Within a 150 miles of me, there are only 8 Used Indian Scouts for sale, all asking for 1-2 grand less than a new model. I'm know nothing about the Motorcycle market, but this does say to me, this has be good bike, owners are not parting with them and hanging on to them.

Had a scout for a couple of years, still to this day it's one of my favorite bikes I've ever owned. I went to a larger bike because (as stated in the video) if you're going to do longer rides/trips, the scout can be a little small/lacking. And I came to that conclusion after riding my Scout from Utah down to San Diego and back over 5 days. Now don't get me wrong, I've gone farther on much lesser bikes. the scout has amazing power for it's size and is second to none on the looks. I'm just not in my 20's anymore and can afford bikes set up for longer rides now lol. But to this day, this bike remains one of the coolest most fun bikes I've ever owned and plan to get another one when I have the extra room and money.

I really enjoyed your video. I like your real world reaction to how this bike feels. I haven't ridden a bike in around 23 years, so I had some catching up to do. I had picked up a brand new 2022 Scout classic just last Friday (August 12th). I'm use to riding dirt bikes and dual sports, so it took some adjusting to get use to this bike. The fit and feel is as though this bike was specifically designed for me. I'm 5'8" and I have put on a bit of extra weight. I definitely had to get use to the forward controls, I'm use to having them directly in line with my hips.
I love how indian had designed this bike. Every time that I get on it to ride I have a smile on my face. I also get a lot of looks from people either in parking lots or passing by because the Scout is truly a good looking bike.

I have a ‘20 Bobber in Bronze w ABS, and the Indian OEM 2-into-one exhaust w OEM performance intake and factory upgraded tune for those. Absolutely love it.
A little surprised you find the original seat comfortable - maybe you haven’t had enough time on it yet. A lot of people did the seat very uncomfortable as I did. Indian sells an OEM “ comfort seat” for this bike and it looks similar to the original but a little wider and taller at the tailbone and WAAAAAY more comfortable. Reasonably priced too and made a huge difference.
The bike gets looks and compliments every time I ride. The power and smoothness of the transmission are tremendous. Best bike I’ve ever owned. As far as cruise control, I added an Atlas Throttle lock which works great. Also added a National Cycle Deflector wind screen which is low profile, quick disconnect and not obtrusive looking or detracting from the look of the bike but a big difference on sustained highway speed rides.

    • @itsmeericb

I have an identical bike 2020. Same slip ons, I put on a mustang seat for comfort. It’s a fun machine. Got it new. 11k miles in. 0 issues. I can only ride it for 1hr 30 mins on the highway non stop before my sciatica pain starts hitting me. Seating position becomes uncomfortable for those long rides. Stock seat sucked IMO, hard as a rock. I always get compliments on it.

The standard (base model) Scouts don't have ABS but there are ABS versions (+1k). None of them have ride modes, cruise control, or any tech beyond a USB power port on the right of the speedo. Really early models (2018 or so) didn't have the USB as a stock option but it could be added later. The FTR and most of the other Indian cruisers have a bunch of tech. The rumor is that they will be updating the Scout line maybe next year with the digital touchscreen gauges, ride modes, and CC but nothing has been announced.

I had a scout and sportster.
If you are a sportbike guy, don't bother with the harley. Go with the indian, sence it is a liquid cooled vtwin you will get the smother feel and the vibration is minimal.
the absolute truth about the scout is if a ducati V2 got converted to a cruiser this is it. (Minus 45hp) the frame is engine mounted and it's a 2 piece. (same as ducati)
The fuel economy I got was 45 /55 and the transmission oil both shared the same as engine at 15w60. There is no fuel guage and you fill up every 125 miles.
With the scout exhaust it's also cut out plugged. Which means that you can cut out the 2 plugs on each muffler and it will turn into a slip on w/1 cat. Or you can leave 1 plug in and it will give it a little more tone.
