Thanks Felix. I watched this video with my youngest grandson (9y.o.) and we then went out and were joined by my next oldest grandson (13y.o) and with some help each carved a spoon, never having ever carved anything before. Your video is brilliant, clear and good, full of safe practices and with plenty of encouragement to get out and make something. Thank you for a brilliant afternoon with my two grandsons. Their mother will be very surprised tomorrow! Les in UK 🇬🇧
This is fantastic! Easily one of the more achievable, creative and useful bushcraft carving projects on RUclips. BIG thanks Felix, really enjoy your content!
I learned much, was inspired and relaxed at same time! The reality of the birds chirping and the talent and hard work, well hard fun was eye and heart opening.....!!

Hallo Felix.
@@FelixImmler I love your projects I even bought your book whittling in the wild as for carving spoons I has a hook knife and a gouge is razor sharp Can be used by hand to carve bowl of spoons but I modified the big flat screwdriver into a gouge I use that if I’m out hiking and foraging for wood and deer antlers 🍀👍🦊🐾🇮🇹
Just last week I bought a new Swiss Army knife, my third in the last twenty-five years. I've used my older ones for multiple tasks, both at home and at work. A few days ago, I discovered your channel and have found even more uses. Thanks for the great tips and demonstration of new techniques. I've never subscribed to a RUclips channel so quickly before. Your channel is one of the best accessories I've ever found my knife collection.

Plenty of hazel wood near my house and I’ve got my trusty Swiss Army knife looking forward in making our cutlery. Thanks for sharing ciao

Very impressive just found your channel and I’ve been packing a Swiss Army knife for 34yrs and I’m amazed how much your using it for keep up the outstanding videos 👍💪
Very nicely done. A typical mistake beginners make is to carve a very deep bowl so the spoon’s difficult to eat from. More like a ladle! This way of measuring the size and where to cut is very useful. Also seeing you carefully make the ‘stop cuts’ around the mouthpiece to prevent the wood from breaking out there.
Hi Felix,, just to let you know you're books have kept me busy... Just finish thrill whistle also tin can whistle ,also candle and coal pencil for the children... Cheers keep up the good work..
Hello Felix, I have always wanted to make a wooden knife and fork. Now, I have watched you and I will definitely have a go. I know it won't be perfect the first time but I am sure it will get better. You are a good teacher! Thank you.
Servus Felix!

Felix, amazing work as always! I was wondering if the chisel found in the SwissChamp wouldn't be absolutely ideal for carving the spoon's mouthpiece. What do you think? I'll try it this weekend.
I have tried it, it works. But the Swiss Champ, you have to break it from my cold, dead Hands someday, is a bit to bulky for this kind of fine Task permanently.
