That XJ40 is living its best life. Great work, beautiful scenery!

Great video thanks! A neighbour had one of these (same colour too) when I was about 10 and it was the first 'nice' car I got to sit in. I had seen Ferraris and Rolls in magazines but never been inside them. I was blown away by the beautiful cream leather, real wood and electric seats!

Did a similar journey covering the north of Scotland .over 20 years ago in my old XJ81 (XJ40 6 litre V12). At a best of 20mpg it cost a fortune in petrol but a great car to whisk away the miles. Car long gone but memories remain.

I live in the highlands and drove a Daimler XJ40 for years. Perfect car for sweeping roads, no plod to worry about or speed cameras to spoil the fun.

Great video! Btw, what type of fog lights are you running? I removed the stock ones on my '90 since they looked like a goofy afterthought but yours look slick. ❤

Thanks - they are integrated into the bumper much like the later x300 cars. I have to admit, I have not noticed if this is the same on earlier cars.

@@toooldclassics Ah, I see. Must have been similar to the facelift xjs. Regardless they look great. The earlier ones most certainly do not.
