Perfect vid! The off road driving, the ridge, the filming, the music... and that sunset.... Superb!
The Sandwich in the vídeo, deserves The Pickled Ronny name . Great fun At Billy Goat Beach
I was lead vehicle (Troopy), with our little crew, and looking from the start, it looked fun. Got hairy quickly, and I was soon sweating for a spotter. Some yucky angles. There were no rocks in that step up and my rear wheels got caught, so thank us for the rocks, haha. Definitely Wouldn't do it alone. Cool Vid Ronnie.
Ronny, Have you ever considered a trailer camera system? It would be a good option when traveling solo or lead of a group. I installed a 4 camera system on my Tundra. I put one camera in the grill so I could see the trail particularly when cresting a hill or coming up to a drop off. I put one in front of each front wheel for helping with tire placement and the fourth one I mounted on the back axle looking forward. The biggest issue is finding a good spot in the cabin for the monitor. I would recommend a disconnect mount of some type so the monitor could be stowed out of the way when not needed. Cheers!
Camera man’s skill with the drone was awesome, so under rated the shots he got!
Amazing filming and editing. Loved it!
Yes, some of the steepest tracks in Australia are around this area. My heart was in my mouth just watching you, as I was around the Flinders/Gammon Ranges a few months ago, and understand how you feel when you come across such descents, especially traveling solo.
I got nervous just watching you ho down. Would be shifting myself if I had to drive those tracks. Good video Ronny.
Hi being a South Australian I have done this track twice well done Ronny a great place to visit 10/10
Bendleby Toasted. Love the patch too. "I wouldn't do this one in reverse" good on ya, Ronny. Been subscribed forever.
Bendleby Ranges is possibly the best wheeling in SA. We love the place, beautiful , awesome campsites, awesome tracks with a few good technical tracks....
Note the part between the gate keeper and that big rock step can be quite challenging and a few vehicles have been lost there... Nothing like spending an evening around the campfire after successfully completeing some tuff tracks...
Track Rats 4x4 crew
Some amazing footage of that part of Oz. Well done camera man and editor.
You're the best Ronny🎉
Awesome!! Thanks for taking us along. 😎
Hi Ronny - Love this formats of videos... Please make more...
Great episode, love the camera work, Ronny
Epic!
Could feel the tension of someone else wheeling.
That area is special and you have done it justice. Really great job. Lock that vid up in your volt for later inspiration.
Keep it up 👍
Love these videos!
this was fantastic !! nice one Rhonda
Really well executed video.
Great video and a great track thanks Ronny
Looks like fun Ronny! You need a new touring buddy so we can see some epic trips again. It's been a while........
Great tracks
Did them in my GU patrol a while back.
Very narly indeed.
Put my fridge thru the back window when it broke its mounts 😡.
Could have been much worse.
I had to “gun it” as no lockers and only a 50 mm lift.
Bent my running boards and a big rip in my muffler.
Don’t think I will be taking my new Y62 up these tracks until I have some serious mods.
Also need extra pair of jocks 😉
Totally awesome! Makes me want to visit Australia!
Nooooo. I've been waiting weeks to see the rest of vic high country.
Better be back here soon Ronny!
cool some day trip ...cool Sammy you made
Very skillful and scary drive. Awesome to watch. I would think this track here is definitely more technical that Billy Goat Bluff Track in VHC with that loose scree, blind spots and right angle bend, however in both cases you sure as heck need to know what you're doing! Good one Ronny, loved the scenery and the mini-Bungles looked timeless!
Leaving your gear out there is mind blowing to me. I live in California (Kommiefornia) and I’m uneasy just parking and walking away from my locked vehicle. Lol
That trail was pretty gnarly!
Absolutely awesome tracks, I've been there twice, and completed all the tracks apart from the newest track Wiseman's Way. My touring vehicle with only 32's and 2" lift not suited for that track without breakage. In saying I'll will be returning to Bendleby. Awesome spot just to camp.
Had a similar experience at Bendleby, lost sight of the track on a blind hairpin with a massive drop next to me. Heartstopper material
What a track it was making the hairs on my back rise just watching you traverse that pile of rock, by the way brilliant backdrop photography
Would have been interesting to see you doing this track in your new LC76. Great video content as always Ronny.
Don’t think it’s suited for hard tracks atm😅
Crikey that was seriously scary and doing it unassisted was next level.
Thanks for sharing
I have been in that area three times this year.... 'because it's there... Great, no brilliant sunsets - I am not as adventurous on these tracks as you, young fella's ...
Just seeing that fantastic region is ample for me and watching the creatures. Thanks, Ronny
I was driving along side you in my 1st generation Toyota Tacoma expedition rig. Awesome place mate.
Nice one Ronny a shame the weather turned at the VHC on ya's it is very picturet up there we did have some crazy rain as did other parts of the country ... I do notice the extra noises inside the troopy now once the roof has been cut off mine dose the same ... maybe you get a little bit more flex out of the body now 🤔😆🙂🤙
loved everything about this apart from the man made rock placements at the end
Ronnie, I always enjoy your videos from Arizona 🇺🇸 heard a lot about this place, would love to visit.
A mini 4x4 home going anywhere you want, what a car!
Thanks for sharing this story with us! I can definitely see why you love it. Any specifics to look out for when hunting for these vintage Seamaster 300s?
Great vid, was looking forward to more VHC, any coming ? Cheers
Vhc sucks
I was hoping for the same. I myself prefer that scenery a little bit better.
@@TheLukaszpgclearly you are not a happy individual. You can take that elsewhere sir.
Unfortunately not we had a second story but were unable to complete it to my satisfaction for an upload to YT. Then the weather turned on us too so we headed for Bendleby ranges as a spontaneous choice.
I’m eager to head back to VIC this year
@@Ronny_Dahl hopefully that happens soon as myself and others would love to see more!
love visiting there once per year to climb Eke Hill and Marchant Hill but I walk up then. Great accommodation too.
That´s pretty wild! I might not think too much of it going through in my tractor - but in a car you really can´t see anything of what´s going on, you just have to feel it, or even worse - try to calculate where your other wheels might be at!
the guy filming you could be the spotter :) very nice video!
Inspiring content. Of course we will go in group and have a spotter. Even then, it will be thriling.
Have been to Bendleby a couple times in my 2003 Grand Vitara. That Billy Goat Ridge is a lot of fun, picked the wrong line on one of those rock steps though and folded the transfer case bash plate like a banana 😅
Great video, especially considering you were solo.
I have driven and ridden quite a few tracks like this and they sure get your heart rate up.
love the registration number :)
Mate, my Adrenaline was pumped just watching this. Great footage as always, my eyes never left the screen. I'd name your breakfast treat the Billy Goat Pickle.
I recommend "Alpana Station" just north of this place. Awesome place
Fantastic episode as usual, always have a spotter unless you want a new car. Nice bit of track building and education in decision making.
Maybe just upgrade the seats n get some new covers too
1st upgrade for any Toyota should be a Handbrake
Nice use of the 'Toyota' handbrake there mate! 😂
Great episode Ronny just wish it was that lil bit longer atleast 30 mins be nice :)
Takes some kinda crazy to go solo. I know because I do it. The best skill I've learned is when to bail. Its hard, hurts but lets you go another day. I love your analysis here. More solo.
Yep I’m picking up what you are putting down. That why I bailed on Billy goat bluff VIC being in the condition it was
Wow, and I thought I had some sketchy moments hang gliding, but you’re driving a car by yourself!!! You’re insane!
Mate that downhill was insane . Clean them seats alright.
Cake walk compared to VHC
.good video and nice amazing scenery....cheers 🎉
Agree- SA tracks are rocky and have occasional steep pinches, but traction is always predictable. VHC far more varied, bigger, and challenging.
Just call the sanga, The Ronny.
Awesome
I’d call the toastie Rise & Shine but you ruined it with the wrong kind of bacon🤦🏼♀️
Amazing pics! We would let the goats keep that track haha
hey mate thats probably an andy goldsworthy he does exactly that kind of art out in nature
The cameraman must've been quite worried. There must've been an extra as I don't think that cameras and the GoPro can pan by themselves.
Great VLOG - it'll keep many amateurs back down the hill.
Imma gonna call this the "Steve Irwin effect." Let's go Ronny! Let's show em how good Australia is 😅
WOOO NEW VID
Certainly a tricky Track indeed. I can say I have been on a couple that are similar here in the States. Seeing how the Troopy handled it I suspect you would have been fine with the left behind gear still in the vehicle.
Sure you have, suuuure
@@TheLukaszpg If you don't want to believe me then that's your problem. If you don't like what Ronny is posting then simply Don't watch it and you won't have to worry.
Impressive
Epic Video! But, can't name that French Toastie anything good with Short Cut Bacon in it! Fat is flavour mate!
Have to call the toastie something like croque- forbloke.
Add an egg and we can call it croque-forchick.
Absolute Clutch, as the kids say
You seem to like the Troopy over the 79 nowadays. I assume this is mostly for the longer trips. The comfort outweighs the extra offroading ability of your 79. You must be getting older like the rest of us! :) You spend a lot of time in Aus getting to the adventures.
"don't have a spotter"
Filmed my a cameraman
Is that second track, the steepest decent called "pats peak"?
What a crazy trip …kahunas
Ahh, edges like cliffs. I hate cliffs. Though I'm not driving, you make me nervous.
The Bendelby Toasty
My idea for the sandwich name? “Pickle me Breakfast”.😇
Can anyone please provide me the link the music at the beginning of the video?
Thanks Ronny. Love all the content
So remote you dont have to worry about people pinching the shit you left back at camp
Hey Ronnie, are you planning on keeping the 76 long term and if so, are you going to give it a Nordic name?
Next out of country trip for the channel should be here in Canada and run snow trails @theStoryTillNow make it happen 😂
I have a Troopy and they are at a disadvantage in hilly cambered terrain as here and the VHC.☹
I would call that toastie the Pigandwhistle
Disappointing you didnt get to do the Crooked River or Billy's. I was in the area same time, copped the snow same day you did then next day went to do Crooked River but it was way to swollen, saw some tracks heading into the mud but they dug in deep so we decided to do Billy Goats instead. Would of been nice to see how your troopy handled it, given one of the cars in the convoy with me was also a Troopy.
Instead of using a rock for your handbrake, buy a front wheel line locker little investment 50 dollars.keep up the good work.Martin Thailand 😎
We call this "porn-toast" for years in Germany, a friend came up with this😅
❤❤
Hi, somethink I miss for some time is the little bear. Where is Torbs been?
Are you using 3- dot or 4 dot brake fluid?
Name for ya morning sandwiche, "the French pickle tickle"
Sammich name: Australian Heart Stopper
Insane…..
Would that be possible in a Prado, or?
Listening to that constant tire rubbing would drive me nuts.
Tires were not rubbing it was the stuff I left in the roof to close to the edge
What happened to Torbs?
Can you try the LC70 6 cylinder engine and review it, if you have it in Australia 😊…Compare it with the V8
Did I get it right, admission to this track costs a hefty 400$ for 2 nights?
I don't know why people complain about toyota handbrakes, there's an abundance of them lying around in nature you will never loose it.
is it really solo if you have a crew with you though
You could've had the guy behind the camera spot you.
