Enzo was using your video to preach the Gospel to the world! Praise God! 💃
Yes, Hallelujah!
Amen 🙌
Amen! What a sweet child!
Yes!!!! Praise God! 🤲🏾
@@sh1659 Amen 🙏🏾
Speech-Language pathologist here! 🙋🏽♀️A second language will NOT delay your child. This is a huge myth we have to debunk every day. It is strongly encouraged, especially for those under 7 in those golden years for language development!!❤ You all are doing the right thing!
Thank you 😊
@tatoandvira I remember being one of the people who commented when you were still contemplating whether or not to start this journey. I am a former French student as a second language teacher from an Anglophone, and I am now working in cross-cultural communications. I remember giving you my language story . As a typical African aunty, l feel so proud it's worked for you. You have no idea the gift you have given your child( and husband) . En plus son livre préféré c'est le Bible ? What a double blessing. ❤️🙏🏾As a 3rd generation descendant of Cameroon, he can never get lost in the greater part of the entire continent. I remember saying l learnt French for Africa, not France. I am from Zimbabwe, but there are white Zimbabweans who speak my own tribal language better than me. People should check out a musician called Gemma Griffiths who flexes in English and Shona. .Multilingualism from mama and Tech from Dad , Enzo is also set for the future. Bravo les parents 👏🏾 ❤️🙏🏾
ABSOLUTELY! My son is trilingual and he’s not delayed AT ALL. If anything he’s ahead. He just turned 3 yesterday. I’m not sure where that myth is from but it’s completely untrue.
You dont have to explain anything..This is your child.
Polyglot (Multilangual) here🙋🏽♀️, I'm Haitian we are bilangual (Haitian/French). But I went to a private school where they only teach us English and French so at age 3 I was already a trilangual, when I was 11 I had to learn Spanish it it mandatory in my country from grade 7th. Then I learn portuguese. Both my mom and dad side of family speak several languages at a very young age.
As a first gen Cameroonian-American, a daughter of Cameroonian parents who didn’t teach me French, THANK YOU for teaching Enzo , he will appreciate it so much.
But is french your language? What was your people's language before the colonizers came? That is what you should speak first then French. The more the better but you should speak urs first. Now, there are youtube channels teaching various african langauges
@ @ I say this respectfully, I understand your perspective for someone that it would matter to. I would’ve liked to learn French so I could speak it with the rest of my family today during gatherings and traveling back home to Cameroon. Regardless of whatever facts are presented due to colonizers, my family is French speaking. I also would’ve liked to know both of my parents different languages of their tribes, but there are not resources to learn them. And it would be a hassle I don’t care enough to go through. I’m also a nurse now, and a lot of my patients speak French and Spanish, and it would’ve been helpful.
Cameroun's identity is French. Their culture is tied around French.
@Uke2405 Which is not originally so. Cameroonian have their own culture and indentity as Africans before the colonizers came.
@Sel-k5e We have white Zimbabweans who speak Shona and Ndebele and they speak it better than some Zimbabweans themselves ls it their colonies language? Who owns language? It's a communication bridge. I am a Zimbabwean and l studied French specifically for Africa not France.
I did the same with my daughter, her dad Nigerian,I am Congolese,so I taught her how to speak french and write and she speaks English as well and I took her to Nigeria to know her roots and she loved it ❤
Great stuff
Love that ❤
May she learn her native Nigerian language as well!
@israeliana her father family is teaching her Yoruba
@jocelynemmukendi1307 yay thats lovely! She will greatly appreciate you all in her adult life
You are SO right! Teaching your child a 2nd language is truly a gift. To be able to communicate with others and meet people where they are in language is beautiful!💖
So 👍 true
I don’t see any problem with her teaching her son French idk why people care so much it’s her child for one and also that’s her first language then English people need to mind there business 😅
Right! Thank you 😊
Period🤞🏽
Exactly! It’s the same people who turn around and ask “why didn’t she teach him French?”
@Brittoxo - you'll always have people saying negative things, regardless; even if your intentions were good. 😢 thats just how things are sadly.
I couldn't agree with you any more. 😔
1 st language🙄
Is she adopted😂
Enzo is extremely adorable, he is learning, and absorbing quickly.
Learning French is very useful. Many countries in Europe learn French as a second language. When I went to Italy I was able to communicate in French. Enzo keeps getting cuter everyday!
But over here more people speak Spanish.
Excellent. I am sooooo pleased that you are giving him the precious gift of bilingualism.
I remember when you started saying random words of french but had noo idea what a brilliant speaker he would come to be. good job!
Right I was so nervous at first! Goes to show you don’t have to be perfect to start
Hello Vira,
I am from Cameroon too 🇨🇲
C,est magnifique ce que tu fait. Mon mari et moi parlons également le Français à nos enfants parce qu,ils apprendrons l,Anglais à l'école.
Coucou! C’est super ça! ♥️
A research study found that children that speak multiple languages are smarter then children that speak one language. This has to do with the brain's wiring system. I once met a woman from South America who was married to a man from Egypt and her daughter (who was under 5 years old) spoke Spanish, Arabic and English. The mom explained that it was very important that her daughter be able to communicate with relatives from both sides. This has to do with the brain's wiring system. The saddest thing I've come across are naturalized foreign born parents who refuse to teach their children their native language. The saddest thing I've also come across are parents who refuse to teach their children their native language.
I really appreciated growing up in an environment where multiple languages were spoken when I was able to help someone when I was stuck at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport years ago. While wandering around in the wee hours of the morning I came across a woman from Mexico that needed help who didn't speak French. The gal at the customer service booth didn't speak Spanish or English, so I translated back and forth between the two. It was interesting.
Not trues some of them are really comfused….!!
@@faridaseif4956 There is no research to prove this. All the research proves that it is 1000% more beneficial to know more than 1 language.
@@faridaseif4956 this isn’t true
Awww LORD JESUS place your hedge of protection around Enzo and his mom and dad with the precious blood of Jesus on everyside it's so beautiful ❤️ he is also learning the bible the word of God so lovely
Vira you're doing a wonderful job as a mother. ❤❤❤
And as a human being, too!
You both are outstanding parents and he is so Handsome! He looks like both of you ❤
Aww thank you 😊
This motivated me to teach Spanish to my baby ❤you’ve done a great job with Enzo!
Thank you mama ❤ you got this!
Yes and if possible put your child in a bilingual preschool in English and Spanish
Enzo said Goliath is tall..woow l enjoyed that ...such a clever ,gorgeous boy❤❤❤.
I am south African and my son is in an Afrikaans school😂😂 and afrikaans was a forced languaged during apartheid days, but I don't care. I want my son to tell me what the whites are saying about us😂😂 , he also speaks english, swati and he hears Pedi, I want him to learn as many languages as he can.
Love that 😂😂😂
Tu l'as fait Elvira!!!!!!!! Par la grâce de Dieuuuu c'est merveilleux !!!! You did that Bro!!!!!!
"...I put my back into it..." Love the energy!😄😄😄
You're doing a great job. Congratulations 👏🏾 and keep it up. If you can, also teach him how to write French when he starts writing.
I wanna share my experience being bilingual, maybe it can be useful to someone. I grew up speaking German with my mom and Italian with my dad. Where I live, German is prevalently spoken, so learning it was very easy for me. Since Enzo lives in an English speaking country he will 100% be fluent in it no matter what so don't worry about it. As for french it's important that you stay consistent with him, and he will learn it well. I didn't learn Italian from my dad alone, I needed more exposure and for me that was books, TV and radio at the time, because even though my mom speaks German, we only had Italian "media" at home. I still wish I had some friends that I could have practiced Italian with, it would have helped me. The last important thing I want to say is, it would be great if your husband would learn just a bit of french. My dad never learned German so he often feels excluded because he can never join a conversation between me and my mom. It's not necessary for the other parent to speak the language but to UNDERSTAND the basics, that will be enough to make sure there are no bad dynamics in the family. I hope this was helpful to someone. Have a great day everyone!
PS: I found it quite easy to learn English and some other languages, so being bilingual is a great advantage for that imo.
Thank you Tato understands a bit of French because it’s similar to Spanish but I’ll make sure he feels included
Totally agree.. ❤ I’m trilingual and the best gift is to be able to talk different languages, so much more opportunities came to me through it. Before I was torn between what language to teach my future kids, but now I’m at peace with the language I would want my kids to learn. Your video comfort me, telling me I finally made the right choice 😊
Im so glad for you. I worked with a Korean and an African I never understood why they never taught there children their native tongue. When I would hear them speak it to their friends, it was so beautiful. My son married a Mexican her mom is fluent , never taught them . Its so awesome to see you and Enzo. Keep going don't stop please
Thank you for sharing. I also started introducing french to my children, they picked interest because they saw me learning. Seeing I am also a student it isn't easy staying motivated and passing the energy on. But this video was encouraging. Thank you
I love the energy 😂😂😂😂
You are inspired dear
Well done
Omg he is serious about reading the Goliath story and you have to participate 😅.
Such an intelligent child
Right 😂
WOW! Look at baby boy go! He's so fluent now that he just goes into French and out of it into English with such ease. Congratulations! This baby is not even in school yet. Can't wait until he shows up at school speaking French and English. LOL! His teachers are going to be blown away! And the way he loves reading! OMG! Phenomenal job educating your son, Vira!!!!
Thank you 😊
Great job Vira. He is so smart
I love this! Put your back into it. What valuable knowledge & education you're giving him. He will thank you one day for it. ❤❤
He is so precious and smart! Weldone mummy and daddy❤
Thank you for sharing my daughter is almost three and I felt like I didn't teach her soon . I just started couple months ago . That is really encouraging ❤❤❤❤❤ I'm not going to give up ❤
Put shows and nursery rhymes in the target language as well as games on the iPad so that she can practice the target language. Read books or do activities or activity books kids exercice in the target language
This is so awesome! Good job Mama!! He is too cute and smart!!!
It is a billions thumb ups for me sis. You inspired me God bless your family. ❤
All this time I thought you were from the Francophone part of Cameroon 💀 I love that you are teaching Enzo French, i’m trying to not to lose my home languages because my parents stopped speaking it with us so we could learn English for school. Also, Enzo can still learn Spanish as he grows from school and Tato’s family ☺️
Nope I’m anglophone haha and I hope Enzo will pick up Spanish as well 😊
amazing woman, love the family, thank you for this. My husband is Dominican, Born in US but his first language is Spanish. He lost it over the years and now is fluent again but his still shy to speak to our son (8 months) all of the time. I am teaching him as best as I can because I am also learning Spanish, songs really do help. We watch a Dominican lady names Ms. Ramos, my son loves her she is great, I am learning too
Just tell him it’s a great way to bond with your son. Also tell him an 8 month old is not going to judge him 😂. But I understand the shyness. The more he does it the more confident he will be
@@tatoandviraexactly thank you so much. ❤
I applaud you Vera for what you’re doing with Enzo.Don’t worry about people, just keep on doing what you’re doing.Good job.
Stick to what you’re doing Vira! Be consistent as you said and it will pay off big time!!I loved reading to my kids too.
🥰 I love this video. Great job mommy and baby Enzo!! Keep going!
Your energy and personality is a joy to see and your video is captivating. Enzo is a cute kid
Vera I love that, even if you're doing rubbish just give it energy 😂😂😂😂🤣✨♥️.
Vira am totally impressed with your determination and the intentional effort you are raising your son with❤very admirable.
That's amazing.
Good Job Mama
I love this lady just straight to the point ❤she cracks me up
You are doing a great work raising that child. Nobody to juge you sis.
Love depuis le 237 🇨🇲🇨🇲 ❤
Thanks Vira! Im learning french now! But I was taught Japanese as an older toddler. I want to teach my children Japanese but I know I will get some resistance from my family; maybe not. Ima do it anyways. Teach them both 💝💓💚
Absolutely parents should speak their native languages to their children 🎉 such a blessing and life skill that will open up many more opportunities I'm sure.
And agree, the best method is to speak to the child completely in that language.
Love, Love your energy! Continue putting your back into it!
The way he shoved his lil baby bible in her neck lol 😂 “David won”!! 🤭
Right 😂
😂😂😂😂 shoving in her neck!
I love how he says "Ma'rhie, Ma'rhie, Jesus's mum 😂
Yesss, he speaks so well! 🤗 Great job Vira!!! 🎉 My dad was Somali and didn’t teach me or my sister, it’s something I wish I learned 😣
Love thissss! Well done mama! ❤️
Totally agree.. ❤ I’m trilingual and the best gift is to be able to talk different languages, so much more opportunities came to me through it. Before I was torn between what language to teach my future kids, but now I’m at peace with the language I would want my kids to learn.
I love seeing Enzo always.
Very brilliant boy, God bless your brain Enzo.
Beautiful job Vera! Keep up what you are doing. Ignore all negativity. Your son will be bilingual, and one day trilingual with speaking English, French and Spanish. Your family is beautiful. Prayers toward you all as you grow your family🙏🏽
I have been watching your family for awhile and I am so proud of your family . Keep doing what you are doing.❤❤❤❤
Thanks for following our journey ♥️
This little cutie loves his Bible, so cute..I love him so much ❤❤
mother tongue😂😂😂. Thanks for speaking truth. Love it
What a blessing that your son is bilingual. You are setting up his future. Great parenting in my mind.
Good job Vira it is very important for a child to learn their mothers language it doesn't matter what language the mother speaks. Enzo is a very smart little boy. Keep up the good work guys ❤
So true and I agree with your desision.I was born in Canada,my first language is french. As I grew ,my parents really want us to be bilingual and speak english also. And later,I learned creole, spanish and german reading dictionnary, watching movies ,school, etc. No regrets to be at least bilingual (english and french) because i have much more jobs opportunities and be able to communicate ,travel etc.
I suggest parents to learn both at least english and french at least at the young age 😊
"Even if you're saying rubbish, just say it with energy" - Vira 😂
He will be 10 times ahead. He will be so grateful that you taught him a second language. Heck, there will be opportunities even if he doesnt decide to go to college. Plenty of trade jobs , regular jobs that will accept him quickly because he had that second language. A true opportunity ❤❤
I absolutely love what you’re doing! I don’t know why anyone would hate on this. I’m Nigerian and I’m currently learning Spanish and French and my goal is to become fluent before I get married and have kids so I can speak it to them. I want to raise trilingual kids and I know by the grace of God, I’ll do it. Keep it up vira! You’re doing well!❤
PLEASE READ: I commend you, mom! Your toddler speaking French is absolutely amazing! Language is such a powerful bridge between cultures, and giving your child the gift of bilingualism will open doors to new perspectives and opportunities.
My daughter and I are from the United States. She attended a total French immersion school throughout primary and junior high. In this program, students had to begin in kindergarten or first grade to keep up with the curriculum. Even at just five years old, kindergarteners were speaking French effortlessly, and by eighth grade, fluency was the norm.
In high school, my daughter excelled in French, mastering the highest level available, and aced her Spanish courses with ease-hardly needing to study due to the shared roots among Romance languages. Now, at 31, she is fluent in English, French, and conversational in Spanish, allowing her to connect with diverse communities and cultures in meaningful ways.
Hats off to you, Mom, for nurturing such an invaluable skill in your son! Language is more than just words-it’s a gateway to the world.
omg! He speaks so well!! I grew up in an English speaking country and I wish my parents taught me a second language 🥲 I learnt Spanish in High school and I loved it ever since. I can understand it some extent and I try to teach my toddler some words too on a daily basis but I’d like for her to know a second language (although i only know one) so thank you for sharing this video! All the best on the journey, you’re already seeing positive results. Keep going! 🤍 xxxx
Well DONE, Mommy! I hope you do more of these videos teaching or reading French books! MORE TIPS PLEASE! It’s so helpful! I’ll make a ‘Read with Me” bilingual playlist. (saving this vid now) I can’t wait to show my son & niece! 🙏🏽
❤That bBy had a book in his hand since he w a d BORN!
Enzo tres intelligent et joyeux!
He’s a bookaholic 😂❤
Well done Vira. You’re doing well teaching a new language (culture) to Enzo. I live in Nigeria and keep practicing my French ….we need to understand our neighbours too! Keep it up 👍🏽
He surely won't forget as long as you keep speaking french to him. Keep investing in him learning the language as he grows. I did french school in Canada all the way to 8th grade and speaking french at home and I'm fully fluent. My brothers who didnt do french school are fluent as well but a bit less vocabulary. Good luck Mama, Enzo is doing so well and will truly appreciate it!
I've always wanted to learn french, because it's a beautiful and romantic language. And it depends which school you're in, if you have better grades here, you have the opportunity to learn French, but not everyone has this privilege in our country. We learn and speak 4 languages here. English, Spanish, Papiamento and Dutch, and the more language you learn, it's better for your future and social live. You're doing a great job. Enzo is so smart and he can learn more than on language.❤
Curaçao?
You have really done sooo well by teaching Enzo French❤️😍
Enzo is so freaking cute!!! Good job mom! You’re doing an amazing job.
You're such a FUN mom...Keep up the good work‼️
It’s called mother tongue for a reason.🙌🙌 I love how fluent he is in French. Good job mama
Love from Nigeria🇳🇬❤️
Oh my God they were planning on eating them! But you are doing an awesome job with teaching Enzio he loves reading, I can tell that! He is so intelligent at 3. Awesome ! You are doing a Great job Vira. I wish I knew a second language to teach myself and my granddaughter.❤
Thank you😊 Enzo just turned 2 but everyone including the pediatrician says he looks like a 3 year old 🤣
You and Enzo are so funny I love your interaction with him!
You are doing a great job. Je parle à mes enfants en français et le plus grand apprend aussi des phrases en lingala; et nous vivons dans une ville anglophone. Et c’est vrai qu’ils ont une mémoire incroyable!
3:56 you are the best 😂😂❤
Best response ever!
Thank you 😂❤
😂😂😂
Well done Vira
You are doing a great job
I can't wait to be a mother soon and start teaching my baby too❤🎉❤
Well done sis 🎉🎉🎉
Please continue doing videos like this with Enzo because you can attract a new type of audience that wants to learn French.
you're doing great Vira dont worry! Enzo is doing so well x
Im learning french I enjoyed the part you 2 chatted so much❤ More please❤❤❤ Taking the tips of teaching toddler cos I sort of am when it comes to parle francais
I just love your personality! YOU DID IT!!!
I wish that your video was available 22 years ago.😂🤣😅 Vira, you are doing such a great job with Enzo!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Only people with spirits of jealousy could make such comments.🤦🏾♀️ Enzo being bilingual is putting him ahead of his peers. You'll definitely see the fruits of your labor once he's in school. Keep pushing!! You and Tato both do a phenomenal job raising Enzo.🤗 Let our nephew read the Bible all day every day. It's the ONLY book that will stand the test of time.😉🙏🏾❤
Love that! Thank you so much ♥️
That is so awesome that would benefit him when he gets older you're doing an awesome job
So so true. I'm from the Netherlands but in my childhood I learned English through television. It actually became my second language and helped me so much in school, while traveling and on the internet. A whole world was open to me because of it. Now I teach both English and Dutch to my daughter since her birth. So I'll know if I ever lose her on a holiday (god forbid) she can talk to everybody to ask for directions and get back to me.
Interesting
People are just so ignorant. Whatever language you teach your child is your business. Teach and Speak Queen!
He’s doing great! Tato now needs to start teaching him Spanish. He is a sponge at this age. Obviously he has a sharp mind. Keep up the great work momma.
This encourages me to speak Spanish more to my daughter she is under 6 months. I been trying to learn the song in Spanish and read it to her as well. So cute that Enzo speaks French so well ❤omg
This baby is amazing he is learning the word of God lord Jesus draw him ever closer to you use him for your glory ❤
I was born and raised in the USA, but my mother migrated from Haiti, which gives me an accent. So I speak Haitian Creole and English. Your background probably gives you a unique blend of cultural influences in both language and perspective.
Very beautiful. I speak French so do all my siblings, though i am a Nigerian an Igbo girl. I grew up in Côte d'Ivoire but currently in Cameron. I speak Igbo, English and French fluently
This is sooo amazing… I will surely teach my son French one day ❤
I am anglophone Cameroonian but was born and bred in Yaounde, I now live in Germany and can speak English, French and German very fluently . I really hope to teach my kids all of these languages and maybe throw in pidgin too. I unfortunately cannot speak my parents‘ native languages because they never taught me, but what I do know , hopefully my kids will pick up .
Omg i still remember when you announced you were pregnant! ❤. &look at him now 😭.
I was pregnant the same time you were too! I was also in a struggle due to hypothyroidism..& was told it'll be difficult for me to conceive..
But got pregnant &gave birth in January! A week after Enzo was born i was in labor the next week after Enzo! I also had a C-section!
We had alot in common with that! I was following your journey! & look at Enzo! He is advanced!
My son is the same age but he is kinda delayed. Ive been reading talking to him since even when he was born last year i was teaching him the animals colors sing play and he wasnt having it
He is a ball of energy he just wants to run &play lol i tried reading to him &get into a fun character he doesnt like books 😂. So i didn't forced him.
I am teaching his my primary language Spanish. He knows a few words in Spanish but not 3 sentences together just one word.
He count 123456 in Spanish. The colors he doesn't say yet but he knows a few animals in Spanish.
Im a so glad your teaching Enzo to be bilingual ! He is so smart ! & a sweet boy💙
They learn at their own pace. He might not be into books but into something else. It’s their world we just live in it 🤣
@@purplefreax put shows and nursery rhymes in Spanish it should help abd if possible put him in a bilingual school
Good job vira, this is amazing!!!!
You both are doing a great job. Blessings
😂😂Girrrrl SO right, these people honestly have no sense, ignore them. Its always a great idea to be bilingual. My parents are from Nigeria they chose not to teach us their mother tongue for whatever reason. I moved and lived in Greece, I speak Greek and am now in Turkey and Im learning Turkish. I love languages and it opens many doors. I hope one day to learn igbo, Your doing great and given him a head start. 2025 and people still talking about colour and colonisation etc, lets move on ffs!!
You carry on!! Well done. ❤❤
Well said thank you! ❤
❤❤❤❤ you are a great parent. 🎉🎉🎉
I learned in French class that to conjugate the verbs is the hardest in all languages. So it will be so easy to teach Spanish. Keep up great work.
You are looking so beautiful being a mom has made you look even more beautiful 😍
I envy Enzo. Well done ✅, you have done a good job ❤🎉
Awwwwww the duo singing session was so adorable 🥰
