I think no one has talked about this. But there is another exploit you can do to get a specific outbreak of a Pokemon you want. All you have to do is enter any outbreak, save in front of laventon and then go back to the village immediately, that can cause more outbreaks to spawn. If they all despawn simply reset and keep trying until you see the outbreak you want.
After watching your vid, I caught a shiny bedew from an outbreak. Your instructions are easy to understand and very helpful. Keep up the good work and success in shiny hunting.

Great video. Managed to get 4 outbreaks and 3 shinies in quick succession now. Helpful tip, after a few failed attemps with a skorupi outbreak i found that the one-two hit combo of mud ball then pokeball helps avoid battling every agro pokemon.
This doesn't seem to work anymore? I'm trying since most recent update for the first time. And everytime I try to reset the outbreak (when you want a specfic mon), i only take like 5-10 seconds to speak with prof and leave (well within that 1-2min time window) but it outbreak I'm wanting disappears every time. Could you do a follow up to see if this has indeed changed? Thanks.
Does saving in Jubilife Village before you enter the zone, and having that be your reset point, work the same? I've been resetting for over an hour and no shiny. I just assumed it was bad luck, but your video makes it seem like I should've seen something by now.
I don't know why my outbreak won't load again :( my auto save is off, I saved at the village after seeing the outbreak I wanted, and at the camp I saved again, after the outbreak didn't give me a shiny, I restarted the game then when I loaded back into the camp and went to travel back into the village within 60 seconds, and not the same outbreak won't load again .-. I've tried reloading it 20+ times and it just wont come back. What do I do?

I followed what you said word for word, but I didn't know that the "go to the village and back" was patched... so I lost the eevee outbreak. A little bummed out cause I was looking for a shiny eevee well over 6 months... But that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop hunting. I really, really want a shiny Umbreon.
This method doesn't work for me or my wife at all I mean we followed it to the letter and the outbreak is never there the second time I mean we do it as quick as possible and it just doesn't work so idk man
You don't have to save as soon as you see the shiny. If you soft reset to the save at the beginning of the area it'll still spawn the same outbreak pokemon. You can approach the outbreak more carefully the second time knowing a shiny will spawn

For anyone wondering why it isn't working for them, the new update made it so when you go to the village the outbreaks change or disappear so even if u save, anytime you have to go to the village it will vanish, soooo this method is no longer working you have to beat the game pretty much to get the massive mass outbreaks to hunt again with working odds.

Can catch them, screenshot all of them and then reset. Then do the same next reset and see if they are the same. If not, you are doing it right, but if they are the same, you are doing something wrong.
What I’d recommended doing is going into the area, save (turn off auto save before saving), going to the outbreak, and catching/killing everything. If you don’t get a shiny, then catch it and save. If you’re hunting something with very little difference, and you’re worried about missing it then check your pastures for it. The other method I really wouldn’t recommend, because you’re much less likely to fail and more likely to fail one. You could look at the first 4 then leave, but that’s only recommended if you’re going for something with a low catch rate, high aggression and too strong for your team to handle (like a Zoroark). You’re more likely to have a shiny (or two) in the rest of the outbreak than the first 4, so you’re more likely to lose the shiny in the rest of the outbreak. The resets are much, much faster with the second, but you encounter less per reset. So instead of getting 10+ encounters per reset, you only get 4 so you technically encounter Pokémon at a slower rate.
watched this video because i got my first eevee outbreak ever that i wanted to shiny hunt but as soon as i got done doing the first few steps, there was already a shiny eevee there upon landing the very first time LOL, i'm still going to give kudos to this video for helping me out tho!

A question. does the shiniess of the mass outbreak Pokemon you are hunting decided when you upload the area (press on the area on the map in the front gate of the village)? if so can you just save before ulpoad the area (press on it on the map) and load your save game if you don't find a shiny if yoy hunt for a specific shiny Pokemon?

I tried to capture shiny murkrow in mass outbreak method today but I did not find one because I did not save my game in the village but in the outbreak area. I’m following all the steps , for the first option of saving before going into outbreak and then the 2nd option which is saving after entering and then catching all , resetting game , and when I leave the area after loading back up the outbreak leaves everytime .
@@ivanpechler6242 yeah this was patched unfortunately, the RUclipsr should change the title to “outdated” but yeah unfortunately with update 1.1.1 odds for shiny in an outbreak you haven’t encountered are set the moment they pop up on the map.
Super helpful, but I have a question: if the shiny rate is already set once you load in the specific outbreak area and you save the game, doesn't that mean you also always get the same spawns, meaning if there is no shiny in the outbreak and you saved, there will always only be the same outbreak without a shiny?

Why not just save at the city gate in the village so you don’t have to load both from Field to Village then Village back to Field every time? Loading from the village will still give a fresh roll every time right? Seems like it just skips a small step, unless I’m missing something.

I've caught 3 Shiny with this method, last night I was hunting for a magikarp for probably an hour and got bummed out and went to bed. After work today I continued my hunt for maybe 30-40 minutes and got 2 shiny magikarp BACK TO BACK in the same outbreak I wish I got it on video I couldn't believe it!!!

Not sure if I'm doing this right but I went to one camp after outbreak popped up after saving in village, saved there then went to a camp closer to outbreak and saved again. No shiny so I tried resetting and going back to village but the outbreak kept disappearing. On my 5th try or so it spawned a new outbreak, is this normal?

I think it’s decided already when you get the outbreak message in the village, I saved in the village never went out to the location but it’s still giving me pokemons with exact stats every reset. Been resetting for hours only getting same stats mons
Question, could you just use the village as the soft reset point should you fail to find a shiny? Like if it fails just reset and go the region again from the fields. Or does it not do anything for the spawns?
Need some advice: I've done a Braviary mass outbreak over 50 times, and confirmed mons are changing, but have no shiny, still. I've previously successfully done mass outbreaks, with the exact method described in the video, and got a shiny in quick or moderate times. The only difference now is the sky is changed and I'm mid palkia/dialga battles. Is there a chance shiny's are locked during this part of the game?
I don't think that has an effect, but with the current updates some shiny hunting methods will not work anymore, but I've been having the same issue too. Been shiny hunting spheal for over 8 hours and managed to catch over 150 of those round blue boys. All I want is a pink boy :(

Not really, all of them have a set location in wich they show up, for example, Sneasel ourbreaks are in the Icelands and Coronet Highlands.

Not sure if I'm doing this right but I went to one camp after outbreak popped up after saving in village, saved there then went to a camp closer to outbreak and saved again. No shiny so I tried resetting and going back to village but the outbreak kept disappearing. On my 5th try or so it spawned a new outbreak, is this normal?

I am doing A mass outbreak and when it is done, i quit the gamew start from my safe Point and go back tot the city and when i want to go back it is gone, the mass outbreak is gone, how can i fix this?

If you see a shiny Pokémon, save before catching it, and then soft reset will it still be shiny when you boot the game back up?

I think it’s decided already when you get the outbreak message in the village, I saved in the village never went out to the location but it’s still giving me pokemons with exact stats every reset. Been resetting for hours only getting same stats mons
Save in the field. Then reset and go to village and back

Question, could you just use the village as the soft reset point should you fail to find a shiny? Like if it fails just reset and go the region again from the fields. Or does it not do anything for the spawns?

Need some advice: I've done a Braviary mass outbreak over 50 times, and confirmed mons are changing, but have no shiny, still. I've previously successfully done mass outbreaks, with the exact method described in the video, and got a shiny in quick or moderate times. The only difference now is the sky is changed and I'm mid palkia/dialga battles. Is there a chance shiny's are locked during this part of the game?
I don't think that has an effect, but with the current updates some shiny hunting methods will not work anymore, but I've been having the same issue too. Been shiny hunting spheal for over 8 hours and managed to catch over 150 of those round blue boys. All I want is a pink boy :(
The game always auto save me when i finish the outbreak, what should i do ?
Turn off auto save in the settings
Bro I did this .. turned auto save off too, got a shiny Gardevoir and I saved it just before but the outbreak was gone??? Did I do something wrong?

Does this still work? I just tried resetting my game and going in and out to reset the outbreak but it didn’t work
When i reset my game the outbreak is gone once I return to the village before the time is out.
Well, would it also work if you save at the village rather than at a camp?
