Please remember to write down how many titans you have lost! Write it down after each battle and count the total - it may be relevant some point in the future....
The special titans are primarily made by using primordial cores. You get those by doing critical wounds on BPIII cards. In general cycle 1 - you mainly use the dreamwalkers and if lucky you can make 1 or 2 earthshakers and Mazerunners. The 3rd cycle 1 advanced titan "Logicbreaker" however has much easier way to make it near end of cycle 1 by using Temenos resources.
After playing Cycle 1,2 & 3 the way advanced titans are designed are that current cycle will have difficulty getting advanced titans from that cycle but have an easier way of getting advanced titans from previous cycle. So Cycle 2 has easier way of making cycle 1 advanced titans but harder way of making Cycle 2. Don't think you are doing anything wrong if you are primarily using dreamwalkers in cycle 1 since it is the beginning.
Also don't be afraid of using the sisyphus tears if you have a full wipe as losing titans is the easiest way to lose the game. It's how I lost cycle 1 the first time.
Use tears to redo mission if you have really unlucky rolls or trauma draws to keep titan population up. (Another hint is the sail armor that gives second chance is actually quite good and lets you redraw insta kill trauma like disembowel. Its a super early armor but a mainstay for much of cycle 1 for me. Anything with second chance is gold).
Also for structural research prioritise titan hunting to make sure you have more ways of getting your titan numbers up.
Good Hunting Tom!
Ranged weapons or weapons that allow you to reposition after your attack are very useful against the Hekaton (alongside the spring boots and when he gets higher levels, safety rope - so you don't fall off the edge). Also you have the option of retreating from fights (not all but for most timeline ones) when you lose 2 titans depending on the retreat condition - you also keep whatever resources you've gained as wounds.
Love it! Already looking forward to the next episode. Thanks Tom and hope you enjoy your epic journey!
Hi Tom! Loving your videos here retelling your adventure. Hope you continue and show that Temenos who's boss!
I love this 'storytime' style of recap! Also much more feasible then a full video playthrough and so more likely to actually happen, which is great, since I was an original backer but sold bc of not being able to get it to the table and so appreciate hearing what can happen.
Thanks. Can’t watch this series though since I’m playing it myself r n.
Bloody marvelous game🎉
This is the best way to hear about your game sessions. What gave you the idea of doing these abridged battle reports?
Love your videos on this! Very enjoyable.
You will get also a technology to breed titans later. And if you have Primordial Cores you may fuse thise cores to get specific titans. However- special tech is needed for that (of course! :D)
so he's retelling his adventure, i want to see him actually play it, i wanna see if they're making mistakes. I wanna see how hard it is for them to play.,
Dont forget that when you collect resources after a successful battle, you multiply the number of each resource by the primordial's level. if you have fought the hecaton 3 or 4 times, it should be level 3 or 4, so resources x 3 or 4.
Very fun report on the campaign and quite a bit i havent heard of though i am further along. The Pursuer will fly away after it kills one titan the first time, after 2 titans the second time etc .... though in the end i think you have to kill it - the titans do get very much more powerful though.
hope you read the fine print that level 2 and level 3 enemies give twice and thrice the rewards!
I have to check, but I think the pursuer has unimpeded movement.
Man, you got lucky on your hub rolls to consecutively roll the hub that gives you mazerunner this early in the game. Great job!
Good on you for playing through this and giving your thoughts/experiences in this format.
Hi - still planning to finish this? I haven’t seen anything in the past few weeks!
So glad you are covering this game! It is now my number one board game of all time. Hope you have fun!
Glad Bob lives to fight another day
Are you going to upload more videos?
Very cool series! Looking forward to the next episode
Enjoying this series!
My Mazerunner Titan (I named him Eris) actually still loves up until this point. Apparently he had been blessed and has seen all of his comrades die in battle ahhaha. He is the only titan that's still alive from the early game. Right now I'm really close to the finale and he's still holding strong... I would love to see him beat the final boss and become my well respected veteran for Cycle 2😍
Haha I made the same decision as you as well with Tessa. Only my reason behind it was she mentioned all her family was dead so I suppose that she might want to die to go with her love ones.
Loved the coverage Tom! My fondness for Aeon's Trespass known no bounds.
Loving these stories!
