Fight it. I had some severe damage done by a dentist who attempted to fill a bi-lateral cavity when the tooth should have been root canal’d and crowned - the repair after the failure ran to the tune of $3700. If you grease the right wheels, they’ll make it right. If they don’t, lose your shit.
I’m in the process of doing this to my mouth. Except for the the pain they are turning out great. I’m only 49 but meds ruined my teeth. (To my standards) had already lost quite a few. So anyhow the cost was a shock but was happy I had the money to do it. With what I’m paying I could have seriously bought a tiny home. This was very interesting to watch. With doing a full set of teeth it’s a little different it goes in more like a denture/plate. Feels weird at first but gets better every day. Anyway good job Doc. God bless

At last I started drinking the meal replacement shakes. They are perfectly balanced for a diabetic. My favorite is the Walmart equate brand strawberry and cream and the vanilla. I’m talking abt the equivalent to slim fast shakes. Not the little protein drinks. Anyway good luck. God bless

I had a recent implant and mine was a very ling procedure with extraction and stitches, a few months later I had screws implanted and a few after that I was fitted for the implant. I wonder why mine couldn't have been finished in a day?
I had the exact same thing, also with bone implant. It was such a hardcore experience. I was so in pain but I know it's worth it. God bless my dentist. He know what I need & he really think of my own existence & hardship of dreaming a full teeth. I am going to have 3 of my front teeth crowned possibly this week. I just hope it's not going to be as painful as bone implant 🥹

It would of really been call the mass murder house cause drilling teeth and not anesthesia or numbing agent is like some idiot pulling my hair like i am an animal be abused. And yanked around. The last time that happened to me i calmly and methodically beat every man in the building unconcious the a number of potential tooth drillers, and hair pullers lay in the parking lot as i worked my way to my car and drove away from this murder house and it looked like a war zone.
That type of spearing pain sends a signal to my brain and i know what I'm doing not like a black out i just cant stop the urge and the desire to beat every living creature within eyesight and ear shot into oblivian.

I've had one tooth replaced (one over toward front teeth) with this procedure. The pain I experienced getting the Novocaine was horrendous. The first attempt failed so I had to go through a lot of the experience all over again. As a grown woman I cried. I doubt I will ever go through this again unless I am put to sleep for the procedure. The gum over the implant is fine. However, the gum over the tooth next to it has receded a lot. My regular dentist spoke of gum surgery. I got a new dentist.

How do I ask my dentist for that white base you used underneath the tooth? My doctor used a dark material and now there is a dark line around the base of my tooth. I'm very unhappy with it.
Just to be clear and up front, I’m not a dentist. I’m a dental technician in a lab where we manufacture implants and crowns like these. The white base is a zircon abutment. It’s used as a kind of stand-in for a prepped tooth so the crown (usually also zircon, but a more aesthetic and slightly weaker type) can be attached without leaving an exposed screw channel that the dentist would need to patch using cement. The abutment can also be manufactured using a marginally darker shade of zircon than the exterior. The different layers, with minor variations in both shade and level of translucency, help to better mimic the appearance of a natural tooth.

I have an oral surgeon in the Dallas Ft. Worth area that does this same procedure same day for front teeth like this one. You can even have an IV sedation to not know it is being done.
This is an Implant with a crown attached it is permanent unless the ground breaks later which sometimes they do but he’ll just have to do the crown again and it won’t hurt because that other pieces in there
I'll explain it to you good fellow. The indication for that upper left Canine extraction ( Removal/pulling) is that it's missing three quarters of its root. Meaning it's no longer supported by the Alveolar bone. In fact you can see that the canine was extracted very easily for an upper canine because it was held more by soft tissues rather than bone! In general, when less than half of the Tooth Root is supported by Alveolar bone it's indicated for extraction especially with a 3rd degree movement. If the Tooth has half of his root surrounded by bone, we usually " tie it" to another tooth, a casting procedure.

It's very interesting. It really is part artform. I'll make sure I have a general anaesthetic if I ever have one done. That canine tooth seemed very short. My teeth have a much better grip on my head and having seen x-rays of my teeth I know my eyeteeth go way up.

I mean, if they could be used, then replacing a handful of teeth with implants, would allow a person to move to a full pallet replacement much later, if need be, without additional surgeries. People might be more willing to go ahead and invest in implants, if they knew they could be used later. _(especially if they're a person that is looking at a number of future potential issues)_ They'd see it more like a potential investment.
What a nice dentist! I've had an implant placed directly after an extraction and in another treatment, I've also had one placed after an interval of several months. Much preferred the latter because it was less painful. My dentist tells me that there is a greater success rate doing it that way, too. The implant procedure itself doesn't hurt , but I still find it pretty unpleasant and usually ask my dentist for a sedative to take beforehand (Valium). The steroids that they prescribe after the procedure, presumably to help reduce the swelling, do not agree with me at all and I can only tolerate taking them for a day or two before they really upset my stomach. I had another extraction in January and will be back in September for the implant. Can't say I'm looking forward to it! In the US where I had the other implants done, the dental surgeon did not talk me through it and explain what he was doing. I don't like that. I'm hoping for a better experience here in Spain which is where I now live. On the plus side, it's costing me less than half of what it cost in the US. :)

I have 1 implant and it took 7 months to see the final result from extraction to bone grafting then placing of the abutment and healing time had to wear bridge wasn’t the best time of my journey...

My right side upper eye tooth is an implant I had done as a teenager and then had to have it redone in my 30’s as the first one failed 16 yrs later. I had to wait 6 months for the bone to fuse to the post before I could get my crown placed.. is this in video a temporary crown or the permanent… hmm this is different from what I knew of implants… nice tho to have it all done post surgery if so.

It can seem concerning, but dentists usually monitor anesthesia carefully to prevent sudden discomfort. Is kriss ai an app can i use it too?

How do I ask my dentist for that white base you used underneath the tooth? My doctor used a dark material and now there is a dark line around the base of my tooth. I'm very unhappy with it.

Just to be clear and up front, I’m not a dentist. I’m a dental technician in a lab where we manufacture implants and crowns like these.
The white base is a zircon abutment.
It’s used as a kind of stand-in for a prepped tooth so the crown (usually also zircon, but a more aesthetic and slightly weaker type) can be attached without leaving an exposed screw channel that the dentist would need to patch using cement.
The abutment can also be manufactured using a marginally darker shade of zircon than the exterior. The different layers, with minor variations in both shade and level of translucency, help to better mimic the appearance of a natural tooth.

This is an Implant with a crown attached it is permanent unless the ground breaks later which sometimes they do but he’ll just have to do the crown again and it won’t hurt because that other pieces in there

I'll explain it to you good fellow.
The indication for that upper left Canine extraction ( Removal/pulling) is that it's missing three quarters of its root. Meaning it's no longer supported by the Alveolar bone. In fact you can see that the canine was extracted very easily for an upper canine because it was held more by soft tissues rather than bone!
In general, when less than half of the Tooth Root is supported by Alveolar bone it's indicated for extraction especially with a 3rd degree movement. If the Tooth has half of his root surrounded by bone, we usually " tie it" to another tooth, a casting procedure.

It's very interesting. It really is part artform. I'll make sure I have a general anaesthetic if I ever have one done. That canine tooth seemed very short. My teeth have a much better grip on my head and having seen x-rays of my teeth I know my eyeteeth go way up.

Can they use that implant, as an anchor point for a full palette replacement at a later date?
I mean, if they could be used, then replacing a handful of teeth with implants, would allow a person to move to a full pallet replacement much later, if need be, without additional surgeries. People might be more willing to go ahead and invest in implants, if they knew they could be used later. _(especially if they're a person that is looking at a number of future potential issues)_

What a nice dentist! I've had an implant placed directly after an extraction and in another treatment, I've also had one placed after an interval of several months. Much preferred the latter because it was less painful. My dentist tells me that there is a greater success rate doing it that way, too. The implant procedure itself doesn't hurt , but I still find it pretty unpleasant and usually ask my dentist for a sedative to take beforehand (Valium). The steroids that they prescribe after the procedure, presumably to help reduce the swelling, do not agree with me at all and I can only tolerate taking them for a day or two before they really upset my stomach. I had another extraction in January and will be back in September for the implant. Can't say I'm looking forward to it! In the US where I had the other implants done, the dental surgeon did not talk me through it and explain what he was doing. I don't like that. I'm hoping for a better experience here in Spain which is where I now live. On the plus side, it's costing me less than half of what it cost in the US. :)

I have 1 implant and it took 7 months to see the final result from extraction to bone grafting then placing of the abutment and healing time had to wear bridge wasn’t the best time of my journey...

That bone mill tool looks exactly like a spot weld removing tool,used in classic car restoration!Amazing.

I was very surprised at just how deep he drilled. I didn't think there was that much bone up there to support such a big hole.
Sometimes on the top there isn't. I once had to have a sinus lift and a bone transplant as part of the procure.

My right side upper eye tooth is an implant I had done as a teenager and then had to have it redone in my 30’s as the first one failed 16 yrs later. I had to wait 6 months for the bone to fuse to the post before I could get my crown placed.. is this in video a temporary crown or the permanent… hmm this is different from what I knew of implants… nice tho to have it all done post surgery if so.
