My wife just bought me one lol I’ve been too lazy to use it. I will keep that in mind 👍🏼
Love your channel. Im a forklift tech as well and really wanted to start my own channel doing stuff like you.
It’s never too late!
Always replace that check valve in the bottom of the piston, that’s usually the reason for bypassing. Also have never had an oring under that washer. There’s an oring on the outside of that check valve.
Correct. I realized that after filming it. I had accidentally put it under the washer. Thanks for the tip!
Awesome video and awesome channel. New sub , peace ✌🏽
Thank you so much! Much more content coming soon!
Not a lot of day in the life forklift tech videos out there. As a former tech I like to watch these still.
Thank you so much!
i'm shocked how many tools and handy attachments u have in US
Do you have a trick for getting the piston passed the threads on the barrel without damaging the piston seals?
I typically put a good amount of grease on the seal and slowly move it passed the threads while I move the piston from left to right and forward and back. It’s tricky but I’ve never had a seal damaged by the threads. It’s hard to explain, but it’s almost like a circular motion.
@@theforkliftguy yeah that has been my technique as well, and normally it does work but I’ve had a seal tear on the threads too. I’m always looking for tips from more experienced folks.
Free lifts can be a huge pain. Good work on this one. The chain wrench is a great idea. I usually use a pipe wrench or a spanner that grabs the notches in the gland nut but sometimes clearance is an issue with those.
Thank you again for a wonderful video!
