Album version is definitely the ultimate version. Nevertheless I like this version in recent years as well; it’s packed with rock and energy. I guess that’s why DM always plays this version in live performances.
It's not flawed and it's a very good performance, but they've taken away everything I like about the song (apart from Dave's voice). It does not feel like it's performed with as much power as it needs. Performing Zephyr Mix instead of Album Mix is already a big enough sacrifice (I feel Album Version is much more powerful), but this feels like they've weakened even the Zephyr Mix. It's a shame. This is a great arrangement and they're definitely not lacking the ability required, but this performance feels like it wants more raw energy in it and they seem to have made the decision to take that away. The only way I can think to describe it is that they've somehow tamed the song and removed all the angst from it.
