About A League of Their Own: In 1943, Carson Shaw travels to Chicago to try out for the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. There, she meets other women who also dream of playing pro baseball and makes connections that open up her world. Rockford local Max Chapman also comes to the tryouts but is turned away. With the support of her best friend Clance, she must forge a new path to pursue her dream.

Even if you didn’t love the movie (I didn’t, I barely remember it) still watch this series! I didn’t have any intentions on watching but it kept popping up on my Twitter TL, I decided to give it a go and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I am obsessed with the show! When you’re fully vested in multiple characters from only 8 episodes, someone has done something right….🍻(oh she beers) to everyone involved in bringing this project to life

After having watched the movie as a kid and the series after also figuring myself out later in life, I would add that this show does a great job of mixing in tons of references to the movie while expanding the lens of who was there and what was really going on. Highly recommend watching it if you haven't and cant wait for more seasons to come!

Yes I was a fan of the movie, but the television series goes far beyond the movie. The series goes deep within the characters lives. It allows you to love and care for them.
