Of all people, Scorpia is the one who deserves an apology, because she was the one who stood by her side the most after Adora left, even when Catra treated everybody around her like trash. It’s sad when even the nicest person in your life finally gives up on you.

@@clownlesbian503 Try to take a step back and ask yourself: Why are you siding with a malicious, unrepenting, repeated massmurderer? Sure there are reasons why she is like that, those reasons are what makes the show so good, we get to see it, but just because we get to understand why somebody commited horrendous crimes, doesn't meant they shouldn't be punished for those crimes. All criminals has their reasons.

There's one step you forgot to mention. As much as we all know Scorpia would be delighted to reunite with Catra, she also won't let herself do it until Catra's banishment of Entrapta is resolved. That was the deal breaker for her, after all.

If the redemption is gonna happen it’s happen in season 5 after her lowest point and hearing what double trouble said to her. Scorpia figures out why Catra went crazier when she saw shadow weaver with the rebellion 🦂 🐈

In a way, I do think that Glimmer and Catra, despite going in a downwards spiral, could actually help eachother. Like Glimmer could perhaps help Catra see why it's good to be open about your emotions, and Catra could show Glimmer why power isn't all it's cracked up to be, since while Glimmer is heading down that power hungry road, Catra has been down it, and is starting to regret it. As for Scorpia, as much as it is very out of her character, I'd like to see Scorpia lose her cool with Catra. Like even when Scorpia came to realise that Catra wasn't a good friend, she still remained civil, simply saying 'your'e a bad friend' and then left. I think that Scorpia finally losing it and yelling at Catra would strike a chord with Catra, especially since arguably, Scorpia thought higher of Catra, than Adora thought of her. Plus, that could pave the way for Scorpia and Catra becoming friends again, and I think that someone like Scorpia could definitely help Catra. Since Scorpia was always the one who cared for Catra, stuck by her side, and treated her like she was amazing. Which considering that Catra has an inferiority complex, she does need.
Yes I agree but with season 5 coming at a very fast rate it could be possible. But could her relationship with adora be fixed. I really don’t know. But if it does it’s gonna take a lot.
i think part of the reason why catra saved sparkles was bc catra and sparkles were going down the same path and she could see that. she wanted to save glimmer from going too far like she did.

What I want before catra gets a redemption arc I want scorpia to realize how abusive catra was to her and for catra to apologize for her actions because catra was so horrible to scorpia and I can’t justify her getting redemption without trying to mend her relationship with scorpia
I could see her redemption arch rivaling that of Zuko if it is handled well. Zuko’s journey took the entire series to play out and it looks like Catra’s story is being handled with the same kind of care up till now.

I don't think so. Catra knowingly tried to destroy the planet. she's beyond redemption, she well pass the Morale event horizon. Not everyone deserve a redemption. Catra is one who don't. Zuko never got that far in villainy, not even close.

Double Trouble was the ABSOLUTE MVP of this season, I adore every second they were on screen~
At the end of the new season, I was thinking that Catra was about to be redeemed because she started to realise her mistakes of pushing people way but I was so god dam wrong.
I feel like Adora will somehow still be able to turn into She Ra? We saw the sword get destroyed but I didn’t see the runestone get destroyed with it. Madam Razz also said to Mara, “She Ra is not the sword. She Ra is you.” So it should also apply to Adora.
What I want it for Catra to be redeemed to show that having a mental illness (she shows several signs of having BPD) doesn't make you a bad person and you are not held 100 per cent responsible for things you did during an episode (it was clear she was having an episode when she opened that portal). So, while Catra does hold responsibility for all the horrible things she did and has a long way to go, she does deserve a chance to be forgiven. Maybe things we'll never be as they were but after everything she's been through, she does deserve some rest. Catra is an abuse survivor, who spent her whole life not feeling safe or loved by anyone (expect Adora on some occasions) and no one deserves to die like that, especially a kid. As for Catradora, I don't think that right now the have a chance but maybe in a future that we sadly won't get to see, their romantic feelings about each other will blossom again. What I don't want is for her to entirely get rid of her BPD. While disorders like this can get better when you are in a trusting and loving environment and surrounded by supportive people, its something that never goes away and as I said before, It doesn't necessarily make you a bad person. Mentally ill people are not evil. I am not saying that a mentally ill person +cant+ be evil but their illness isn't the source of that.

It seems hard to believe Catra could truly be redeemed, given the scope of her crimes, which she seems to top with every season:
In Season 1, "Promise" sees Catra leaving Adora to die. Catra tells Adora she was tired of being in her shadow, even after going through all the memories of their time as childhood friends.
Still, as bad as that was....
In Season 2, Catra proves capable of worse in "Ties That Bind", where she spends her half of the plot hurting and manipulating Glimmer and Bow, playing them like fiddles and devastating them emotionally (especially Glimmer). All while having the biggest grin on her face. But as bad as that was...
Again, she tops herself in season 3: lying to Hordak that Entrapta betrayed them to the Alliance and getting Entrapta dragged off to Beast Island (the very fate Entrapta saved Catra from) out of jealousy. And as bad as THAT was...
...her willingness to destroy all of existence simply so she could prove herself superior to Adora would, to most, be unforgivable. The loss of Angella in order to stop reality from collapsing only clinches it. Adora definitely believes this is where Catra becomes beyond redemption, given the death glare she gives her "friend" after the battle is over.
And Catra's punishment began in Season 4. She lost everything. Everyone. She was mentally broken. She doesn't care anymore, when Glimmer approached her. Her redemption started with saving Glimmer.
Catra’s body language in season 4, specifically her ears are interesting for me. I pay attention to body language often since the truth is described there, I’m no certified body language analysis but there’s obvious truth behind her actions. When she trapped Adora in that electrocute thing, Adora said something like “Too many people got hurt when you set off that portal.” Followed by Catra scowling, often indicating disgust as well as a noise which I do not know how to describe. It could either be from her being called out from almost destroying reality, or disgust from her own actions. Her pupils also move which I do not know what that could’ve indicated, possibly shock or fear based on what the show uses that movement of the eyes. Also the fact that when she electrocuted Entrapta she showed instant regret, but didn’t let her walls down and sent her to Beast Island. With obvious evidence she regrets that from the nightmares she got. I’m not sure if the Nightmare scene was before her going Shadow Weaver mode on Adora or not. Either way body language in this show speaks miles.

I just hope they let Catra's redemption arc *breathe*, and not rush it due to a shortage of episodes or whatever. They let her fall apart so slowly; her recovery should be equally subtle and deliberate. And who doesn't want another four seasons of She-ra, lol
Everyone knows Catra's getting redeemed. The real question is, now that Micah's back, will Shadow Weaver get redeemed? I personally think so. No, she doesn't deserve it. No, redemption doesn't mean I support her abuse. But I still want it anyway because that's why it's so powerful. Undeserved grace combined with change is lovely.
I want her to be like a typical conservative borderline abusive grandma. The kind that treated her kids like shit but when grew older just didn't fucking care about being mean 100% of the time anymore and now her family tolerates her lmao.

On one hand I feel that Redemption through Death would be the ONLY way Catra could redeem herself, but since they (probably) won’t kill her she’ll either give some hidden help to Adora and the princess during the final episodes,
or even leave Etheria and explore the universe after Horde Prime’s defeat in a ship or escape pod and go on a Journey of self discovery to realize who she truly is before ever having the gall to come back and see Scorpia or even Adora again and genuinely apologize to everyone she’s hurt to try and achieve that ended up ultimately meaningless.
And as much as I love Catradora to be Endgame I clearly understand not happening Canon wise, (least there’s the Fandom to help that pain and even then, after Catra seriously gets some Goddamn therapy!!! Like Damnit!!!😡
I still have hope against ALL odds - that Catradora will become C.A.N.O.N. 💞

It would actually be okay even without a redemption, I loved the genuinity of the end of the third season, like “you don’t deserve my patient”, but sure if they would handle well the situation and put an end to Catra’s issues I would be more that glad.

That's what I'm hoping for! I think she needs to apologize after her self discovery and tell Adora that she finally heard what she was saying. But they're in different spots in life now and don't need to be friends anymore to be happy and healthy.
If Catra acknowledges that she causes problems and drives people away, maybe she can redeem herself, but she’s beyond redemption at this point. She tried to destroy the universe in one episode. But hey if you can redeem the Diamonds you can redeem Catra I guess

Your statement is confusing me can you clarify? You said she needs to show remorse and self reflection to be redeem herself but that she's beyond it, are you saying that you think she just won't do these things? I would disagree with you heavily on that, I think the whole point of the double trouble thing was to force her to do that after she'd been shoving it away. But we won't know what the writers do until they do so you can't say she's beyond redeeming or even that she will be redeemed point blank.
If you mean you personally think she's beyond redeeming, like she can do those things and you still wouldn't like it, then I'm not gonna argue with you. That's your own feelings. Just trying to understand.
Catra's arc was painful. I never want to see another character go through what she did.
Catra is straight bluffing here, because all that she knows is that there is a weapon. It was likely just her trying to stall for glimmer
I just love to hate Catra too much to see her redeemed.
But a better question, will Hordak get back to his girl Entrapta?
I suspect the Princesses will crucially need Entrapta to defeat Horde Prime (probably by getting the Heart of Etheria to work properly), and Entrapta agrees on the condition somebody goes and rescues Hordak. Which nobody will want to do, but they don't have a choice.

one of the reasons why i dont fully support redemtion is because i am worried that the writers will f up and wipe away seasons of development. idk why but i just think that 1 season is just too short of a time to properly do a convincing redemption, even though i think that is ludicrous in the back of my head.

I feel like if the writers show how you don’t have to be with people that hurt you I feel like they might use Scorpia. So soon after she arrived in the rebellion she made friends with Frosta, it can be seen as an exit. I know Scorpia would forgive Catra but she may be like “I can’t stay with you, not yet. I’m gonna need some time. I forgive you for hurting me, but I still have stuff to work out.” Scorpia suffered far more emotional damage from Catra. Adora suffered more from the way she grew up and Shadow weaver than she did Catra. Idk I just felt like for whatever reason Scorpia will need lots of time away from Catra.

I feel like if Catra could save Adora and genuinely apologize, Adora could consider forgiveness. But I also think Micah, Bow, and the princesses except for Glimmer would be wary. I very much agree that Catra's redemption arc will play out similarly to Shadow Weaver's, causing more tension between Adora and Glimmer. However, like I mentioned before, a genuine apology and a save from death could get Adora on that path to a tiny bit of trust and start bringing Adora and Glimmer back together. But I do believe that if Double Trouble returns and Catra has to work with the princesses, Catra will not forgive them due to the wounds of their betrayal still being fresh. Catra's starting to see the errors of her ways with the first people she lost (Scorpia, Adora, Shadow Weaver. I know Scorpia was really recent but Catra really liked her company and her displayed feelings after she left were similar to that of when Adora left) so I think she'll find it easier to try and make up with them.
Also, I can't wait to see more of Horde Prime. His extra eyes are creepy as hell but I love his attitude. He's a sinister gentleman and I love it.
Another thing: Just think if Hordak never tried to take over Etheria but it somehow got out of Despondos and Horde Prime came. He would probably be in an alliance with the Princesses or leave them alone, based on what we saw in the finale with him apologizing for Hordak and talking about peace and stuff. The only reason he wanted Etheria gone was because of the embarrassment that is Hordak.
Shadow Weaver hadn't had anything resembling a redemption arc. Do you mean she'll be in brightmoon the same way Shadow Weaver has, captive but still allowed to talk to people and mend relationships if she wants to? I can definitely see that happening.

She has yet to actually apologize for anything she's ever done to Glimmer or Adora or Catra or show a bit of remorse for it like you said.
She's not a straight up maniac though, she doesn't have some grand plan she has to apologize for. She's just not a good person ultimately y'know? But she's not an *evil* person the way Horde Prime clearly is.
I guess we'll see what we're supposed to be feeling about her next season! Depending on how they have her and Micah interact and how Adora and her interact now that Glimmer isn't here anymore. I think that'll make it more clear what the writers want to be doing with her ^^ whether we're supposed to be reading it as a very very soft redemption where she's not in prison and is just allowed to wander and be kind of creepy but not evil, or if she's gonna be actively punished.

@@47ratsinahoodie I never even thought about the double trouble comparison but yeah! She's very much like them in the regard of survival and even in relishing in causing harm. I think double trouble is way more into causing chaos as well though where shadow weaver just wants to keep the side she's on winning, like you said.
I don't see Adora letting Shadow Weaver help her but you never know. The shows done a lot of stuff I could never imagine happening! And if Catra ever makes her way back there there's also no way Shadow Weaver gets away with not showing remorse or apologizing to anyone anymore either I think.
I think she's gonna partially blame Shadow Weaver but she'll do what she has to in order to save Glimmer. But now we're just crafting theories lol.
I'm crossing my fingers for that to be possible.
since Adora lost her sword, Catra will more likely feel she´s on equal footing now that they both lost their powers, Adora with She-Ra and Catra with the horde. hopefully, they´ll start building their relationship, not as best friends but atleast have a trust between them.

I used to have some sympathy for her, but she has herself to blame at this point IMO.
Likely or not, I really think it is super important to have an at least semi-redemption arc. Like, I doubt she will ever be a wonderful, perfect person, but maybe she will be civil enough to help defeat Horde Prime. If someone's abuser (Shadow Weaver) gets a second chance then the formerly abused needs it too. I think where she was left at the end of season 4 leaves room for a change, not to be perfect but to be *better*.

Hate to break it to you, but shippers have been vying for a Catra Redemption since Episode 2. They want their Catadora so Catra will be redeemed.
At the end of the last season, Catra had crossed a line. Now, she’s been confronted with her mistakes and has been given an all too easy path of redemption... with the caveat of keeping up her current bluff, on a much bigger scale. Glimmer’s gonna be the one who works with her and they find a common reason to work together.
One more thing: The Stone will find its way back to Adora and Adora’s getting a new sword.
Even though I love Catra as my 5th favorite character, I personally hope she'll get a redemption arc which ends via heroic sacrifice with her last words being "Hey Adora".
At the moment, I just can't see any better way for her character to end.

I agree but if you think that no one in this show got punished for their crimes when they turned back to the good side (Shadow Weaver, Scorpia, Entrapta..) it would unfair and wrong for Catra to be the only one to pay, especially because she's an abused and mentally ill kid and in today's society, kids like that go to mental facilities, not to prison.
While watching the show I did noticed that both Glimmer and Catra do have some similarities. Especially with Catra opening the portal and Glimmer using Etheria as a planet they both thought they were doing what was the best thing even if it put everyone at risk. Also the fact that both those similar acts are what helped Horde Prime find them is another similarity. They do a similar action but the thing that drives their motivation for the action is different

I don't know man, even though they do have some similarities, they have a far too different way of processing emotions and junk. Like the thing is, Azula doesn't have a sense of guilt, she doesn't care who she has to hurt, as long as she gets what she wants. Therefore, she never had a redemption arc. I mean, how can you change as a person, when you don't see anything wrong with how you're acting, and you don't feel bad about it? Catra on the other hand, she's not rising to power or hurting people because she wants to. She's doing it to prove Adora wrong, and to be like 'oh, I'm doing great because you're not here' Azula doesn't care what people think of her, I'd arguably say that Azula has a superiority complex. Catra on the other hand, not only shows regret when she hurts people, but she also cares what people think of her, also she has an inferiority complex. All those things make her redeemable, especially since she's starting to accept that there is a problem. Azula was far too gone to have a hope at being redeemed, Catra at least, show's regret, and is starting to see why she needs to change, which makes her redeemable.
Yeah, Catra and Azula have much in common. They both hit rock bottom, but we'll now get to see how that goes moving forward.

A tiny part of me hoped for her Redemption. And as season 3 and season 4 went on, I was starting to think it would not be possible. But given how season 4 ends, I think their actually might be a chance.

Honestly, Catra should of lost that final battle against Hordak.
They are making it like Catra just can't lose in a one v one fight when going up against anyone except Shera.
I love Catra but, Hordak should of won, right as he's about to finish her off, they could of made it so that he noticed that ceiling crumbling, as he was distracted, Catra kicked him directly under the falling ceiling and then it lands on him, ending the fight.

I agree but i won't really avoid the fact that he has an exo-skeleton. His body is weak. I doubt that he trained himself to be stronger or so. While i do agree that his stand should be longer (because yes he got k.o'd way to fast) i doubt that he would win the fight. Catra knows his weakness, catra has agility and speed and she has been trained. Hordak was mostly more a person who was dangerous by looks but not really by a punch.

Double Trouble is confusing to be honest. Like I do appreciate that they were the one who basically broke down Catra, but at the same time, why? Double Trouble didn't have any reason to do that, and considering that they said that they only care about money, calling someone out doesn't make sense. That's usually only something you do if you care about someone, not someone you only work with.

Literally everyone in the Horde went through abuse but that doesn't excuse their behavior and it doesn't excuse Catra's. She doesn't deserve redemption. She's a terrible person. She treats everyone around her like dirt, even the people who love her. She almost destroyed everything because she got salty and jealous over Adora. She thinks everyone is leaving her for no reason when in reality it's because of her heinous nature. She was lucky enough to have Scoripa as her friend for as long as she did but she didn't deserve that and again, she doesn't deserve redemption.
Catra reminds me of Octavia from The 100, shes going too see her mistakes face too face and have too fight her bad self and then when that’s over she’s gonna need earn her redemption.

I think it's nice that Catra got an redemption arc but I didn't like how easily Scorpia and the others forgave her given all she's done. After all, Angella is basically "dead" because of Catra.

I think Catra is plotting to end the war by taking over the Horde armada! She conspired against Shadow Weaver and got her exiled from the horde, to become Hordak's second in command, and she nearly killed Hodak! And now, she's slowly setting herself up to eventually overthow Lord Prime! Catra's redemption is gonna come in the form of pretending to be the bad guy, all the while, betraying the Horde to protect Adora and the Princesses!

that Hordak would use that second purple crystal thing he found during a later fight with Catra, since he found it right after she ripped out the one his suit already had to show that she could beat him in a fight

My personal hope is that Adora and Scorpia end up as a thing, what with both trying to help Catra only to get burned. As for Catra, my money is on her making some noble sacrifice near the end to save either everyone, a lot of people, or Adora/Scorpia.

It is a strongly implied plot point that no one actually died in all those battles, otherwise no one would ever forgive Catra or Hordak. In a real world, Catra would not so easily be redeemed...Mass Murders tend not to be welcomed back with a hug.
