What do you mean...? I just replaced it and it worked. Some of us follow the manufacturer recommendations. It is not a question of if. it is a question of when. all electronics will fail
@@thingsconsidered2901 I have the same model Del Latitude 5590 as yours and want to upgrade the battery but still confused if it is ok to replace a 11.4V battery with 7.6V. After replacement is your system still working fine ?

Great video! I should have been gentler prying off the back - I chipped a corner.
We live to learn.
Thanks the video. Pc was hung and needed the battery disconnected.
I needed the spudger to get the darn screws out. They were buggers!
Was your battery swollen when this happened?
@@JohnDoe-hs1jp It was not.
@@inteRUSSting Oh. I had the same problem, but I thought it was due to my swollen battery.
@@JohnDoe-hs1jp For me it was the ends of the screws. It was like they were made to purposely not come the whole way out of the case.
Yes..that maybe true.
Can a six cell battery be used too?
if its on the support page , yes
You cannot replace 11.4V with 7.6V. This replacement will overload the battery controller and cause it to fail in the near future.
