    Theyre not "dialects", theyre mutually unintelligible and therefore separate languages to arabic.

      @mrt9555 that dosnt seem to be the case , they seem pretty mutual intelligible between Arabs tbh, unless you mean something like Moroccan daarijah .. but in general dialects like Egyptian/Syrian/Saudi/Jordanian/Palestinian seem to be mutually understood for the most part

      In the context of language classification, it is a lot deeper than simply being mutually unintelligible. There are many videos from linguists discussing this exact topic in detail and, if you're interested, I'd suggest you watch them rather than spread your own opinions on a topic you're ignorant of. Just my two cents.

      Who said they're mutually unintelligible?! I'm a native speaker from Egypt and I understand the majority of the other dialects without problems most of the time (with the exception of the Moroccan darijah when there are too many foreign words). And when there is some word or two that seem to be a stumbling block to understanding in a conversation, we refer back to standard Arabic.
