Because Rocket Man is better, the movie was infinitely more engaging than Bohemian Rhapsody. It actually showed us who Elton John is in a unique way that tied into the story. Bohemian Rhapsody was just a safe generic biopic with a great performance from Rami Malek but that's about it
I can think of a few reasons. 1- Bohemian Rhapsody is a false movie that made up a lot of facts meanwhile Rocket man stayed fairly true to RL 2- Taron actually sang the songs and Rami lip-sync'd 3- The movie was actually better (Screw the Oscar's the movie was terribly shot and had meh pacing)
