Great instructional video. I have the exact make and model and (HAD) the same issue. As of 1/13/24, my unit is repaired and ready for all the snow that may be headed our way in New Jersey.
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the great info.
Mine surged a couple times and quit. I always get premium gas and keep things clean but I’ll be cleaning carb here shortly.
Found out today it is the ignition-$375 @ shop
Thx again.
Great video showing how to disassemble the snow blower cover to get at the carburetor for cleaning. I have to do the same thing for my snow blower to get at the carburetor and change the spark plug. No matter what machine the manufactures build their snow blowers in a very similar way not making it user friendly for repairs.
Thank you for this video. Now mine is running again!
Glad it helped
Great job, big pimpin.
I have this same model snow blower. So for storage, is it recommended to drain the float bowl only or both that and the gas tank?
Wonderful content by a craftsman. Does that 3x gimmick really work?
yes
@@lmsmallenginerepair4471 My 28" cub cadet 3 x has been junk. I want my old mtd 5hp back
@@willydavid I would like to convert it to 2x.
@@willydavid they owe us 3x buyers a re-build kit for the auger's to be changed
They need a shut off gas valve
Good Video Mark , That Carburetor Was A Bit Of A Pain To Get Off, I Have A Honda Fire Fighter Water Pump Designed The Same Way With The Bar In The Way Of The Carburetor & You Have To Undo The Engine Mounts To Get The Carburetor Off. Who's The Idiots Who Design These ?? Absolutely Crazy
thanks for watching some of these designs are real dumb
No it doesn't work at all it leaves lines on either side of the blower no matter how you try to get rid of them it always leaves 2 inch lines
