The diagram of double was fabulous 🤩
Thanks a lot 🌸 I drew that diagram myself as I was unable to find similar one elsewhere
Sir, do not block the inserted site with the dressing that is the only window we can see through for any visual infusion phlebitis (VIP) score to look for. Thanks
Kinda wanna try it on myself but im a highschooler lmao imagine i get a hematoma for that and end up in the hospital for doing experiments on myself lol
thanks a lot sir and also the patient who helped

at 2:33 , what is the purpose of pink cap on the top of the IV of saline is administered in the other hole of the IV?
You can use any of these two ports for injection of Normal Saline into the cannula. Pink Cap port is the port from which blood cannot come out even if the cap is open. However, White Cap port is the port from which blood can come out if it left open.
@@MedTimewithKhan okay so basically, pink cap is a better port because blood won't come out?
Pink port can only be used for injections. Because injections are pushed in by applying force. White port can be used for both injections and drips. Because drips flow freely through it and they don't need to be pushed through it by applying some force.
@@MedTimewithKhanthankyou sir for the information

Wow this was well done
Thanks a lot 🌷
The lack of some sort of saftey to prevent the needle from accidentally poking the person inserting the IV after it was removed from the cannula made me nervous... 🤣🤣

Normal saline if injected IM, it pains so hard. When there're patients who just come to create scene, we IM then normal saline and boom 😂
Great job 👏🏻
Thanks a lot
I think the transparent dressing was placed in a reversed way. Still, it is a nice content. Keep it up!
Thanks a lot
Dressing is applied the wrong way around - white part should go distally, not proximally.
This allows transparent area to go over insertion site so it remains visible
Sorry for that. Actually I used that type of tape for the first time for video only, therefore, I made that mistake. Otherwise, in routine, we use normal sticking tape to fix the cannula.
Thanks a lots ❤

How would you hold the cannula if you'd be cannulating yourself?
Cause I try to learn that and in every video this grip that is shown is good only if ure cannulating someone else.
Yes, you are right. Proper angle is achieved only when you are cannulating someone else. It is not advised to cannulate yourself. This is because proper angle is difficult to achieve. Moreover, two hands are required later in the process. So, you should ask someone else to put the cannula for you.
I tried it on myself but I failed
Are u that introvert? Seek help from other. Very dangerous self cannulation
Super

If there are air bubbles in the IV tube, can they be removed by opening injection port cap??
In peripheral veins, a little bit of air bubbles do not cause harm even if you don't remove them. However, if you are dealing with CVP line, be cautious. Because CVP line can tolerate less amount of air bubbles.
Good
Thanks a lot for your comment.
Is it normal practice to flush a cannula twice following insertion?
Flushing a single time is enough. No need to flush twice. Remember that cannulas get blocked if not used for a day or so. So, if it is not used in the last 24 hours, it is a good practice to flush it before using it again.
@@MedTimewithKhanhow to flush a cannula?
Great video, but isn't the injection of the saline a bit too fast? From what my teachers told me, pushing it in too fast can be a bit painful
I have seen seniors giving saline even faster than it, especially when flushing the cannula. However, you can go slow if you are more comfortable with that.
Great
Thanks

Why there is a lot of blood flow even I apply pressure? Please answer me
1. As soon as your vein is pricked, remove the tourniquet. If you do not remove the tourniquet right now, back pressure of blood will be high and blood will come out from the cannula.
2. Apply pressure where the tip of the cannula is present. If you apply, pressure on the stem of the cannula, blood will come out. However, if you apply pressure on tip of the cannula inside the vein, blood will not come out. Keep on practicing. It takes some practice.

Watching this to face my fear of needles 😢
What should we do with the patients who have very thin vains it becomes very painful for them is there any other way for them or can the size of the cannula could be small
Yes, you are right. Some patients are very difficult to cannulize. For thin veins, try to use smaller sized cannula. With continued practice, you will be able to cannulate even difficult veins. However, getting expert can take some time and practice.
@@MedTimewithKhan thank you sir
Kya canula kisi bhi vein me lga sakte h
Yes. But try to select longer straight ones.
what a english
What to do if air is present
It's okay. Peripheral veins (hands, arms, etc) can easily tolerate air bubbles. However, be careful if you are dealing with cannula/CVP line present in the larger neck veins. Because in those large veins, air bubbles should be avoided as much as possible. Especially when giving medicines through those lines.
