Absent from these types of discussions is always the "how." Sure, everyone can nature bathe daily and experience some moderate benefits, but it's not enough to offset the toll of living in an increasingly toxic and exhausting system. Ideally, we'd all have a little cabin in the woods and raise/forage our own food, etc, but it's very difficult to find affordable land of this sort to build on. Not to mention still needing to make a "system" income to afford the taxes, among other expenses. And what if you're taking care of sick parents who can't/won't move out into the wilderness? The list of complications and "strings" tying most people to modern society are the real issue. It's the "how" not the "why" that needs more attention.
I know re-balancing who gets taxed and what amount (looking at amazon, google, ect), and fortifying the things that keep people happy and alive with that funding would give us some starting momentum. Those who have more should care for those who have less. It's rather basic but the American pride on individuality has pushed away the notion that helping others less fortunate is something we should all value beyond money. Show that with funding infrastructure, clean energy, social security nets such as disability and food stamps, preventing businesses from killing people by pricing them out of the healthcare system. These changes will help more people find that something they're missing and increase their interest in more than just their own survival. Giving us more people who CAN and WANT to make change. We've made our own environment unlivable which leads to dependency on other sources. Look to indigenous cultures for land management techniques, value curiosity and a willingness to learn.

Living in such a system is a choice. There are no victims here -- only players. If you wish not to play, that's an option that you can exercise. It comes with a price, of course, and the willingness to pay that price hints at what you value most.
@@jethrohetero4990 No, there is a way that's not either of these. I mean no money at all. Now you might be asking: But then, how do we trade? And let me tell you: Somewhere along the timeline of this universe, the human must be able to rely on other people's honesty and kindness. Otherwise, all systems will fail eventually and fall off the table.
It's not just that. It's because humans are not doing what they're designed to do - hunt and gather and live in the wild. In short, the problem is civilization, regardless of the particular economic system it uses. Humans need to live a technology-free existence to be happy.

It should be common sense that we resist this, but the cultural trend isn’t optimally resistant to update the sellers with the true demand of buyers. Eventually, in time or with force this whole psychological game of turning pleasure into a reward will collapse. In bulks of change or completely otherwise a new system will emerge to replace this model…
One word: simulacrum. We lack genuine connections: to other people, to nature, to the REAL world. And I don't mean by this it is technology's fault. Yes, social media and the internet play a role. But capitalism's logic of comodification of everything is a huge part of our social and spiritual lack. Look at transportation: all cars, compartimentalization instead of busses and subways. Look at work cubicles! Compare that to school classes; more people in the same space, makes opportunity to connect and share experiences with others. This logic is prevalent EVERYWHERE.
Because they have the leisure time to think about their lives, over-think their lives, and compare what they see from a plural world to their own life. When you're busy LIVING your life, you have less time to ponder it unproductively.
The holly and the ivy. Suffering and the struggle. When they are both full grown, of all the trees, in this fickle woods ,the holly bares the crown. Suffering. That is the master, the beast and the savior.
There are people who had a near death experience, who say that in the future humanity will divide into two camps. One camp will be more and more interlinked with technology and the other camp will live with out technology and will be happy. The technology side will also destroy itsself and live in the cities.
Meh. I think most modern day christians are having the exact same struggles, and it's not clear to me that they fare any better than atheists. I do think that some other religious traditions (like Buddhism and Judaism) navigate these things more skillfully though, through their cultural wisdom. Sadly, I think Christianity has come to be treated just like some cheap 'cheat codes' for unlocking heaven, and to feel justified in thinking you are superior to those who are not christian.

We have transferred intelligence digitally into inorganic matter and systems, which will expand exponentially and evolve even further than any biological creatures could have taken it. Having accomplished this role/function as a stepping stone for the evolution of intelligence, there's really nothing left for humans to do as a species, except indulge and take pleasure in our limited senses, until we fade completely away from this reality. There is no higher purpose for us.

our brains are adapted for survival in a shitty environment, not in luxury. unless we harness genetic engineering or some shit that won't change.

Living in a system that promotes and rewards exploitation and sociopathy.
Living in such a system is a choice. There are no victims here -- only players. If you wish not to play, that's an option that you can exercise. It comes with a price, of course, and the willingness to pay that price hints at what you value most.
Fingers crossed some day you draw/interview Daniel's friend, Jordan Hall!
In short: It's all capitalism, who didn't expect this...
Are you implying we would be better off in a communist regime?
@@jethrohetero4990 No, there is a way that's not either of these. I mean no money at all.
Now you might be asking: But then, how do we trade?
And let me tell you: Somewhere along the timeline of this universe, the human must be able to rely on other people's honesty and kindness. Otherwise, all systems will fail eventually and fall off the table.
Its Civilization.
It's not just that. It's because humans are not doing what they're designed to do - hunt and gather and live in the wild. In short, the problem is civilization, regardless of the particular economic system it uses. Humans need to live a technology-free existence to be happy.
No. Its Oversocialization! Ted Kaczynski wrote about it.
اللهم صل وسلم على نبينا محمد صدقة جارية بإذن الله
Exploitation welcome to capitalism. No need to say more if you know what capitalism is how it works and what it's requirements and outcomes are. Breeding of wageslaves and consumers (learn history of consumer culture) doesn't leave any room for personality, identity, self-esteem... divide and conquer into each individuals deepest self. Eradication of everything for numbers on bank computers and colored paper.
🎯
Not to start an argument, but do you know of a better system?
So true I have 10 acres built ponds 20 years ago ducks ducklings red wing black bird protecting his ladies and there babies wild life everywhere now I'm building a log cabin from the trees on property never been happier
Because they ARE empty. If everyone spent time in deep wilderness, there would be no deep wilderness left. They would destroy it.
epic guy
It’s becoz they feel they are not needed by anyone, even if they vanish right now, nobody is going to care. It’s the emptiness inside them.
Before cities we once lived in the wilderness.

I only need money to keep a roof over my head, everything else is a blessing
gonna go touch grass now
The holly and the ivy.
A guy called Winnie says that in one of his reports about his near death experience.
Sounds good on paper.
Damn. Daniel's beard got LONG
Mostly on the money
I don’t feel empty. Thanks anyway.
Did killing God and leaving Christianity have anything to do with the emptynes that people feel...
I mean, I kept trying to find Him and He would never answer me so after years and years I had no choice but to move on
Good question. Yes, it does have a lot!
Being that it's the largest religion on the planet, I don't think you know what you're talking about 😂
Bipolar is a myth
How? I’ve met a few and it dosent seem to be. But it can be misdiagnosed as I know adhd emotions can be confuse d with it if you don’t know how to differentiate executive function emotional regulation issues from a mood disorder where mood is not congruent to context then it’s confused
My life is amazing today, compared to the first 26 years of it. Wife, beautiful healthy children, prosperous career and investment portfolio. Home will always be alone, deep in a forest, fasted, talking with God.
Nature deficiency symptom I've been saying this is what is wrong with humanity for years.
This can all be summed up in two sentences. Destroy your tv and touch grass. Too many people live through their tv and social media. The only thing that has risen in the last 70 years is the invention of the tv and social media. Not a coincidence that depression has risen to the level it has in that same time span.
geeze, didn't know Mark is such a snack.

I’m a vegan and must admit that I’m not a foodie type and my idea of a healthy food is throwing some tofu in the pan and add some rice to it and eat it and hope that I’m not gonna develop micro nutrient deficiency
And because my tastebuds are so badly served by me
My only hope is to add as much salt as possible to my pathetic vegan diet
And without salt I would starve to death
Because I simply cannot cook a tasty meal
Long live salt 🧂
humans can for the most part dont engage in productive solitude
Very true whats being said here. But at its core, nihilism is the biggest problem of our time. And the internet let it grow
I definitely believe his beard

Is this by the After Skool people?

Humans have no clue as to what we are.
Have to develop a relationship with Yeshau🙏🏾🙏🏾
True, but it's impractical and impossible for most of humanity to go back living the lifestyles of hunter and gathers and cavemen.
I feel like i have always known this..even before smartphones..most people look at me as if I'm mad when I warn them of the dangers of automation..automation..automation..aahh fuck I'm being digitized.
can't fix it without fixing the currency start using Monero
Oversocialization. Over-civilization. Just promote scouting, survival, tourism and maybe hermitism - problem solved.
Because most of already have woken up from this false reality.
