Laci, what about buying condos, not as your primary residence, it’s strictly for investment such as renting them out daily, weekends, and weekly? First of all, is it allowed and what are the requirements? Can you purchase them as a c-corp entity?
Hey there! Thank you for such great questions. To be honest, there are many variables and factors at play here. In order to look your options and such, I'd advise we speak to you over the phone. I can have one of my team members reach out ASAP if you could please connect with us here: bit.ly/LVGRealEstate. Looking forward to connecting!
In my opinion, buying a property for STR is a bad idea. That property should be able to turn a profit as a regular rental before even thinking of going the STR route. Rules and laws can and most cases do change. Like we seen here in Vegas.
Hey Jorge! We totally appreciate your insight and we don't necessarily disagree with you. These rules and regulations can get crazy, but you just have to weigh it out with your goals in terms of what you want/are willing to do. Las Vegas is a great place to invest in, and if whether it's STR or some other route, we can probably find a loophole or something. It's just good to see the full picture...
I dont get it? It is not worth it to me to rent an Airbnb if I have to share my accommodations with the owner. I like to relax with my family without someone else’s family being there. Make it make sense.
Hey Terrie! You are definitely not alone in that way of thinking. There are some crazy rules to follow. I'm not sure of the history as to why they require this, but I'm sure there's a story there somewhere. With that said...rules and regulations do change...and there might be ways we can get around it so if you're interested, be sure to continue watching out future videos or connect with our team here: bit.ly/LVGLifestyle
I have found out that the law where you can not put your home on air bnb unless you both own and occupy it is being challenged right now. The law can not control your whereabouts. Amongst other issues that go against the bill of rights itself. So, there are indeed legal challenges coming up about that particular part. I don't expect that law to last very long. Also, the very next two ads that came up at the end of your video were people promoting rental arbitrage. RUclips has no shame.
Hey Jayce! We don't disagree with you. These laws are pretty ridiculous, but we look forward to that changing. We just don't know the history as to why they set that law to be what it is...but I don't doubt something has happened where they felt the need to put that in. I guess we'll just have to see in the future how that will work out. Thanks for informing about the YT ads that came up. If I had the ability to choose the ads, you know that would be different. But YT has power... Thank you for your insight!
