Ever since I decided to join, I’ve been running and doing push-ups/sit-ups. My stats right now are:
1.5 mi run- 13:00
Sit ups: 33
Push ups: 25
Not too bad but want to be at the top!
Currently talking to a recruiter and getting all my paper work done!!!
How long did it take you to get there?
I have 3.5 years till I’m old enough to join but I’m definitely starting to train now

I'm 16 F and thinking about joining.
This is so inspiring for me. I’m a couch potato with a very sedentary lifestyle. I want to join the Air Force in a few years after I graduate from college. Because of how out of shape I am, I’ve been having doubts about making it to the Air Force. It’s hard for me to imagine my lifestyle changing so drastically to where I’m active and exercising often. This video made me realize that I’m not alone, and it gives me a lot of confidence and motivation. I’m so happy for you and your successful fitness journey. Thank you for making this video. It’s truly eye-opening for me ☺️

This is extremely uplifting. My first run time was like 18 minutes too and that was really rough to have to face. I've gotten it better now but progress is slow. Thank you for this video ❤️♥️

I was training for the Marines but switched branches so I’m good on the sit ups, push ups and stuff like that. But running I’ve got a ways to go 😆
This was super encouraging, I'm very lucky that I played soccer and volleyball in high school and soccer was more intense than BMT PT tbh (we had to take 10 big steps and then do 10 pushups all the way around our track twice which was a 1/2 mile of trying to do that in GA weather, plus running 2-3 miles, suicides, hella core training, etc.), I'm 20 now and haven't really exercised but the first time I did a mile and a half at the gym I was able to do it in about 12-13 minutes which I'm 6'0 so I just got big strides lol, but my pushups are PATHETIC I can only do like 5 so that's where I'm really working at plus my core. As far as my recruiter told me I should ship around October or November (he's waiting for my specific job contract for linguist and covid isn't making anything easier time wise), hopefully I can be in the best shape possible before I ship
I’ve been following you from the very beginning! I admire you very much. You remind of every time I cross your RUclips of what I could have and be. I’ve wanted to join since I came out of high school and took the test 3 times and failed and now I feel kind of defended. Good luck girl and stay safe

Very informative, I am in the same boat right now as you once were😭 I haven’t got a ship date yet but right now I am in the process of going to meps and I hope that I prepare myself enough to pass the standards 😭... push-ups are my downfall tbh. How many were you able to do once you graduated?
I can relate sooo much whenever you were talking about never been an “athletic” person. I am wanting to join & loosing weight & exercise is my main concern…I guess I just don’t know where to start.

What do you think of the 1 by 3 program for people who are cruddy at pushups? Like take your one minute max of pushups and do a 1/3 of them 3x a day daily?

I was supposed to ship out in two months. I was going to the gym everyday before they closed. But I’ve let myself go a little. Any advice to help get in shape in like two months?
MiKyla Brix I’m currently working out to get in shape for BMT. I recommend looking into Chloe Ting and her videos. Her blog, www.chloeting.com/program/ has workout programs that focus on core, arms, legs, booty, etc. you can also look at #chloetingchallenge to see videos of those who have done her program and their results (these definitely helped motivate me). Hope this help.

For those including myself leaving for BMT soon or enlisting soon.There is no more Get fit program at BMT.They got sick of people with that mindset going and no making it.So be prepared! I'm working on push ups and sit ups so any tips I'd appreciate it. :D

All I read online was that BMT is now 7 weeks long. Not 8.5 like it was normally.

@@nuriaxlopez the seven week program is after the two week quarantine period. Pt is still a daily requirement, since there is no family graduations the eight week has been eliminated so graduation is Friday of the seventh week and the new airmen leave directly to Tech school. My son just finish BMT and told me about the changes. Gob Bless all of you that serve this country.
@@amrynlee there is PT but there is no Get Fit program anymore for those who couldn't pass the PT test.
@@nuriaxlopez that is true.2 week quarantine then 5.5 weeks of training according to my recruiter.
Can you still get in if your under the minimum weight. I have a very fast metabolism and I’ve never been their minimum weight in my life no matter how much I ate.
My brother was the same way and he started taking weight gain protein shakes twice a day and would eat a lot in a day and gained a lot of weight and turned it into muscle
@@tiredol2851 Im gonna try that out thank you! I recently saw this recommended video on youtube on how to make a 1,000 calorie shake. i think its a sign since you replied lol .im going watch it and work out so it can turn into muscle and stick on me.
How you do 38 pushups in a minute ? And how many sit ups again in a minute??
My last test I did 55 sit ups. Practice, practice, practice!
