I will leave an affiliate link below:

Thank you so much for WATCHing my video and I hope that you check out all my other content.
I release 3 videos per week, all watch related, including reviews, first impressions and general watch related topics.
I try very hard to diversify my content as well and will feature big known watch brands, microbrands as well as Aliexpress watches.
The majority of the watches I feature are in the affordable range but I do try and get some less affordable watches as well.
Most of the watches that I feature I have bought with my own money. I buy them to enjoy and wear but I also to feature them on this channel.
Being a smaller channel it is challenging to cover the cost of all the watches that I buy and partly because of this I have become an affiliate member with a number of companies including Aliexpress, Ashford.com and Jomashop.
If you are looking for watches from well known brands then it is worth checking out:
    www.ashford.com
    www.jomashop.com
As an affiliate member I may leave affiliate links in the descriptions of videos. These links will direct you to the watches that I’ve experienced, reviewed and would certainly recommend. If you choose to use those links I will earn a very small commission.
Thank you very much if you choose to use those links.
Below are affiliate links for my absolute favorite watches on Aliexpress. Each of them I have owned and had positive experiences with the stores that they are linked to.

I have admired the look of the Bulova Hack for some time. It looks like the first watch I was given as a child. I wish Bulova made a version that was manual wind only. The case could then be thinner and it would be closer to the original design specification.

    • @WATCHingJames

I agree. This style suits manual wind only and would be helpful to slim it down a bit.

The price is a reflection of the brand....when you look at value this falls into the heart over head category for me....like you I do love a good field watch, my favourite are cwc....this is a good watch but with a couple of minor tweeks it could be amazing, of course with Bulova tweeks will equal a price hike and you'll still be left with the same value quandary....all that said, I'd be happy to have one as part of my collection....🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⌚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⌚

It'd be nice to see the timegrapher readings in more than one position (dial up and crown up, perhaps?) - that's what really tells you how consistent the movement is :)
I really appreciate the video. Most reviews seem to always picture this one as a cheaper version of the Hamilton Khaki, but you really shone some different light on it. Thanks again!

So if it wasn't over-priced and it wasn't a bargain, doesn't that mean it was correctly priced, especially for a watch that can trace back to actual WW2 military watches? To me, Bulova's line of lower cost, vintage inspired military watches is roughly equivalent to the "Basic" line of flinger watches from Laco. In both cases, the watches aren't the absolute cheapest available, but they are reasonably priced and from companies with history that dates period from which their watches take inspiration.

No, you shouldn't. I have one. I LOVE the face, and I really really wanted to love the watch, but its just too freaking tall to be a useful field/tool watch. It doesn't slip under shirt/uniform wrists at all. If you're in a hands-on occupation, it will bang into things and catch on things because its so tall. Maybe if it were a pure mech it would work, but as it stands, its just way too tall on the wrist to be a functional field watch.

@@WATCHingJames I hear you friend, there’s no excuse for such weak water resistance in 2023 at that price point though NON. When I was looking for a field watch I happened across the Bulova and it looked to be exactly what I was looking for then I saw the 3 bar WR rating and pulled my finger off the button. Damn shame. Bulova could easily upgrade the WR rating for literally mere pennies to say 100 meters WR with little to no price increase. Why they don’t do this and why they didn’t do this in the first place is anyone’s guess. Not doing so has cost them a lot of sales in my opinion.

I am an Amazon FBA seller and you will be surprised at how creative people are getting with counterfeits. And the Amazon workers who work at the warehouses for $16 an hour are not going to care to verify its authenticity they don’t get paid enough. Spend a little more and get it from the original manufacturer. Buy once cry once that’s my motto.
