When Jesus feeds the multitude those two times He is showing us that He can make something out of nothing. That there is nothing to great for Him to heal, forgive, overcome! We can trust Him with all our lives not just the sickness, not just the sin, not just the bad...but all of our life!
It also shows big things start out small. Whoever packed that small lunch had no idea they were getting ready to feed 20,000 people. Don’t despise small beginnings.

chapter 15 verse 16 so Jesus said , “are you still with that understanding? do you not understand that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated? 18 But Those things which proceeds out of the mouth come from the heart and they defile a man 19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murderers, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness , blasphemies. 20 These are the things which to defile a man but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.” (Nkjv)

Actually jesus is referring himself as the bread for the master children. He commended the Canaanite woman as full of faith becos she simply have the crumbs from the bread to be saved from eternal death!

In the same chapter it speaks again about left overs of bread, initially the other story of the woman was the crumbs from the table

I have heard that the hand washing was referring to a specific way to wash not that they didn’t wash their hands. I’d love to hear your thoughts if you look into that. 😀

Could he(Jesus) be talking about tithing like we say we cant help our parents when we are suppose to give money to the temple ?
I’m a little confused and cannot find anything to help explain. So when Jesus fed the men beside the woman and children. Did the woman and children just not eat anything? Or I am interpreting that wrong? I would appreciate it if you could help me with this! I love these Bible study videos cause they help me so much!
The woman and children ate too, they just were not counted in the total number of people there. They only counted the men. So by saying “besides woman and children” it’s saying there was actually even more people there than the number they was counted.
