    I love how most of these enthusiasts love common plants. Collectors often get caught up on the price tag. The monetary value of plants is artificially controlled by the industry. Trends inflate prices and can often lead to poaching and unethical growing practices. Once you are in the hobby long enough, you realize that your love of plants come from their personalities and unique qualities rather than what the market deems as “valuable”.     Really connected with the young lady whose dad passed away from pancreatic cancer. My mother passed away from pancreatic cancer as well and we shared a passion for plants. Her money tree is the plant I hold close to my heart (and surprisingly my hardest to keep alive 🫣 I think that plant misses her as much as I do and is like ✌🏾out 😳🥺). Loved this 🪴
