and have her perform on this epic track fills my heart with hope. Thank you for coming back, Falconshield, we missed you
This can be called nothing but a masterpiece. This is some in-depth understanding of not only LoL lore, but psychology and sociology. This is beautiful.
You know when you click on a video like "oh this might be an alright vid I guess.." and then it blows your mind away?! This is basically my experience right now!

Her vocal abilities and this part of lyrics in this song gets me everytime
I really liked that this song did not make the typical "justice vs mercy" mistake that many people make of the duality between Kayle and Morgana.
Morgana is not about mercy or forgiveness. She is just as much about justice as Kayle is, just in a different way. The duality is not about justice and mercy, but rather about punishment and atonement. You could also find something like deontology and consequentialism if you look hard enough, but that is nor really my point.
Morgana does not simply forgive. She teaches people very harsh lessons, so they will not do these bad things again. She lets people repent if they are willing, otherwise she forces them to. In her story she makes someone feel all the pain he caused to others to transform him into a more empathetic person. This is not forgiveness.
I feel like another major difference between them is that Kayle only sees things in absolutes. Something is either absolutely right or absolutely wrong, whereas Morgana tries to look into the context behind these actions. Remember the context behind what she did to him. He was bringing one of his students to there for raising his hand against him, but then the context of why he did so comes out.
Meanwhile Kayle would've just smote him.
Ehh I feel like most people just hate how kayle is done now. We get that they're both possibly supposed to be extremes but it seems morgana is given more of a nicer touch where as Kayle was given brute Zealot almost (Which feels weird as hell to those who liked the original) :( ((Even my religous friend says he hates how kayle is repped, even in one of her stories she obliterates a whole town because of a few??))

Like from morganas view most of the ones they fault couldnt possibly just be bad and it wasnt right to judge so quickly. (Like i said im prob gonna get this wrong since its been awhile, ill look it up and come back)
The difference since it may sound the same, is that kayles attitude wasnt nearly as zealous and valor. She CARED at one point and after eons almost seemed more like someone who was losing hope in "saving" people, but she never gave that up really. Offers a hand before fighting ya know?

A Kayle response song is vary much needed
The one thing I love about kayle and morgana's story is that they both represent justice, but two different types of justice.
Kayle is judgment and execution, while Morgana is forgiveness and repentance
Two sides of the same coin.
Its a bit more than that. Morgana is personal. She judges each criminal individually and delivers a punishment based on how much they have already suffered. If she believes they haven't suffered for their crimes and aren't repentant she will inflict pain so they can atone. If they have already suffered enough for example being forced into crime by circumstances out of their control she will forgive them. By contrast Kayle is impersonal. She doesn't care who you are or why you did it, the punishment is the same. Morgana would say that Kayle's method is cruel and lacks nuance, while Kayle would say that Morgana's is reliant on personal interpretation and is therefore flawed compared to a rigid code of law.
in short, its like:
kayle: LAW STANDS ABOVE ALL
morgana: TRUE JUSTICE NEEDS COMPASSION
choose whatever suits you more, there is no wrong option here to be honest

I've never played League of Legends. I have no idea what the story is, who the character is, or why this was in my recommended list. But hot damn I'm glad it was. This hurts in such a beautiful way. What a powerful song.
So to sum it up, Morgana, The Fallen, is a sister with Kayle, The Judgement. They were both daughters to the Aspect of Justice ( Aspect is basically a God.) Where Kayle would see everything in black and white, right and wrong, and would punish harshly ( aka smite the shit out of everyone) for any and all crimes, no matter how small, Morgana would look to the empathetic side. She would make them suffer the same pain they inflicted others, to get them to repent

@@azuron7026 Man, I REALLY want to like it. But it was just meh, I feel. I can't get over the lack of voice acting, which I especially feel bad about in regards to Jhin. You can make every other character without voice acting work, but him I feel you can't. Zed was okay, I like Ahri and Irelia most. Seeing Badmin again felt nice. I hope I'll like it more once I give it a listen a few more times.
I love the double-meaning in the final 2 lines of the chorus,
"I have seen right through your intent, I have nothing to forgive"
That can be either a good or a bad thing for you. And I love that.

Anyone else find themselves interpreting the song's lyrics as the singer talking to the audience? I started out thinking she was talking to Kayle, but now I feel like she's talking to me. Telling the listener that they have no forgiveness to seek, because it's often ourselves we need to forgive.
She has nothing to forgive, because we are the only things capable of forgiving ourselves for our mistakes, our doubts. In a time when the internet has become so toxic, the world at large even, I feel like I lose faith in humanity, and by extension, in myself.
But here is a reminder that we must find out own solutions.
We must not believe the lies they spew.
We must not pass by this life to cherish.
We must not let the fear burden us.
And we must find a reason to forgive.
Maybe I'm just all messed up, hell, I'm sure I am. I guess we see ourselves in art.
