    *A quiet **Generater.Systems** , love the dual fuel capabilities, camper is 50 amp but the adapter helps and found it still handles the load. Haven't taken a camping trip yet, that's in a couple of weeks. Will see how well it does over a long weekend.*

    I've had this now for about 6 months in a camper van I built for traveling. It works great and I measured to make sure it fits between the front seats of my e150 van and it fits perfectly with just a little space on each side. I plug mine into a cigarette lighter that is part of one of those 5 gang switches popular in camper vans and its fed by a pretty substantial solar system (300 watt solar array, renogy 50amp dc to dc mptt controller, 2000 amp inverter, and a 300 ah solar battery). I've been on numerous trips this fall and even on multiple overcast days in a row boondocking, its not too taxing on the solar system even though its the highest usage electrical item I have. Its very efficient. I'm also in the process of building an overland rig from a jeep wrangler jku and plan to just swap this iceco fridge between it and the camper van .... I'm only on paper with this idea and haven't figured out where I am putting it yet (it will fit in the rear behind the seats but I would prefer if it fits on the floor in front of the rear seats ... time will tell lol)

    I own the JP50 and it has worked great on my WeeRoll cargo build. Low consumption on eco mode. Cools down in 30 minutes if run on regular mode and then switch to eco. Love the included cover and additional power cords. Ran mine at 33 degrees for fridge. The best compressor. I highly recommend. I paid only $475 shipped. Got in on a deal with Bob Wells.

    Based on your review and others I bought a JP50. We took it on a two-week trip to Oregon and it worked great. We put it between the seats in our van and had it on freezer mode, we had another ice cooler for refrigerated food, we kept drinks in the top compartment it did not freeze them but they were plenty cold, we also froze bottles of water for our cooler and that was just right about the time the ice thawed in the cooler the ICECO had frozen new bottles to replace them.

    Another good and informative video. I've debated on purchasing a 12 volt refrigerator, but really not sure if I really need one yet. Would definitely be convenient if just traveling in my truck with just the camper shell on, but otherwise I'm travelling with my slide-in camper or fifth wheel both of course with refrigerators. Have a great week.

    Great review! I have narrowed my choice of refrigerators to the Iceco or the Truck Fridge. The Truck Fridge has more storage but not much of a freezer area. However it was designed for truckers and tested by truckers so choosing between the two is going to be a challenge. I am leaning towards the Iceco though!! Lol

    After letting my new JP50 sit for 24 hours after delivery, as recommended by the manufacturer... it has a really annoying high pitch sound from the compressor area. Contacted Iceco, sent them a video and they are sending me a replacement. Happy with customer service, yes... but quality control should have addressed this before packaging the fridge up. A few other users have had this issue, but from my conversations over the phone with Iceco, they say this has never happened. The 12v cigarette plug also doesn't like any of the six outlets I've plugged into. The connection is extremely loose. Again, this also is an ongoing issue that many Iceco customers have had with this particular connector. I'll update my comment if and when the replacement arrives. Fingers crossed 🤞

      I don't have test results for higher temperatures like that, but it could use twice as much power, or 26WH per hour, easily. The long extension cord used about .5 volt more power.

    • @gonagain

      Got it! We keep it in the trailer because of the roof mounted solar. The drawback is that it gets a rough ride back there sometimes. I have it sitting on several thick foam pads and in the nose of the trailer, hoping that helps.

    I'm going with either the jp 40 or the jp50. What I witless like to know is how long can the jp50 run on that Jackery 1000 if it's fully charged? I've heard everything from a week to just a few days.

    • @gonagain
      @gonagain  4 года назад +1

      Hello Ryan, my JP50 averages about 13 watt per hour of use, but this will vary according to how hot the ambient temperature is. You'll get about 900WH from a fully charged Jackery 1000 and that would get you about three days.
