They're the type of game where most players will be forced to use the bolt action rifle of whatever faction you're playing as, and one bullet will kill you.

Coming back to this trailer, I can safely say that it would’ve worked without the female soldier w/ prosthetic limb. The trailer capitalizes on the Battlefield experience, unlike the Battlefield 1 which started its marketing via focusing the WW1 setting. I like the idea of making fun of respawns and the medic ignoring the guy on the stairs.

They tried too hard to show the “customizable” characters and “never before seen” of WW2 instead of actually showing something that could hype people up. They probably got too inspired by Fortnite in 2018 even though the game’s audience is completely different.

I'm pretty sure there wasn't any robotic-arm british female fighting on the front line back in WW2. That's just stupid. If they want to make a story centered around a female, this would be much better setting: a Soviet female, seeing her friends/lovers/brother died decided to go to frontline. She trained as any male soldier, went through hell as any other male, yet still fought with great valor to protect her motherland and revenge the invaders. I'm 100% sure that if they include a female like that, gamers' would be as hyped as any other AAA game. People didn't dislike because there was a female, they did it because the character is totally forced and inaccurate.

The problem with Battlefield 5 is that it took a different conceptual and artistic path. In this trailer, the game demonstrates its focus on an audience of players who love everything colorful, bright, painted, colorful, which suits the Fortnite fan. However, the game itself has a battlefield at its core. This trailer hit fans in the face and disbanded the franchise's fan base. If EA/DICE had originally taken the art style of previous games like Battlefield 1 and shown it in a trailer, the reaction would have been different.

I'm pretty sure there wasn't any robotic-arm british female fighting on the front line back in WW2. That's just stupid.
If they want to make a story centered around a female, this would be much better setting: a Soviet female, seeing her friends/lovers/brother died decided to go to frontline. She trained as any male soldier, went through hell as any other male, yet still fought with great valor to protect her motherland and revenge the invaders.
I'm 100% sure that if they include a female like that, gamers' would be as hyped as any other AAA game.
People didn't dislike because there was a female, they did it because the character is totally forced and inaccurate.

The problem with Battlefield 5 is that it took a different conceptual and artistic path. In this trailer, the game demonstrates its focus on an audience of players who love everything colorful, bright, painted, colorful, which suits the Fortnite fan. However, the game itself has a battlefield at its core. This trailer hit fans in the face and disbanded the franchise's fan base. If EA/DICE had originally taken the art style of previous games like Battlefield 1 and shown it in a trailer, the reaction would have been different.
I'm still waiting for an authentic WWII battlefield, but now is impossible.

This is not just about women ( at least, for me ) its about everything else that looks unrealistic. Women fought in world war 2, yes. In the Soviet Union on the Eastern Front. Not on the Western front. As long as the devs recognized that this game is not historical and not plausible, then Im fine with it. Either way, I probably wont buy it either. The last one I bought was Battlefield 1942.
