Hi Mindy, This is Libby, Freds wife. I have enjoyed so much watching your videos and watching him build your cabinets. I wanted to share with you that, I have been playing your videos at work. I work with elderly dementia residents, and they have enjoyed watching also. Their anticipation to see the end results was rewarding to me. One of my guys ( he is 101) said you are so organized, and we plan to follow your adventures. You are part of our Sunday morning events.
Libby! So nice to read from you, and what a wonderful note. Fred told me about your work and I applaud you. Thank you for showing your seniors my films and making me part of your Sunday morning work ritual. I hope that we can meet and I can show you my build, Fred did such a great job, and I am LOVING it! Stay Sweet and Amazing, and I will see you down the road....HI FRED! Cheers!
Fred's wife used to care for my mom until she passed a few years ago. He made the upper cabinets in my kitchen, and re-faced all the lowers. He also made the new vanity for our guest bathroom. He also made some giant speaker cabinets for my almost 60 year old Altec Lansing coaxial speakers. All spectacular work. If you're in Eugene, or anywhere in the surrounding area; Fred is the man.
Miss Mindy, I've missed you! I ran across my where's Waldo shirt and thought hhmm.. where's Mindy.. Or like did you ever watch Carmen San Diego and all the fun adventures she would go on. You never knew where she was going to pop up. Glad you are popping up!
Hi Mindy! Your Element is looking awesome!! Fred is going to be getting inundated with orders soon, I am certain! So excited for you Mindy!! Yay!! Let the adventures begin!! 🚙 🛣 ⛽ 🤗 💚

Sooo Kool ‼‼Now the Traveling with the Comfort/Storage/Organization in Order. Happy that Your Vision of the Build is Indeed Finished there Sweet🌹🌹 Lady💯💯👍🏾👍🏾‼‼
What an amazing job Fred did … KUDO’s to him for making your sketches into the cubes that fit like a glove. If you haven’t already, maybe get that rubber shelf liner stuff for under the fridge as well as under any mattress you have so they don’t slip and slide … that wood looks smooth as glass ❤️. I can’t believe this was back in the beginning of April! Catch us up … has she been on her maiden voyage yet?
Lou! I hope you are well and travelling. I Lady Caravan would be fun. The new Merch is amazing, I need your addy so that I can send you a wooden sticker. Email that to me. See you on the next one, Cheers!
Hi Element Family! I am so glad that you will be attending the Tacoma Meet Up. It is going to be the LARGEST HONDA ELEMENT Meet up in North America. Cheers!
Mindy the Element looks amazing. Now if we could get Fred to help Issac build out Minion it definitely would be ready before Ember arrived. Issac might even learn a few of Fred’s innovated ideas for cutting down on cabinet weight for when the big bus is ready.
Hello Mindy this is about the 5th comment I’ve ever made on RUclips in over 3 plus years of me watching it. I haven’t seen you since watching Jaylena when she 1st started her 🚌 build. Then she came out to Oregon to continue her bus build with Isaac. And that’s when I saw you i think 🤔 you and some others were on a lake or beach camping.I remember you cooking with others near the water.Anyway I I’m commenting on this video on building of your Honda Element . Awesome!Awesome! Job .And when I 1st started watching this video ,I said you looked like you’ve shrunk🙂 somewhat. And when you got on the vehicle scale and you said the #numbers .Wow ! Ms Chef 👩🍳 Lady. You looked great 👍 I’m so happy and proud of your love for Jaylena and Isaac . Congrats on your journey and keep up the good work GOD BLESS.
Thank you Gregg, my weight loss was unplanned, but unlike some other things in my life, you will find out why very soon. Thank you for watching and following, and leaving a sweet note too. Cheers!
Nice build and great work by Fred. Not to be critical but hope you don't have to access your spare tire if you get a flat. Not an easy undo when you're on the side of the road and it's full of gear. ;)
Ha Ha! I thought about that before the build and got a roof rack. The spare tire is locked on my roof. I could never unpack this build on the side of the road. Cheers!
Beautiful! Would be interested in about what that kind of build costs. I've looked at units that are factory made and feel they are way out of my reach. I don't live in that area so couldn't hire Fred, and I know wood prices change daily, but just looking for ideas and costs.
Hi Sissy, the bed is closer to the roof this time, but, the storage and use of space is way better this time. My up coming tour will show and tell all. Cheers!
I have the same Element from the year they hit the market. I've been considering converting it rather than selling or scrapping it.Since this is an older video I presume you've gone on a few trips. How do you get to the spare? Do you have to take this whole thing out? Has the mpg changed significantly? Has the handling changed? Sorry for so many quatloos. It's just that it's been in the family for so long its hard to let it go.
Hello and welcome aboard. My car has 231,000 miles on it and runs like the day I bought it. If you notice in my videos, the spare is on the roof. MPG has gone down by 8 MPG. If you want to scrap the car email me 9thelementadventurelife@gmail.com I just may buy it from you. But, if you love it, keep it. Honda Elements are great cars. Cheers!
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I meant scrapping my Element, not yours. I live in Alaska, where parts for my Element are getting rare and expensive. I love the workmanship on yours, and your video made me think about maybe converting mine. The only problem would be finding a place for my two large dogs to ride along in the conversion. Thanks for the reply and the video. I hope you get many more miles out of yours.
I've been living in Anchorage for a while, but I really love Soldotna. When Honda Elements were still in production, we saw lots of them, and a lot of people were curious about them. They were surprised at how much room there was inside. Nowadays, I see one or two Elements every time I go out. Finding donor parts cars is increasingly difficult.
Actually Don my car weighs 4500 pounds. It weighed 3200 pounds without the back seats in it. I am a wee bit on the heavy side, so I will need to upgrade my suspension. Cheers!
